FATHER MELVIN DOUCETTE

"Do not delay"

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Dear Friends

,
Jesus said, "And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." Luke 11: 9 - 10

Here is another message given to Joseph by the Lord. Jesus spoke to him saying, "I came into the world not for Myself but for you. I knew the state of the human race and how you lived in darkness and there was no salvation for you. You did not truly know the God who created you or His Son, Jesus.

You were under condemnation and death because you were living in sin. Only one could redeem you from this horrible state you had fallen into. I came as your Savior to free you from the kingdom of darkness and to bring you into the Kingdom of heaven.

I redeemed you by My suffering, death and resurrection. If you believe in Me and live as a member of My church, you are in the Kingdom I established for you. Come to Me every day and I will give you what you need.

I told the Apostles and I am telling you today that if you ask, you shall receive, seek and you will find and knock and the door will be opened. I am always ready to help you because I know that you are weak and by yourself you cannot do anything good.

I am your Savior who loves you and I am always at your side. Do not hesitate to ask for My help, especially spiritual help.

Never was it known that the Son of God, the second Person in the Blessed Trinity, would be born and give His life for the creatures of God. This is what I have done for you all because you are indeed My brothers and sisters. Come and accept your elder brother and give Him your hand and He will lead you. Do not delay because it might be too late. I love you."

Medjugorje Day By Day Sept 11 - BE UNITED TO JESUS

"Before . . . Christ glorified and enthroned, let everyone fall to their
knees in adoration" (Pope John Paul II, August 18, 2004).

Let people know about Me

Sept 11 Quote of the Day -

O my Divine Savior,

Transform me into Yourself.

May my hands be the hands of Jesus.

Grant that every faculty of my body

May serve only to glorify You.

Above all,

Transform my soul and all its powers

So that my memory, will and affection

May be the memory, will and affections

Of Jesus.

I pray You

To destroy in me all that is not of You.

Grant that I may live but in You, by You and for You,

So that I may truly say, with St. Paul,

"I live - now not I - But Christ lives in me. -St. John Gabriel

Today's Tidbit - A virtue is a habit or established capability for performing good actions. Virtues are natural, acquired and increased by repeating good acts, and/or supernatural, given by God.

Mother Teresa -
What is our spiritual life?

Meditations by Padre Pio - Be cheerful. Jesus will take care of everything. Let us pay no attention to people who do not know what they are saying. Let us trust in Jesus and our heavenly Mother; and everything will work out well.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
With Age and Maturity comes understanding
"Some are more sensitive to pain in others, and others are more sensitive to joy in others. It could be that, feeling the need of sympathy ourselves, we play a sympathetic tune on the keyboard of another; but why, it might be asked, since we all wish joy, not share in another's joy?

It has been said that it becomes easier to do both as we grow older. One of the heroes of Homer sang: `Taught by time, my heart has learned to glow For others' good and weep at others' woe.'"

St. Faustina's diary http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html -

Jesus, drive away from me the thoughts that are not in accord with Your will. I know that nothing now binds me to this earth but this work of mercy. (638)

Thursday. During the evening adoration, I saw Jesus scourged and tortured. He said to me, My daughter, I desire that even in the smallest things, you rely on your confessor.

Your greatest sacrifices do not please Me if you practice them without the confessor's permission; on the other hand, the smallest sacrifice finds great value in My eyes, if it is done with his permission. The greatest works are worthless in My eyes if they are done out of self-will, and often they are not in accord with My will and merit punishment rather than reward.

And on the other hand, even the smallest of your acts, done with the confessor's permission is pleasing in My eyes and very dear to Me. Hold firmly to this always. Be constantly on the watch, for many souls will turn back from the gates of hell and worship My mercy. But fear nothing, as I am with you. Know that of yourself you can do nothing. (639)

There is one word I heed and continually ponder; it alone is everything to me; I live by it and die by it, and it is the holy will of God. It is my daily food. My whole soul listens intently to God's wishes.

I do always what God asks of me, although my nature often quakes and I feel that the magnitude of these things is beyond my strength. I know well what I am of myself, but I also know what the grace of God is, which supports me. (652)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

SEPT 11 - BE UNITED TO JESUS

Our Lady desires us to be united with Christ through prayer:

Dear children, today I am calling you to pray with the heart. Throughout this season of grace, I wish each of you to be united to Jesus. But without unceasing prayer you will not be able to experience the beauty and greatness of the grace which God is offering you.

Therefore, little children, always fill your hearts with even the smallest prayers. Know that I am with you and that I keep constant watch over every heart that is given to me ( Monthly Message February 25, 1989).

And in Psalm 66, the author praises God for hearing his prayers:

Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will tell

what he has done for me. I cried aloud to him, And he

was extolled with my tongue. If I had cherished

iniquity in my heart, The Lord would not have

listened. But truly God has listened; He has given

heed to the words of my prayer. Blessed be God,

Because he has not rejected my prayer Or removed his

steadfast love from me. Psalm 66:16-20

Reflection:

"Little children," the Madonna says today, "at all times fill your heart with even the smallest prayers. " Let us do just that, as we continue with The Little Crown of Mary:

2. The Crown of Power: To honor the Queenship of Mary, her magnificence, her universal mediation and the power of her love.

Fifth star: Our Father…..Hail Mary…. Glory to you, Empress of the World! Bring us with you to the joys of heaven. Rejoice, O Virgin Mary, rejoice with us a thousand times!

Sixth star: Hail Mary… Glory to you, O treasure house of the Lord's graces! Grant us a share in they riches. Rejoice, O Virgin Mary, rejoice with us a thousand times!

Seventh star: Hail Mary…. Glory to you, O Mediatrix between God and man! Through you may the Almighty show us favor. Rejoice, O Virgin Mary, rejoice with us a thousand times!

Eighth star: Hail Mary…. Glory to you who forever guards truth, who steps upon the serpent's head! Be thou our loving guide. Rejoice, O Virgin Mary, rejoice with us a thousand times! Glory be….

Application:

Mediate on the prayers of the Second Crown today
