Dear friends and family,

I extend the Baptism of Truth to you with all of my heart and love. Please accept it. Let me expain:

Sept 14-16, 09 I went on a pilgrimage to Holy Love, Maranantha Springs in Elyria Ohio. I have been there many times before. (www.holylove.org) It is an Ecumenical apparition site where Our Lady appears to a visionary as well as Jesus and some of the saints.

During the apparition, Our Lady invited those present to accept the Baptism of Truth, which I did as I was present on the United Hearts Field at the time. An angel was given to those who accepted this Baptism of Truth to guard the Truth in their hearts. Therefore, I believe I received one.

The other day , I received messages from Holy Love regarding the Baptism of Truth via their website. There are two messages for September 18, 2009. (www.holylove.org). In the first message, Our Lady says, "Those who were here present can now extend this Baptism of Truth to others simply by desiring to do so in their own heart. It can be multiplied and proliferated by all who recieve it." .......

The second message is from Jesus, He says , " ....I want to help you understand that the Baptism of Truth which you received in the field of the United Hearts on the Feast of My Mother's Sorrows, can change the heart of the world if proliferated with zeal. Do so then with Holy Love in your hearts."....
So my dear friends and family, I , with love in my heart and all the zeal within me extend this Baptism of Truth to you. Please accept it and pass it on to those you know and love and ask them to do the same. Together, with Jesus and Mary, let us all change the heart of the world! AMEN!

"In this country, truth has become so compromised that people do not know truth from fiction. That is why I extended to everyone the Baptism of Truth on My Feast of Sorrows. Those who were here present* can now extend this Baptism of Truth to others by simply desiring to do so in their own heart. It can be multiplied and proliferated by all who receive it. The angels given to My children in the Field of the United Hearts on the night of the apparition will not be multiplied with each Baptism of Truth, but will continually guard the truth in the hearts of those who had received angels at the apparition that night."

disease, sown like a seed in the field (incubation period) will spread
everywhere rapidly and make great progress."

"My children, here is the ONLY remedy which could save you. You are familiar with the Hawthorn which grows practically in all hedges.

The leaves of the Hawthorn, not the wood, can arrest the progress of this disease."

"You will gather the leaves, not the wood. Even dry, they will keep their efficacy.

You will put them into boiling water and leave them there for 14 minutes, covering the receptacle so that the steam remains therein.

At the onset of this disease, one must use this remedy three times a day."

"This disease will produce a continual vomiting and nausea. If the remedy is taken too late, the part of the body affected will become black and in the black there will be seen a sort of pale, yellow streak."

Daily Consecration to the Eternal Father

For the greater glory of God and for the salvation of all, I consecrate myself to You, O' Eternal Father, as one of Your faithful remnant. Behold, I come to do Your Will. With the help of Your Grace, I will keep Your Commandments. I will love and reverence You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. I will love my neighbor as You love me.

I make this Consecration through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Your beloved Son, Jesus.

O' Eternal Father, send forth Your Holy Spirit to restore my/our broken image and likeness of You. Send forth also Your entire Heavenly Court, all the celestial choirs of Your angels and all Your Saints, to aid me/us in my/our struggle against all the forces of evil in this present darkness. Amen. Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary Protectress of Africa

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Protectress of Africa, you have given to the world the true Light, Jesus Christ. Through your obedience to the Father and the grace of the Holy Spirit, you have given us the source of our reconciliation and our justice, Jesus Christ, our peace and our joy.

Mother of Tenderness and Wisdom, show us Jesus, your Son and the Son of God. Guide our path of conversion, so that Jesus might shine his glory on us in every aspect of our personal, familial and social lives.

Mother, full of Mercy and Justice, through your docility to the Spirit, the Counselor, obtain for us the grace to be witnesses of the Risen Lord, so that we will increasingly become the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

Mother of Perpetual Help, we entrust to your maternal intercession the preparation and fruits of the Second Special Assembly for Africa. Queen of Peace, pray for us! Our Lady of Africa, pray for us!

Praise be to Jesus for Jesus is Lord, Saviour, Redeemer, Reconciler of all nations......

I plead your most Precious Blood over the words you give our Jesus please take away all that is not of you.......Beloved Daughter my little one of My Most Wounded Sacred Heart. It has been a while that I have given you words for the world, but this day as many are hearing the words of wars, catastrophes, calamities, earth shattering news breaking are My Children LISTENING?

I do not come this day to give you words of warning, no My little one, I come to ask for prayer, for it is only prayer that can change this world. I know you are not understanding why I have brought you back and taken so much from you, oh My little one do not be sad for it is through surrendering your all, being stripped of all that is not of Me, leaving you alone that you can draw closer to Me.

Yes, I understand the difficulties you have in prayer that is darkness of the soul My Little One and you will see that once this darkness leaves you will enjoy only LIGHT, MY LIGHT My little one. Yes I am asking you to have a NFWP in December with My Beloved Fr. Melvin and for those of My children who will attend will see not only My Love and My Mercy but will know and see My Holy Mother.

For this is the time of Her annual NFWP in a land where sin abounds but My MERCY WILL OVERTAKE! It has been many years that you have done this novena in honor of My Beloved Mother, from December 4 through December 12, 2009 she will be there each day and many will see and not believe but will know THAT SHE IS as she said to Juan Diego- Know and understand well, you the most humble of my son, that I am the ever virgin Holy Mary, Mother of the True God for whom we live, of the Creator of all things, Lord of heaven and the earth.

I wish that a temple be erected here quickly, so I may therein exhibit and give all my love, compassion, help, and protection, because I am your merciful mother, to you, and to all the inhabitants on this land and all the rest who love me, invoke and confide in me; listen there to their lamentations, and remedy all their miseries, afflictions and sorrows.

And to accomplish what my clemency pretends, go to the palace of the bishop of Mexico, and you will say to him that I manifest my great desire, that here on this plain a temple be built to me; you will accurately relate all you have seen and admired, and what you have heard. Be assured that I will be most grateful and will reward you, because I will make you happy and worthy of recompense for the effort and fatigue in what you will obtain of what I have entrusted. Second Apparition

Hark, my son the least, you must understand that I have many servants and messengers, to whom I must entrust the delivery of my message, and carry my wish, but it is of precise detail that you yourself solicit and assist and that through your mediation my wish be complied.

I earnestly implore, my son the least, and with sternness I command that you again go tomorrow and see the bishop. You go in my name, and make known my wish in its entirety that he has to start the erection of a temple which I ask of him. And again tell him that I, in person, the ever-virgin Holy Mary, Mother of God, sent you.

Third Apparition

Well and good, my little dear, you will return here tomorrow, so you may take to the bishop the sign he has requested. With this he will believe you, and in this regard he will not doubt you nor will he be suspicious of you; and know, my little dear, that I will reward your solicitude and effort and fatigue spent of my behalf. Lo! go now. I will await you here tomorrow.

Fourth Apparition

Hear me and understand well, my son the least, that nothing should frighten or grieve you. Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection?

Am I not your health? Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish? Do not grieve nor be disturbed by anything. Do not be afflicted by the illness of your uncle, who will not die now of it. be assured that he is now cured.

(And then his uncle was cured, as it was later learned.)

When Juan Diego heard these words from the Lady from heaven

Climb, my son the least, to the top of the hill; there where you saw me and I gave you orders, you will find different flowers. Cut them, gather them, assemble them, then come and bring them before my presence.

My son the least, this diversity of roses is the proof and the sign which you will take to the bishop. You will tell him in my name that he will see in them my wish and that he will have to comply to it. You are my ambassador, most worthy of all confidence.

Rigorously I command you that only before the presence of the bishop will you unfold your mantle and disclose what you are carrying. This idea uses liturgy and prayers as tools to help understand, explain and pass on the important doctrines of the Church. An obvious example of this the Creed we pray at Mass. The Creed states what we believe, it can be taught easily to others, and it can help us understand our Faith.

OCTOBER 27 - GROW IN YOUR WORK FOR THE CHURCH
In this weekly message, Our Lady issues a special call

Dear children, today I wish to call you to work within the church. I love each of you equally and desire that you do this work as much as possible. I know that you can, dear children, but you feel small and inadequate in these things. You need to be courageous and, like little flowers, grow in your work for the church and for Jesus. This will be good for everyone. (Weekly Message October 31, 1985).

In 1 Corinthians, Paul also calls the people to ministry :

Now, brothers and sisters, you know that members of the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints; I urge you to put yourselves at the service of such people, and of everyone who works and toils with them (1 Cor 16 :15-16).

Reflection:
At our confirmation, we were commissioned to assume an active role in the church as adult Christians. Today St. Paul and Our Lady remind us of that role, asking that we translate it into concrete action.

An illustration :
In the 1930's a young traveler was exploring the French Alps when he came upon a vast stretch of barren, desolate land. In the middle of this vast wasteland was a stooped old man with a sack of acorns on his back and a four-foot-long iron pipe in his hand.

The man was using the iron pipe to punch holes in the ground. Then from the sack he would take an acorn and put it in the hole. The old man told the traveler, " I've planted over 100,000 acorns. Maybe only a tenth of them will grow. " The old man's wife and son had died, and this was how he spent his final years.

Twenty-five years later the traveler returned to the same desolate spot. What he saw amazed him the land was covered with a beautiful forest two miles wide and five miles long. Birds were singing, animals were playing, and wildflowers perfumed the air, all because someone cared.

The Blessed Virgin calls us to action as well, to do our part to spread God's kingdom on earth. We may not be able to change the whole world, but we can change part of it, just as the old man did.

Today St. Paul and Our Lady remind us of that role, asking that we translate it into concrete action. We received our sack of acorns and our iron pipe when we were confirmed. Now it's up to us to do something with them.

The Sacred Heart is a symbol of God's unfathomable love. As St. John writes :

Reflection:

A Valentine might be considered a pale reflection of the Sacred Heart it symbolizes human love, while the Heart of Jesus represents the infinite, divine love of Christ himself. Devotion to the Sacred Heart, then, is devotion to God's love, which we strive to imitate. This contemporary Sacred Heart Psalm by Fr.

Edward Hays expresses this longing :

O Divine Beloved, so often I am casual and halfhearted in my love for you my God.

Come and set my heart ablaze with the fire of your love.

Inflame my hearts and prayers as you did for your chosen son Jesus.

His holy heart was constantly on fire with a consuming love for you, his God.

Envelop me in your gleaming Spirit, that my lukewarm prayers and acts may spring alive with the fire of faith.

Reflection:

The Jewish Talmud says, " He who gives alms is greater than Moses. " But money was not the only kind of alms people gave to the needy. The Talmud also says, "

Whoever gives a small coin to a poor person will receive six blessings, but whoever gives a kind word to a poor person will receive eleven blessings. " Even if we can't always give money , we can give much more : forgiveness to our enemies, kindness to the elderly, example to the young, and love to all.

Application:
How generous are we in our giving? The following prayer is a Prayer for Generosity :

Father of the poor and needy, teach us to understand that generosity consists not only in providing material help but in every act of helpfulness toward those who stand in need of it, and that every human being stands in need of friendliness, sympathy, and understanding.

Teach us to know that in the measure in which we give we also receive, that every worthy thing we do brings its own reward, and that in seeking any other kind of reward we spoil the grace of what we do. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Who art in Heaven, (and Who art in me)

Hallowed be Thy Name. (Holy be Thy Name, praised be Thy Name, thanks be to Thy Most Holy Name)

Thy Kingdom come. (now - on earth and in me)

Thy Will be done, (now - on earth and in me)

on earth as it is in Heaven. (at the Throne of God, with the Trinity, Our Lady and all the Angels and Saints)

Give us this day our daily bread. (the Bread of your Divine Will, the Bread of Life in the Eucharist, and the bread we need to eat to sustain our bodies)

And forgive us our trespasses(forgive us our sins, our imperfections and our hesitancies in the face of temptation)

As we forgive those (or as we choose not to forgive those) who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,(for we are weak, we are worthless, we are wretched & we are nothing)

But deliver us from evil.(for it is only through your grace, not by our works alonenor our merit that we can escape eternal damnation)

1. My daughter, I want to teach you about spiritual warfare. Never trust in yourself, but abandon yourself totally to My will. In desolation, darkness and various doubts, have recourse to Me

2. Do not bargain with any temptation; lock yourself immediately in My Heart

3. Put your self-love in the last place, so that it does not taint your deeds.

"Contemplation of the Eucharist must urge all members of the Church, in the first place the priests, ministers of the Eucharist, to revive their commitment of faith. The celibacy that the priests received as a precious gift and the sign of the undivided love toward God and the neighbor is founded upon the Eucharistic mystery, celebrated and adored. Eucharistic spirituality must also be the interior motor of any activity for the lay persons, and no dichotomy is admissible between

Meditations by Padre Pio - Anxiety is one of the greatest traitors that real virtue and solid devotion can ever have. It pretends to warm us to do good works, but doesn't and we grow cold; it makes us run only to make us trip. One must be careful of this on all occasions particularly at prayer.

And to better succeed it would be well to remember that graces and the consolations of prayer are not waters of this earth, but of Heaven, and that therefore all our efforts are not sufficient to make them fall, even though it is necessary to prepare oneself with great diligence, but always humbly and tranquilly; one must keep one's heart turned to Heaven and wait from there the Heavenly dew.

Monday of Holy Week. I asked the Lord to let me take part in His Sorrowful Passion that I might experience in soul and body, to the extent that this is possible for a creature, His bitter Passion. I asked to experience all the bitterness, insofar as this was possible. And the Lord answered that He would give me this grace, and that on Thursday, after Holy Communion, He would grant this in a special way. (1034)

I find myself so weak that were it not for Holy Communion I would fall continually. One thing alone sustains me, and that is Holy Communion. From it I draw my strength; in it is all my comfort. I fear life on days when I do not receive Holy Communion. I fear my own self. Jesus concealed in the Host is everything to me. From the tabernacle I draw strength, power, courage, and light. Here, I seek consolation in time of anguish. I would not know how to give glory to God if I did not have the Eucharist in my heart. (1037)

Oct 23 - I WANTED TO ROUSE THE FAITH

During this apparition on a Monday, Marija asks the Gospa why she failed to give her regular weekly message :

I do not wish to force anyone to do what they neither feel or desire, even though I had a special message for the parish in which I wanted to rouse the faith of each believer. But truly, only a small number have accepted my Thursday messages, when in the beginning there were many. It's become a routine affair for them. And lately some are asking for the message only our of curiosity, and not out of faith and devotion to my Son and me (Special Message April 30, 1984).

Also concerned that the people persevere in their faith, Christ said :

Be faithful until death, I will give you the crown of life (Rev 2 :10).

Reflection:

A missionary named Noreen Towers had worked for years among the poor in Nigeria. In spite of all her efforts, she saw absolutely no progress. She says : " I became despondent. I finally reached the breaking point one night … I was beaten. When I went to bed, I didn't know how I could continue.

The next morning, shortly after she awoke, something strange happened to Noreen. It was as though Jesus said to her, " Can you not trust my plan for you? " She writes :

Then I realized that I did not have to see the plan; I only had to trust him. I arose form my bed a different person. My encounter with the living Christ changed me from a broken, defeated person into a person with unshakable hope and faith.

Today, the woman's work among the poor is bearing remarkable fruit.

Like all the virtues, perseverance is a gift of grace, yet Christ never fails to bestow it on those who ask.

This is the primary challenge to rely not on our own strength and endurance, but on the Lord's. It was summarized once in a small prayer : " O Lord, I can't. You can. Please. "

Application:

Today, let us pray to Our Lady for perseverance under one of her most revered titles, Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

Medjugorje Day By Day Oct 24 - YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED

"The Rosary does not run counter to meditation on the Word of God and to liturgical prayer, rather it represents their natural and ideal complement, especially as a form of preparation and thanksgiving for Eucharistic celebration.
Christ, encountered in the Gospel and the Sacrament, is also contemplated with Mary in the various monuments of His life, thanks to the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries" (Pope Benedict XVI, Oct. 16, 2005).

"Deliverance [from the present crisis in the Church] will come about through a twin devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and Mary, Help of Christians" (Fr. Richard Foley, S.J.).

Prayer is the breath of life to our soul; holiness is impossible without it.
Padre Pio - Why should you worry if Jesus wants to make you reach the heavenly homeland through deserts or fields, when we get to blessed eternity anyway either by one or the other? Cast aside all excessive preoccupations that derive from the trials the good God sends you; and if this is not possible, do not think about it and be resigned in everything to the Divine Will.

Oct 24 - YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED

Regarding preparation for prayer, Our Lady once said :

You have to be prepared. If there are some sins, you must pull them out, otherwise you will not be able to enter into prayer. If you have worries, you should submit them to God (First Years March 1085).

And in John's gospel, Christ promises to answer all prayers :

I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask for anything, I will do it (Jan 14 :13-14).

Reflection:
If our prayer is to be attentive and from the heart, we must prepare for this encounter with the Lord, as Our Lady asks of us today. This would include a place of quiet, a relaxed position, and a few deep breaths.

Sins and worries should be given over to God so that the mind is untroubled. Last, a prayer of preparation would be appropriate, such as the following Dedication of a Prayer Time :

Gracious and beloved Lord,

At the beginning of this time of prayer,

I lift up to you

My heart overflowing with gratitude

For the many gifts and blessings

That you have given me.

I dedicate this time of worship and prayer,

And the graceful energy that shall flow

Outward from the altar of my heart

As an offering for the welfare of all your children.

May your Holy Spirit take me by the hand

And lead me deep into the center of my heart,

Into your Holy of Holies. Amen.

Simply use this prayer of preparation, or one of your own, before your next prayer time.
Medjugorje Day By Day Oct 20 - PRAY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

"Souls . . . leave me alone by night, alone by day, in the churches. They no longer care about the Sacrament of the Altar. Hardly anyone ever speaks of this Sacrament of Love. Even those who do speak, alas, do so with great indifference and coldness. My heart is forgotten" (Words of Jesus to St. Padre Pio).

Mother Teresa - Believe in Jesus trust in Him with blind and absolute confidence because He is Jesus. Believe that Jesus and Jesus alone is life and sanctity is nothing but that same Jesus intimately living in you; then His hand will be free with you.

Meditations by Padre Pio - All of us are not called by God to save souls and propagate His glory by the noble apostolate of preaching? (but) one can promote God's glory and work for the salvation of souls by means of a truly Christian life, by praying without ceasing that "His Kingdom come?" that "we may not be led into temptation" and that "He deliver us from evil." This is what you ought to do offering yourself continually to the Lord for this purpose.

Whatever you do, you do it to Christ!

" On the Last Day, Our Blessed Lord said that He will judge us by our attitude to hospitality: `When did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and not care for You?' (Matthew 25: 44). Hospitality, therefore, not only has the duties of which we are aware, but also the more terrible awareness that it is Christ Who is the Stranger.

In all our dealings, we are dealing with the Lord Himself, though we know it not. Maybe if we could see our wars aright, in between two trenches of the enemies, or between a plane in the sky and the target beneath, there is Christ's Body being shot full of holes. What men do to one another, they do to Him, whether the act be of kindness or bitterness. "

After these words, the knowledge of God's will came to me; that is to say, I now see everything from a higher point of view and accept all events and things, pleasant and unpleasant, with love, as tokens of the heavenly Father's special affection. (956)

The pure offering of my will, will burn on the altar of love. That my sacrifice may be perfect, I unite myself closely with the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. When great sufferings will cause my nature to tremble, and my physical and spiritual strength will diminish, then will I hide myself deep in the open wound of the Heart of Jesus, silent as a dove, without complaint.

Let all my desires, even the holiest, noblest and most beautiful, take always the last place and Your holy will, the very first. The least of Your desires, O Lord, is more precious to me than heaven, with all its treasures. Oct 20 - PRAY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

Our Lady speaks today of the Holy Spirit:

The important thing is to pray to the Holy Spirit that he may descend upon you. When you have him, you have everything. (FY 10-21-83

In John's gospel, Jesus also speaks of the Holy Spirit:

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever. This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you (John 14:16-17).

Reflection:

"Pray to the Holy Spirit," the Blessed Mother tells us today; and Jesus assures us that the Spirit" abides with you and is in you."

Let us then use this time to pray to the Spirit, using St. Augustine's Prayer for the Indwelling of the Spirit:

Holy Spirit, powerful Consoler, sacred Bond of the Father and the Son, Hope of the afflicted, descend into my heart and establish in it your loving dominion. Enkindle in my tepid soul the fire of your Love so that I may be wholly subject to you.

We believe that when you dwell in us, you also prepare a dwelling for the Father and the Son. Deign, therefore, to come to me, Consoler of abandoned souls, and Protector of the needy. Help the afflicted, strengthen the weak, and support the wavering.

Come and purify me. let no evil desire take possession of me. You love the humble and resist the proud. Come to me, glory of the living, and hope of the dying. Lead me by your grace that I may always be pleasing to you.

Jesus speaks: ( L. after I am awake now after dreamvision has occurred)
(Testing the spirits)

"Write what you have seen My child! Do not dramatize, delete or add anything. The dream vision concerns the world not just your country."

Jesus speaks while I (L. am sleeping and dreamvision is taking place)
" You are with many people when the vision began and you fell on your face on the beach. (slain in the Holy Spirit)

Evil people have planted land mines on the beaches without being killed or blown to the skies. The safety of all countries particularly the country I showed you. "

I (L.) took this to mean U.S.A. for the people are all Americans in my dreamvision. I called for My helpmate which was (mk) and she came and was present on the beach. The people around me (LST) were in awe of what they saw in my actions. (again it was as though I was slain in the spirit. I was now laying face down on the beach and the vision again continued.

The land mines began to fire simultaneously. The sky was battleship gray- - -the homes nearby almost obliterated. Yet you could see homes but NO people excepting the ones who were with me on the beach. I saw a huge frame house that had wooden shingles on it and it was gray trimmed in yellow and there were many houses in the background.

Jesus:

"All this will be and it will be soon.

It will be a ring of fire circling every country. There will be no way to enter and no way to leave. You will be trapped in the ring of fire. Nothing...no one will escape the evil one's (satan) plan to destruct. All...everything will be destroyed by the fire."

With this I woke up (from my sleeping) and looked around and then went promptly back into my sleeping and my dream vision continued where it left off.

Again I had a sense of utter destruction. There was an eerie quiet about it as the people on the beach that were with me were again awestruck. I again I awake out of the dream vision trembling. ( this vision was very frightening to experience)

Then I (Louise) heard again Jesus saying later while I am awake now explaining the symbolism of the dream vision.

Jesus:

"The gray house with creamy yellow trim stands like a sentinel while the cream trim is a beacon in the darkness. I am the 'Light in the Darkness.' I am your Refuge.' Look to Me. Come to Me. The darkness which covers the earth IS sin and it is thick, dense.

The houses in the background are My people seeking shelter. The land mines are the various devices used by evil men to put fear into the hearts of My people, to rid the world of believers. ( in Me) The kind of sins are as innumerable as the sands on the beach. The sun cannot give its light through the darkness (clou

For you yourselves know, brothers, that our reception among you was not without effect. Rather, after we had suffered and been insolently treated, as you know in Philippi, we drew courage through our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much struggle. Our exhortation was not from delusion or impure motives, nor did it work through deception. But as we were judged worthy by God to be entrusted with the gospel, that is how we speak, not as trying to please human beings, but rather God, who judges our hearts.

Nor, indeed, did we ever appear with flattering speech, as you know, or with a pretext for greed God is witness nor did we seek praise from human beings, either from you or from others, although we were able to impose our weight as apostles of Christ. Rather, we were gentle among you, as a nursing mother cares for her children. With such affection for you, we were determined to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our very selves as well, so dearly beloved had you become to us.

You recall, brothers, our toil and drudgery. Working night and day in order not to burden any of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. You are witnesses, and so is God, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved toward you believers. ...We treated each one of you as a father treats his children... 1 Thessalonians 2:1-11

I give you below the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him these words,

I chose twelve men to be Apostles and all of them worked very well except one who betrayed Me. Another great Apostle was St. Paul whom I chose sometime after My resurrection. All the Apostles except Saint John were martyred for the faith. They are all with Me now in heaven.

The Bishops and the priests are the successors of the Apostles. I want you all to pray for these men who are following in the footsteps of My Apostles. Some of them have fallen away because of sin but most of them are working very well.

Pray that they have an intimate relationship with Me and come to prayer every day. I want them all to teach the true doctrine, which I gave My Church when I was on earth. May they preach the whole doctrine for they are not to pick and choose what they like but preach every aspect of the doctrine. I bless all those who pray for their Bishops and priests.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words,

Prayer is very important in the life of a Christian. All those who believe in Me are called to prayer, to adoration and to ask the Father for all you need. A prayer that is dear to Me is contemplative prayer.

This is a heart to heart prayer with Me, your Savior. I wish that all Christians would spend time in contemplative prayer every day, and in this way you will come to know Me intimately. You will truly become My friend. You know that I live in your heart if you follow Me, so, come and visit Me there and repeat My name.

This is the prayer for today for all those who are so busy running around and always in a hurry. You need to quiet down and be at rest and this is what contemplative prayer does to you. In this peaceful gaze, I will fill you with My love, My peace and My joy. You will receive from Me all the graces you need to do good and avoid evil. I will also give you an increase of faith, hope and love, these wonderful gifts that come from Me. Remain united to Me every day and you will be blessed.

Jesus Desires To Be An Everyday Priority In Our Lives

Today I spent time alone with Jesus in adoration thanking Him for His many blessings bestowed upon my family and myself and prayed for those with special needs and intentions. Then I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and asked Jesus to turn off all exterior distraction so that I might only hear what comes from His heart to mine.

On my knees I prayed Speak Lord, Your servant listens. Jesus responded to my prayer saying: My sweet child Eileen, you have kept your promise to remain in Me and keep My Commandments. Therefore, I remain in you and guide your footsteps.

It is My desire for all My children to keep Me as a priority in their days so that I can remain in them and they in Me. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.

Note: In my heart I distinctly believe that Jesus' message clearly makes reference to the fact that while many Catholics continue to go to Mass on Sunday, they are lax about the commandments and often can be heard saying: It's the Twentieth Century or They couldn't get married in the church, their marriage was not annulled. Morals and values are watered down for each new generation, making the Commandments something that God made, yet are being changed by man with excuses!

ILL WINDS BLOW AGAINST YOU. THE CHURCH ESPECIALLY SHALL BE ATTACKED AND YOUR PRAYERS WILL BE THE STRENGTH PLACED ACCORDINGLY. THE POPE KNOWS OF THIS PLIGHT AND GRIEVES.

I am writing these lines on September 15, 2001, the feast of Our lady of Sorrows. I am deeply moved to write this article on the Apparitions of Kibeho today. Since last June, when these Apparitions were officially recognized by the Church, I had the intention of informing the readers of Michael about them. It is only today that I got together all of the documents that allow me to write about them in detail.

Our Lady probably wanted to impregnate us with the spirit of the feast of Her Sorrows, so that Her Message would be better understood. She also wanted that the sad events that took place in the United States make us understand better the reason for Her tears, so that we may be more attentive and obedient to Her requests. May this article help to convert a multitude of souls, for the consolation of the Mother of the Word, our Holy Mother of Sorrows. This is our wish!

The Michael Journal first reported about the Apparitions of Our lady in Kibeho in Rwanda, Africa, in its January-February, 1988 issue. These Apparitions have just been officially recognized by the Church. The news was reported in the July 11, 2001 issue of the Vatican weekly L'Osservatore Romano. The Apparitions of the Mother of the Word began in November, 1981, and took place until 1989. These Messages of Our Lady in Kibeho concern the whole world.

Declaration of the Bishop of Gikongoro (excerpts)

On July 2, 2001, the Holy See released the declaration of Bishop Augustin Misago of Gikongoro, on the Apparitions that took place in 1982-83 in Kibeho. Here are some excerpts:

Two study commissions, one of doctors and one of theologians, were immediately set up by the local Bishop; they have been at work since April 1982... The advanced state of the study commissions' work now offers sufficient elements to allow competent ecclesiastical authorities to pronounce definitively on this question.

As a result, Bishop Augustin Misago of Gikongoro, who represents this authority, has published his declaration concerning the definitive judgement on the Apparitions of Kibeho, Rwanda. This important event in the history of the Diocese of Gikongoro, as in the life of the Church in Rwanda, took place on 29 June 2001, on the solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, during a solemn Mass concelebrated in the cathedral of Gikongoro. All the Catholic bishops of Rwanda, with the Apostolic Nuncio of Kigali, were present...

The Bishop declared: Yes, the Virgin Mary appeared at Kibeho on November 28, 1981, and in the months that followed. There are more reasons to believe in the Apparitions than to deny them... The Apparitions of Kibeho are now officially recognized... The name given to the Marian sanctuary at Kibeho is "Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows".

That Kibeho become a place of pilgrimage and of encounter for all who seek Christ and who come there to pray, a fundamental centre of conversion, of reparation for the sins of the world and of reconciliation, a point of meeting for all who were dispersed, as for those who aspire to the values of compassion and fraternity without borders, a fundamental centre that recalls the Gospel of the Cross.

This Declaration makes it possible to respond to the expectations of the People of God and to bring new enthusiasm to the public devotion recognized already for 13 years. (Taken from L'Osservatore Romano?, weekly edition in English, July 11, 2001, page 8.)
In 1988, without officially approving of the Apparitions, Bishop Jean Baptiste Gahamanyi, of the Diocese of Butare, of which Kibeho was a part at that time, authorized public devotion at the site of the Apparitions. Today, Kinbeho is part of the Diocese of Gikongoro, led by Bishop Augustin Misago.

Rwanda in 1980

Vandalism was rampant all over the country from 1980 to 1981. Almost all of the statues of the Virgin Mary that were at the entrance of villages were mutilated, destroyed, or stolen. This was a sad time when Mary was almost forgotten, and barely prayed to. Even several priests did not pray the Rosary any more, influenced by the propaganda of false theologians who would like to make us believe that this devotion is out of date. Catholics are humiliated; the clergy begins to give up.

It is in this time of discouragement that Mary chose to visit Rwanda.. From 1981 to 1989, this country heard of the Virgin Mary as never before. Kibeho is located in the south of the country, the poorest area of Rwanda. The presence, in this place, of two dynamic priests made the population fervent.

The school of the Apparitions

At the start of the new school year in 1981, there were 120 students, divided into three classes. Three nuns are directing the school. The other teachers one woman and five men are lay people. They are all Rwandans. Two are Protestant, the others are Catholic. The majority of the students are Catholic, but there are also 17 Protestant and 2 Moslem students. Morals are far from being exemplary.

The first Apparition

Alphonsine Mumreke, the first seer of Kibeho, is 17 years old, and is in her first year at the secondary school of Kibeho. She is very pious, and has always shown a great love for the Blessed Virgin. She also likes to attend Holy Mass. Here is how she relates the first Apparition:

It took place on Saturday, November 28, 1981, at 12:35 p.m. I was in the dining room of the school, serving my classmates. All of a sudden, I heard a voice calling me.

Mary: My daughter.

Alphonsine: Here I am.

I went to the corridor, and saw a very beautiful woman. I knelt down, made the Sign of the Cross, and asked: Who are you?

Mary: Ndi Nyina Wa Jambo (in the local language, I am the Mother of the Word). In the religion, what do you prefer?

Alphonsine: I love God and His Mother, who gave us the Child who redeemed us.

Mary: If it is so, I have come to calm you, because I have heard your prayers. I would like your friends to have Faith, because they do not believe strongly enough.

Alphonsine: Mother of the Saviour, if it is really You who has come to tell us that here, in this school, we have little Faith, You do love us. I am really filled with joy that You appear to me.

Alphonsine relates: The Virgin was not white as She is usually seen in holy pictures. I could not determine the color of Her skin, but She was of incomparable beauty. She was barefoot and had a seamless white dress, and also a white veil on Her head. Her hands were clasped together on Her breast, and Her fingers pointed to the sky. Later, I was told that I was in the dining room. My classmates told me that I was speaking in several languages: French, English, Kinyarwanda, etc.

When the Blessed Virgin was about to leave, I said three Hail Marys' and the prayer, Come, Holy Spirit. When She left, I saw Her rise to Heaven like Jesus.

At the end of the Apparition, the seer remained motionless for a quarter of an hour, as if she was paralyzed, and all the efforts to get her out of ecstasy were in vain. Neither the teachers nor the nuns gave credence to what Alphonsine said. They rather spoke of illness instead of apparitions.

The phenomenon took place again the next day, on November 29. In December, the Apparitions took place almost every Saturday. Excited by their curiosity, the students and the teachers test the reality of the ecstasies. They burn Alphonsine with a match, or prick her with a pin, but the seer has no reactions.

Alphonsine suffered a lot during this period of subtle persecution. They mocked her: Here comes the seer! During the May 8, 1982 Apparition, Alphonsine complained to the Virgin Mary: People say that we are crazy. This day, her mother was present for the first time.

Many signs are given by Heaven to bring the students and the teachers to believe in the authenticity of the Apparitions.

The students who had rosaries brought them to have them blessed by the Blessed Virgin. They were all mixed up together, so it was impossible for Alphonsine to know their owners. Alphonsine took the rosaries and offered them to the Blessed Virgin. Some rosaries became too heavy, and the seer could not lift them and ask for the blessing. One then noticed that the heavy Rosary in question belonged to a student who did not believe in the authenticity of the Apparitions, and who criticized them.

There was also, in the dormitory, the Apparition of a star and of sparkling lights that all could see.

If the first Apparition took place in the dining room, during the day, the following Apparitions took place in the evening, in the dormitory, in the room of the seer. The Virgin Mary often told the seer about the date of Her next Apparition.

In Rwanda, news goes fast. People rush up to be present at the time of the Apparitions. Upon the request of the Bishop, the seer spoke about it to the Director of the school. The next meetings will take place outdoors, in the schoolyard. Some Apparitions will continue to take place in the dormitory private Apparitions that concern only the seer and the students.

Mary will progressively make Herself known to the students, and win them over. She gives advice, encourages, makes remarks to bring them on the right path. She is really the Mother who, in Her motherly love, educates Her children. Our Lady really became the Queen of this school. She should be the Queen of all schools!

One knows that the present situation in schools worldwide is awful, because God has been chased out, because His law is no longer taught.. It is even forbidden to pray to Him in schools! Every morning, when we go to Mass, our heart breaks when we see school buses arriving to school, loaded with children.

Poor little ones, who are taught that God does not exist! Mary came to Kibeho in a school, to set the example to the whole world, and to show how students can be transformed when God's law is taught in schools.

Because of the strong opposition that the first Apparitions had caused, some teachers and students had said: ?We will believe in the coming in our school of Mary, the Mother of God, only if She appears to others besides Alphonsine. The seer replied to them: Pray yourselves to obtain this favor.

Two other seers

On January 12, 1982, Our Lady grants the prayers of the students, and also appears to a young girl, Anathalie Mukamazimpaka, and will appear to her until December 3, 1983.

Marie Claire Mukangango presents the Rosary of Seven Sorrows. She was killed during the war in 1994.

And on March 2, 1982, to the surprise of all, Our Lady appears to Marie Claire Mukangango. It is like a bomb in the school, for Marie Claire was one of those who had showed her unbelief the most. Her Christian life was nothing special, and was even far from being exemplary! She called Alphonsine a fool. And now, it is her turn to be seized by a mysterious power.

The Virgin Mary chose her to spread Her message, and from now on, Marie Claire keeps saying: One must meditate on the Passion of Jesus, and on the deep sorrows of His Mother. One must recite the Rosary every day, and also the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of Mary, to obtain the favour of repentance. Marie Claire will have Apparitions until September 15, 1982.

The blessing of water

In January and February, 1982, diabolical phenomena take place in the dormitory. To cast away these unknown forces, the nuns use Lourdes' water, which has a soothing effect, but soon there is no more water left. So Anathalie is asked to have some water blessed by the Virgin Mary during the Apparitions. This was on March 2, 1982. Thus started, at Kibeho, the habit of having water blessed by the Virgin Mary before the Apparition.

There are now three seers at Kibeho, all from the college. The three of them are now recognized by the Church: Alphonsine, Anathalie, and Marie Claire.

Other Apparition sites

The Apparitions of Mary, that followed the first one to Alphonsine, take place in the dormitory until January 16, 1982, and from that date, either in the schoolyard, for public Apparitions, or in the dormitory of the students, or in a place converted into a chapel. It is there that the students come to pray in the evening, and it will be the moment favored by the Blessed Virgin to visit one of the seers of the school.

The students are present during the Apparition, and often the talks with the Virgin are about school life. These Apparitions are considered private, and the public is not allowed.

However, all can attend the Apparitions in the schoolyard. There is a conversation between the seer and the Apparition. All can hear and record the words of the seer, but they obviously cannot hear the words of the Virgin Mary. Very soon, the crowds become larger, especially in May, 1982, the month dedicated to Mary.

A podium and powerful speakers are installed to allow journalists and the members of the medical and theological commission to circulate freely, and above all, to allow the population to hear the dialogue of the seers. On August 15, 1982, there were 20,000 people.

Towards the end of an Apparition, the Blessed Virgin asks the seers to bless the crowd. The seers are in ecstasy; they do not see the crowd, but a garden of flowers, some fresh, and others faded. Our Lady asks the seers to water the flowers, and explains that the fresh flowers represent people whose hearts are turned to God, whereas the faded flowers represent those whose hearts are turned to earthly things, especially to money.

Mystical journeys

There are also the mystical journeys. Alphonsine experienced this phenomenon on March 20 and 21, 1982. She informs the Sister directress and her classmates in advance: I will look dead, but don't be afraid; don't bury me!

The journey lasts eighteen hours. Priests, nurses, religious, the medical assistant of the Red Cross, all can see Alphonsine plunged into a deep sleep, her body straight and very heavy. They cannot lift her nor separate her hands that are joined. During this journey, the Blessed Virgin shows her Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell.

Another impressive phenomenon that took place in Kibeho was the fasts and the silences requested by Jesus or Mary. This was also checked by the commission of inquiry. These fasts could last up to fourteen days, without harming the health of the seers.

She prays and sings

During one Apparition, Alphonsine is cured of a severe quinsy and of a loss of voice, and also of an eye disease. During the Apparition on October 2, she fell seven times, but even when she lays on the ground, she continues to pray and to sing. She asks for the grace to detest sin, the strength not to be carried away by the desires of the flesh. She sings: Queen of Heaven and earth.

Then, as an invocation, she repeats: ?Let us help Him to save the world... In her prayers, Alphonsine often asks for vocations to the priesthood and the religious life. She does not forget the youth. She prays for peace because, she says, there are dissensions, troubles, hatred all over the world.? Finally, she prays for Bishops of Rwanda, the heads of States, and for the whole world.

Two sanctuaries

On August 5, 1982, the Virgin Mary said to Anathalie:

I speak to you, but you do not hear Me. I want to lift you, but you remain down. I call you, but you turn a deaf ear. When will you do what I ask of you? You remain indifferent to all My appeals. When will you understand? When will you take interest in what I want to say to you? I give you signs, but you remain incredulous. How long will you turn a dead ear to My appeals?

This long complaint of the Blessed Virgin follows Her request to build two sanctuaries on the place of the Apparitions. Anathalie had told the authorities, but nothing had been done yet. However, the local Bishop and the parish priest were already convinced about the reality of the Apparitions, but they had to go through the usual inquiries.

Here is the dialogue that took place between Marie Claire and Mary on April 2, 1982:

Mary: Do repent! Do repent! Do repent!

Marie Claire: But I do!

Mary: When I tell you this, I do not speak to you alone, but I speak also to all the others.. Men of our times have emptied each thing of its true meaning: he who commits a fault does not recognize that he did wrong.

Marie Claire: We are weak, without strength. Give us the strength to recognize our faults and to ask forgiveness for them.

Our Lady recommends to us to say the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows, to obtain the contrition of our sins.

On May 31, 1982, Our Lady said to Marie Claire:

?What I ask of you is repentance. If you recite this chaplet, while meditating on it, you will then have the strength to repent. Today, many people do not know any more how to ask forgiveness. They nail again the Son of God on the Cross. So I wanted to come and recall it to you, especially here in Rwanda, for here I have still found humble people, who are not attached to wealth nor money.

Our Lady asked us to recite this chaplet every day if we can, but especially on the following days: Friday, the day that recalls the crucifixion of Jesus; Tuesday, in memory of the first Apparition to Marie Claire on Tuesday, March 2, 1982; on September 14, the feast of the Holy Cross; and on September 15, the feast of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows.

A Message for statesmen

Here are excerpts from a Message of our Heavenly Mother to the seer Alphonsine during Her last Apparition on November 28, 1989. It was published in the May-June, 1990 issue of Michael:

I speak to you who hold power, and who represent the nation: save the people, instead of being their torturers. Don't rob the people; share with others. Be careful not to persecute, to muzzle those who want to denounce your errors..

I say it to you, I repeat it, whatever you do, even though you try everything to harm somebody because he loves his fellow men, defends human rights, fights for the respect of the life of others, and for the truth and all that is good, and even because he fights so that God may be loved and respected, whatever you do, you can do nothing against him.

The Virgin also said to Alphonsine: I love you very much. If I came, it is because you needed it.
Extraordinary phenomena

The pilgrims in Kibeho witnessed several extraordinary phenomena: the dance of the sun from left to right and up and down, for tens of minutes; the disappearance of the sun, replaced by a greenish moon; a dance of the stars; luminous crosses in the sky.

But the greatest miracle in Kibeho was this wave of conversions and prayers that resulted from the Apparitions. The Virgin Mary especially called Her consecrated ones and the youth, these poor young people of our times who go to schools, that are not only without God, but against God!

Bishop Jean Baptiste Gahamanyi

Bishop Jean Baptiste Gahamanyi, who was in charge of the Diocese of Butare at the time of the Apparitions, was interviewed by the French Catholic periodical ?Chretiens Magazine? (Jan. 15, 1998 issue). He said:

At the beginning of January, 1982, I invited Alphonsine to:

Ask the Virgin Her name, and for whom Her Message was intended for Kibeho, for Rwanda, for Africa, for the whole world;

Express clearly Her Message;

Appear not too late, and in a place large enough to gather many people.

For the next Apparition, Our Lady appeared in the schoolyard, but not far from the original place of the Apparitions, and this Apparition took place at 3 p.m.

The Virgin Mary said that the purpose of Her coming was to communicate a message of conversion (through a life of prayer and confession, a life renewed by the Word of God, and by works of charity and justice).

She had also stated Her name, `the Mother of the Word', so that one will not mistake Her for another mother: the child to whom She gave birth is God.

She insisted on the same message of rejection of sin, and recommended the practice of unceasing prayer that keeps us in communion with the Holy Trinity. This is how the devotion to the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary was discovered.

I have absolutely no doubt that something supernatural took place in Kibeho. The message is true; people must feel concerned.

A vision of the war later in 1994

During his 1990 visit to Rwanda, John Paul II exhorted the faithful to turn to the Virgin as a simple and sure guide, and to pray for greater commitment against local divisions, both political and ethnic.

One of the key reasons that brought the competent ecclesiastical authorities to recognize the Apparition of Kibeho as authentic was the anticipated vision of the Rwanda genocide that occurred 12 years later, in 1994.

On August 19, 1982, the seers saw ?a river of blood, people who were killing each other, abandoned corpses with no one to bury them, a tree all in flames, bodies without their heads. This prophecy seemed at first incredible, but about a decade later, in the spring of 1994, a horrifying civil war erupted in Rwanda, and, in just three months, an estimated 500,000 to one million were killed, many beheaded by machetes and dumped into the Kagea River (river of blood).

The Blessed Virgin had warned us at Kibeho that sexual promiscuity would lead to disaster. That was before the world knew about AIDS, but by 1994, Africa has seventy percent of the world's AIDS cases and entire villages were turned into ghost towns! So far, 25 million Africans have contracted AIDS.

But the warnings of the Blessed Virgin Mary were not just for Africa. "When I tell you this, I am not addressing myself strictly to you, child, but I am making this appeal to the world," the Virgin told the seer Marie-Clare Mukangango who was later killed in the war. She said the Virgin described the world as in revolt against God, the world is on the edge of catastrophe.

To avoid war and chastisements, the Mother of the Word invited the young seers and the whole world to pray, to fast, and to make penance.

Following the terrible events that took place in the United States, and that are foreshadowing a bloodier and more devastative war, we ask our readers to put into practice the request of Pope John Paul: Pray to avoid war!

And, above all, let us heed the requests of Our Lady: let us convert by going to confession, by confessing our sins with deep sorrow; let us go to Mass every Sunday; let us pray the Rosary by meditating on the mysteries that recall the main events of the life of Our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, related in the Gospel; let us recite the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows that reminds us that Mary took a close part in our Redemption, that She suffered along with Her Son Jesus to save us.

Jesus King of All Nations to His Secretary

So now, O children, listen to me, be attentive to the words of my mouth! (Prov. 7:24)Our Lord: "My child, take this message of Mine quickly to your director. "God has told me to hasten." (2 Chron. 35:21) I call upon all the faithful and in particular My consecrated ones to offer prayers and sacrifices to lessen a great chastisement that is about to fall upon mankind.

Many souls will be unprepared and they need desperately the charity of others. "Jerusalem is mindful of the days of her wretched homelessness, When her people fell into enemy hands, and she had no one to help her; When her foes gloated over her, laughed at her ruin." (Lam. 1:7) I have been patient for so long, listening to the pleading of My Holy Mother for her erring children.

The cup is overflowing. My Justice must be poured out. Yet My Mercy is ever present even when My Justice is revealed. "Turn to me and be safe, all you ends of the earth, for I am God; there is no other! By myself I swear, uttering my just decree and my unalterable word:" (Is. 45:22-23) Pray, pray, pray.

Novum! Extend your prayers yet further. Help Me to save your brothers and sisters who are in danger of being eternally lost. "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost." (Luke19:10) The earth shall be renewed. The blight of sin eradicated. "This is the covenant I will establish with them after those days, says the Lord: 'I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them upon their minds,' " he also says: "Their sins and their
evil doing I will remember no more."

Hearts That Are Blind

Today I attended our usual 8:00 Am Mass at our parish, Our Lady Of Sorrows where I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and prayed for all with special needs and intentions.

Prior to receiving the most sacred Body and Blood of Christ in the sacrament of Holy Communion, I made an Act of Contrition. On my knees with both hands covering my face, I gave thanks and praise to God. I thanked Him for all His many blessings and told Him of my appreciation for remaining in my life.

Then I prayed: Speak Lord (if it be His will), Your servant listens.

Briefly (in my mind's eye) I was looking out of what appeared to be glasses with the left eye of the glasses totally blacked out.

Then Jesus spoke responding to my heart saying: My child Eileen, My children who shut Me out of their hearts are blinded by the heart and cannot see. They cannot see Me in their life, yet take no action at all to open their hearts to Me.

Truthfully I tell you, without My grace in your life you are on a path of destruction. Open up your heart to Me and allow My grace to flow. Only then will you be able to remain in the Light and come follow Me. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.
