Dear friends and family,
I extend the Baptism of Truth to you with all of my heart and love. Please accept it. Let me expain:
Sept 14-16, 09 I went on a pilgrimage to Holy Love, Maranantha Springs in Elyria Ohio. I have been there many times before. (www.holylove.org) It is an Ecumenical apparition site where Our Lady appears to a visionary as well as Jesus and some of the saints.
During the apparition, Our Lady invited those present to accept the Baptism of Truth, which I did as I was present on the United Hearts Field at the time. An angel was given to those who accepted this Baptism of Truth to guard the Truth in their hearts. Therefore, I believe I received one.
The other day , I received messages from Holy Love regarding the Baptism of Truth via their website. There are two messages for September 18, 2009. (www.holylove.org). In the first message, Our Lady says, "Those who were here present can now extend this Baptism of Truth to others simply by desiring to do so in their own heart. It can be multiplied and proliferated by all who recieve it." .......
The second message is from Jesus, He says , " ....I want to help you understand that the Baptism of Truth which you received in the field of the United Hearts on the Feast of My Mother's Sorrows, can change the heart of the world if proliferated with zeal. Do so then with Holy Love in your hearts."....
So my dear friends and family, I , with love in my heart and all the zeal within me extend this Baptism of Truth to you. Please accept it and pass it on to those you know and love and ask them to do the same. Together, with Jesus and Mary, let us all change the heart of the world! AMEN!

"In this country, truth has become so compromised that people do not know truth from fiction. That is why I extended to everyone the Baptism of Truth on My Feast of Sorrows. The angels given to My children in the Field of the United Hearts on the night of the apparition will not be multiplied with each Baptism of Truth, but will continually guard the truth in the hearts of those who had received angels at the apparition that night."

"My children, here is the ONLY remedy which could save you. You are familiar with the Hawthorn which grows practically in all hedges.
The leaves of the Hawthorn, not the wood, can arrest the progress of this disease."
"You will gather the leaves, not the wood. Even dry, they will keep their efficacy.
You will put them into boiling water and leave them there for 14 minutes, covering the receptacle so that the steam remains therein.

Daily Consecration to the Eternal Father
For the greater glory of God and for the salvation of all, I consecrate myself to You, O' Eternal Father, as one of Your faithful remnant. Behold, I come to do Your Will. With the help of Your Grace, I will keep Your Commandments. I will love and reverence You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. I will love my neighbor as You love me.
I make this Consecration through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Your beloved Son, Jesus.
O' Eternal Father, send forth Your Holy Spirit to restore my/our broken image and likeness of You. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Protectress of Africa, you have given to the world the true Light, Jesus Christ. Through your obedience to the Father and the grace of the Holy Spirit, you have given us the source of our reconciliation and our justice, Jesus Christ, our peace and our joy.
Mother of Tenderness and Wisdom, show us Jesus, your Son and the Son of God. Guide our path of conversion, so that Jesus might shine his glory on us in every aspect of our personal, familial and social lives.
Mother, full of Mercy and Justice, through your docility to the Spirit, the Counselor, obtain for us the grace to be witnesses of the Risen Lord, so that we will increasingly become the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

"I love you all"
Dear Friends,
The Church as Christ’s Body
Therefore, I, too, hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and of your love for all the holy ones, do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of him.
May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might, which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens, far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come.
And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way. Ephesians 1:15–23
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words,
“It is a fact that I died on the cross in great suffering for your redemption and now I am in heaven sitting at the right hand of the Father as your leader and Savior. I founded My Church and I am the head of the Church. I appointed St. Peter as My first Vicar to be in charge of My Church on earth. All his successors have the same power that he had and all are to be respected by all the members of the Church for they represent Me.
The Church is My Mystical Body and each member of the Church is part of My Body. If I live in your heart then you are part of Me and all the graces that come from Me flow into you. I want My Body to grow all the time with new members entering every day. I want My Body to be strong by your deep faith and your great love. Be an active member of My Mystical Body, the Church, by going to church regularly and taking an active part in the celebration of My Sacrifice on the Cross. Come and receive Me with great respect and devotion and you will be blessed. I love you all, My brothers and sisters.”

"Come to prayer every day"
Dear Friends,
The Father's Plan of Salvation
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him. In love he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved. In him we have redemption by his blood, the forgiveness of transgressions, in accord with the riches of his grace that he lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight, he has made known to us the mystery of his will in accord with his favor that he set forth in him as a plan for the fullness of times, to sum up all things in Christ, in heaven and on earth. Ephesians 1:3-10
You will find below the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him these words,
"I bless you all, My brothers and sisters. As the Son of God I lived for eternity in heaven with My Father and with the Holy Spirit. When the angels were created they served us and were our messengers. I was with My Father when He created the world and everything in it. The earth was chosen as the place for human beings and the Father created Adam and Eve, the first man and the first woman. They were placed in Paradise to live in peace and love and the Father visited them. However, after their great transgression against the Father, they were expelled from Paradise to suffer and to die.
My Father offered them a Redeemer who would come to save the people from their sins. I am the Savior sent by the Father to suffer and die on the cross. I offered Myself in sacrifice to take away your sins and to open heaven for you. In this way I showed you the great love I have for each one of you. I expect you and every person on earth to accept Me as your Lord and Savior and to unite yourselves totally to Me. I am the only one who can offer you salvation.
Come, My dear brothers and sisters, and offer yourselves completely to Me and walk in My footsteps. I will help you to carry your cross every day. The Father and I are pouring the New Pentecost upon you so open your heart to accept this great gift of the Holy Spirit. Come to prayer every day and you will have the graces you need to avoid sin and to help all those in need."

"I love you and bless you"
Dear Friends,
Live in the Community of Christ
Even if a person is caught in some transgression, you who are spiritual should correct that one in a gentle spirit, looking to yourself, so that you also may not be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deluding himself. Each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast with regard to himself alone, and not with regard to someone else; for each one will bear his own load.
One who is being instructed in the word should share all good things with his instructor. Make no mistake: God is not mocked, for a person will reap only what he sows, because the one who sows for his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows for the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit.
Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up. So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith. Galatians 6, 1 -10
Now follows the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Joseph. She spoke to him in these words,
"I bless you, My son, and all My children throughout the world. Be aware that you will be tempted in all kinds of ways in the world today. Many are tempted by the flesh and live far away from My Son who calls you all to follow Him. So many people are caught in drugs and alcohol and are imprisoned by these things. Others live in sin because they follow their sexual desires. The evil one is also there to tempt you and if you are not strong in the faith, you will fall into serious sin.
My dear children, I call you to be active participants in the community of My Son Jesus. He established His Church as a community of believers who help each other and pray together often especially every Sunday. Pray often, My sons and daughters, to receive the graces to resist all these temptations and to remain in close union with My Son and with Me. "Remain always united to Me"
Dear Friends,
God's Free Children in Christ
I mean that as long as the heir is not of age, he is no different from a slave, although he is the owner of everything, but he is under the supervision of guardians and administrators until the date set by his father. In the same way we also, when we were not of age, were enslaved to the elemental powers of the world. But when the fullness of time had come,
God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption. As proof that we are children, God sent the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God. Galatians 4:1-7
Here is the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words,
"Before My coming into the world, all the people were in darkness and lived as slaves. They were under the power of the evil one because of the sin of your first parents and all lived in sin. In those days no one could reach salvation.
It was in the fullness of time that I came into the world. The Father had already announced the coming of the Savior after the grave sin of Adam and Eve. However, it was important to prepare the people for My coming. He selected Abraham and through him He built up a nation of His children. They came to believe in the Father and lived for most of the time as His people. I, your Savior, came to be born and to belong to that nation, the Jewish Nation. My Mother was a Jewish woman and My stepfather too. All the holy people of this nation were awaiting the coming of the Messiah for hundreds of years.
I came into the world to make you all the beloved children of the Father and My brothers and sisters filled with the Holy Spirit. I ransomed you from sin by My Passion and death on the cross and by My resurrection from the dead. Together with the Father I sent the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and all those gathered in the upper room. You are indeed the beloved children of God and heir to heaven. Remain always united to Me."

"I want you all with Me"

Faith and Liberty
Realize then that it is those who have faith who are children of Abraham. Scripture, which saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold the good news to Abraham, saying, "Through you shall all the nations be blessed."
Consequently, those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham who had faith. For all who depend on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not persevere in doing all the things written in the book of the law." And that no one is justified before God by the law is clear, for "the one who is righteous by faith will live." But the law does not depend on faith; rather, "the one who does these things will live by them." Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree," that the blessing of Abraham might be extended to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:7-14

"It is a fact that Abraham was justified because of his faith in God. He believed although he did not see. God the Father told him to leave his country and to travel to a foreign country and he believed and went where the Father led him. He had no children because his wife was barren but God promised him a child and Isaac was born. The Father told him that in time his children would be as many as the sand on the seashore and you know that at the time of the return of the Jewish people from exile in Egypt there were thousands of Jews all descendants of Abraham.
Faith is the most important gift that you can receive and you have to live by faith. Those who believe in Me, your Lord and Savior, and follow Me will receive the gift for which they were born. That gift is life everlasting in heaven with the Father, with Me, His Son, with the Holy Spirit, together with My Mother, all the angels and saints. You were all created for everlasting happiness. I want you all with Me so cooperate with My graces and you will one day enter heaven."

"I will lead you"

Faith and Works
We, who are Jews by nature and not sinners from among the Gentiles, yet who know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves are found to be sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin?
Of course not! But if I am building up again those things that I tore down, then I show myself to be a transgressor. For through the law I died to the law, that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me. I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing." Galatians 2:15-21

"My friends, I love you. What good is it for a person to do many good things if he or she does not believe in Me? If you have rejected Me, there will be no salvation for you. You remember that I could not do anything in My hometown of Nazareth because the people refused to believe in Me. Justification comes through faith in Me and not by following the law. It is a fact that a person who believes in Me and does good deeds to help others will receive great merit. All believers are to follow Me and they will be rewarded.
If one does not believe in Me, how can that person be freed from his or her sins? Such a person remains a sinner and those sins are not absolved. It is the person who has great faith and love in Me that will be pardoned and I will come and dwell in his or her heart. You all need to grow in faith and to get rid of all your doubts. It is through faith and love that you will grow in holiness and I will lead you to the summit of the mountain. I want you all close to Me obeying My words every day. I will lead you up the right path and you will have peace. I bless you all."

"Pray for the great gift of faith for these people"

Paul's Call by Christ
Now I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not of human origin. For I did not receive it from a human being, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ. For you heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it, and progressed in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my race, since I was even more a zealot for my ancestral traditions.
But when God, who from my mother's womb had set me apart and called me through his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, so that I might proclaim him to the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; rather, I went into Arabia and then returned to Damascus.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to confer with Kephas and remained with him for fifteen days. But I did not see any other of the apostles, only James the brother of the Lord. As to what I am writing to you, behold, before God, I am not lying. Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. And I was unknown personally to the churches of Judea that are in Christ; they only kept hearing that "the one who once was persecuting us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy." So they glorified God because of me. Galatians 1:11-24
I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the little shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island and in the evening I was at the prayer meeting at our church. There was a good group present. I will leave for Quebec City early tomorrow morning and I will not be back before September 28 in the evening. Please pray that this trip goes well.
Here is a message from Our Lord and Savior given to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words,
"St. Paul is a saint and in heaven today but he was not always a believer. He was born a Jew and lived strictly as a Jew. When he heard about the Church I founded, he tried with all his strength to destroy it. He was present at the stoning of St. Stephen and he traveled around arresting the Christians and throwing them in jail. However, one day on his way to Damascus, he received a great experience. I intervened in his life by showing him that indeed I am the Messiah. He was converted and began to work hard for the conversion of the Gentiles, the non-Jews.
If St. Paul a great persecutor of the Church was converted, then many other non-believers can be converted too. There are thousands of conversions every day throughout the world. Pray, My friends, for this intention every day. I want that all the people of the world may come to believe in Me and follow Me and one day they will be with Me in heaven. Answer all the questions of the people who come to you or send them to someone who can help them. Pray for the great gift of faith for all these people."

Loyalty to the Gospel
I am amazed that you are so quickly forsaking the one who called you by the grace of Christ for a different gospel (not that there is another). But there are some who are disturbing you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed! As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received, let that one be accursed! Am I now currying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people?
If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ. Now I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not of human origin. For I did not receive it from a human being, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:6-12
It was sunny most of the day yesterday but it was windy and cold for this time of the year. We had no rain during the night but today it will be cloudy and colder.
I was at the Eucharistic Adoration at the Immaculate Conception Parish Church last evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. I was in prayer with Jesus and He confirmed what He told me a few weeks ago about the miracle that will take place in the future. Today I will celebrate Holy Mass at the little shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. and in the evening I hope to be at the prayer meeting at our church. Early Friday morning I will leave for Quebec with my driver Ceo.
Below you will find the message given by Our Lord and Savior to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him these words:
"St. Paul was really amazed that some of the Galatians should forsake the Gospel he taught them for any teaching which goes against the Gospel. There are always false teachers spreading a teaching that is contrary to what I brought you when I was on earth. Instead of the Gospel they teach the laws of the Jews or the false laws that originated in society. There are some today who go around preaching that it is not a sin to kill the unborn and they call people to enter New Age, a very false religion, which does not come from Me.
There is only one Gospel which I left My Church and through the graces I won, My Church will be faithful to this Gospel until the end. There is only one, the successor of St. Peter, who has infallible authority to teach the truth and only the truth. Listen to him and be a member of the church he governs. It is the truth that there is a baby in the womb of his mother from the day of conception. All are to respect that life created by God the Father, Himself.
New Age teaches that each person is god, when the truth is that there is only one God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who is the Creator, the Savior and the Sanctifier of the peoples of the world. You are to worship God alone and no one else."

Today Our Lady asks that our lives be an example of good for others:
Dear children, I invite you to pray with the heart so that your prayer may be a true conversation with God.
I ask that each one of you dedicate more time to God, for Satan is strong and wants to deceive you in many ways. Therefore, dear children, pray every day that your lives be a source of goodness not only for your own benefit, but also for all those you meet I am with you and I am protecting you even though Satan wants to destroy my plans and all that the heavenly Father wishes to accomplish here (Monthly Message September 25, 1990.)
And at the Last Supper, Jesus sets an example for his apostles:
After he had washed their feet, had put on his robe, and had returned to the table, he said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call me teacher and Lord and you are right, for that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. Often during Mass, I see the Lord in my soul; I feel His presence which pervades my being. I sense His divine gaze; I have long talks with Him without saying a word; I know what His divine Heart desires, and I always do what will please Him the most. I love Him to distraction, and I feel that I am being loved by God.
At those times when I meet with God deep within myself, I feel so happy that I do not know how to express it. Such moments are short, for the soul could not bear it for long, as separation from the body would be inevitable. Though these moments are very short, their power, however, which is transmitted to the soul, remains with it for a very long time.
Without the least effort, I experience the profound recollection which then envelops me-and it does not diminish even if I talk with people, nor does it interfere with the performance of my duties. When I was attending Mass in a certain church with another sister, I felt the greatness and majesty of God; I felt the church was permeated by God. His majesty enveloped me and, though it terrified me, it filled me with peace and joy. I knew that nothing could oppose His will. Oh, if only all souls knew who is living in our churches, there would not be so many outrages and so much disrespect in these holy places! (409)

Oct 9 - MANY HAVE BEGUN BUT THEY FORGET
Decrying the lack of perseverance of some, the Madonna once said :
Many have begun to pray for healing here at Medjugorje, but when they return to their homes, they abandon prayer, forget, and also lose many graces (Special Messages September 12, 1986).
Paul also exhorts us to persevere :
Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the holy ones (Eph 6:18)
Reflection:
The virtue of perseverance is exemplified in the life of a man who went blind at the age of three, in the year 1812. When he was old enough, he was sent to a school for the blind in Paris, which was near to his village. There Louis was taught to read by touching large raised letters of the alphabet with his fingers.
He was so successful that he soon found himself teaching others to read by the same method.
But it was not easy. Some people just could not do it, so he determined to invent another method by which blind people could read. He worked and persevered for many a long hour to try to perfect a special alphabet for the blind. When Louis Braille was 20 years old he succeeded.
Application:
"Great works are performed not by strength" wrote Samuel Johnson, "but by perseverance." It is a great Christian virtue, as both Christ and Our Lady attest in our readings.
Today, and especially when you feel drained or weakened, pray for perseverance.

Jesus likes to intervene in the smallest details of our life, and He often fulfills secret wishes of mine that I sometimes hide from Him, although I know that from Him nothing can be hidden. There is a custom among us of drawing by lot, on New Year's Day, special Patrons for ourselves for the whole year. In the morning during meditation, there arose within me a secret desire that the Eucharistic Jesus be my special Patron for this year also, as in the past.
But, hiding this desire from my Beloved, I spoke to Him about everything else but that. When we came to refectory for breakfast, we blessed ourselves and began drawing our patrons. When I approached the holy cards on which the names of the patrons were written, without hesitation I took one, but I didn't read the name immediately as I wanted to mortify myself for a few minutes.
Suddenly, I heard a voice in my soul: I am your patron. Read. I looked at once at the inscription and read, "Patron for the year 1935-the Most Blessed Eucharist." My heart leapt with joy, and I slipped quietly away from the sisters and went for a short visit before the Blessed Sacrament, where I poured out my heart. But Jesus sweetly admonished me that I should be at that moment together with the sisters. I went immediately in obedience to the rule. (360)

OCT 8 - DISCOVER HIS WILL FOR YOU
Today the Virgin speaks of conversion and the will of God :
Dear children, today I want to thank you for all your sacrifices and prayers. I give you my special motherly blessing.
I call each of you to decide for God. From day to day , discover His will for you in prayer. I wish, dear children, to call all of you to full conversion so that there may be joy in your hearts (Monthly Message June 25, 1990).
And in John's gospel, Jesus also speaks of doing the will of God :
Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and anyone who comes to me I will never drive away; for I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me (Jn 6 :37-38).
Reflection:
The hardest thing I have to do now, each day, is to decide what is God's will rather than what is my will.
So the prayer I say most often is, first of all,"
God, please tell me what you want." And second, "
Give me the strength to do your will."
Application:
In our gospel reading today, Christ said, "I have come down from heaven not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me." And the Blessed Mother has urged us to "discover God's will for you in prayer." To this end, offer the following prayer today by St. Jane Frances de Chantal :
Lord, what is your will that I do? I am completely open to your plan for me. I desire to live only in you and to be guided by you forever. Grant that your holy will be carried out perfectly in me.

I asked Jesus that He deign to light the fire of His love in all souls that were cold. Of the rosary, Our Lady said :

I invite you, dear children, to pray the rosary in such a way that it will be a commitment for you, achieved in joy. In this way, you will understand the reason why I have been with you for such a long time. I want to teach you to pray (Weekly Message June 12, 1986).
In Luke's gospel, the risen Christ joins his disciples on the road to Emmaus :
Then he said to them, "Oh, how foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have declared! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and then enter into his glory?" Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures.
As they came near the village to which they were going, he walked ahead as if he were going on. But they urged him strongly, saying, "Stay with us, because it is almost evening and the day is now nearly over." So he went to stay with them. When he was at the table with them he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight. They said to each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?" That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together (Lk 24 :25-33).
Reflection:
In this story we find that the risen Christ "interpreted for them every passage of scripture which referred to him," so that his disciples would understand the meaning of his life, death, and resurrection.
In meditating on the mysteries of the rosary, Jesus also helps us to interpret and understand the meaning of his life and death. And today Our Lady as well says to, "let the faithful meditate each day on the life of Jesus while praying the rosary." It is not necessary to concentrate on the repetitive prayers of the rosary (which serve as a type of mantra), but to let the quiet rhythm of the prayers keep us centered on the particular mystery on which we are meditating.
The more we reflect on the lives of Jesus and Mary through the mysteries, the more we become like them in mind and heart. By means of the rosary, the Spirit of God gradually transfigures our hearts and minds to resemble those of Christ and his Mother.
Application:
Pray the scriptural rosary if you have a book with the verses, or if not, pray the traditional rosary truly from the heart, "meditating on the life of Jesus," as Mary asks of us.

Our Lady's monthly message for February, 1992 :
Dear children, today I invite you to draw still closer to God through prayer. Only that way will I be able to help you and to protect you from every attack of Satan.
I am with you and I intercede for you with God, that he protect you. But I need your prayers and your "Yes."
Your get lost easily in material and human things and forget that God is your greatest friend. Therefore, my dear little children, draw little children, draw close to God so that the can protect you and guard you from every evil (Monthly Message February 25, 1992).
And in Matthew's gospel, Jesus instructs his disciples in prayer :
But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you (Mt. 6 :6).
Reflection:
It is a striking statement that Our Lady makes today that only through prayer can she help us. It is a reiteration of previous messages in which she has pleaded for our prayer, for it seems to be imperative to her. So much is at stake :personal peace, Our Lady's help in our lives, protection form the Evil One, the healing of mind or body; and more generally, the realization of Mary's plans in Medjugorje : the mitigation of the secrets, peace among nations, and the salvation of souls.
The Madonna has said that she is powerless without our prayer! Just think of it :
we have it within our power to bring peace not only to our own hearts, but the nations of the world. It is as if Our Lady magnifies our prayer a million-fold through her intercession, and so works miracles. But she must have our prayer; our free will in this regard either binds or frees her hands, either opens or closes the tabernacles of grace.
Application:
It has been said that, "More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of." Today, pray to understand more fully the power of your prayer and Our Lady's dependence upon it.

In an early message in 1981, Our Lady said :
God has chosen St. Francis as his elected one. It would be good to imitate his life. In the meantime, we must realize what God ordains us to do (First Years Oct 7, 1981).
The Life of Francis was itself a hymn of praise to God; as the psalmist sings :
Kings of the earth and all peoples,
Princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and women alike,

Let them praise the name of the Lord,

Reflection:
The Franciscans of Medjugorje are deeply devoted to their founder and patron, St. Francis of Assisi. His simplicity, poverty, and holiness are the ideals that have guided them for centuries. The Vibrant faith of the Catholics of Yugoslavia has been nourished and protected by the Franciscans, even in times of great persecution under the Ottoman Turks and, more recently, under a Communist regime. Many gave their lives in service to God and his people.
Let us listen to Francis' own words which give us a glimpse of his personality.

Hi there dear prayer group family,
The second of the month Our Lady gives Mirjana a message regarding unbelievers and today is the day especially that we pray for them.
One thing I need to let you know is that the messages for the entire world are given on the 25th of each month through the visionary Marija as per Our Lady's instructions. Mirjana's 2nd of the month messages on the other hand are not generally shared outside of the village and mainly for those who are there. Mirjana's messages are for the purpose of praying for unbelievers, and should be taken in the context that it is meant for those who are far from God, those who are unbelievers.
Since Our Lady said the 25th of the month message is for the entire world, the parish of St. James does not officially post these 2nd of the month messages to the whole world. These messages are good for us to know so we can pray for those who are far from God.

Yes means " I surrender," totally, fully, without any counting the cost, without any examination, " Is it all right? Is it convenient?"

One morning after Holy Communion, I heard this voice, I desire that you accompany Me when I go to the sick. It is always the sister-directresses who go. I thought to myself: Jesus will find a way. Shortly afterwards, Mother Raphael sent for me and said, "Sister, you will accompany the Lord Jesus when the priest goes to visit the sick." And all through the time of my probation I carried the light, accompanying the Lord and, as a knight of Jesus, I always tried to gird myself with an iron belt, for it would not be proper to accompany the King in everyday dress. And I offered this mortification for the sick. (183)
*At that time the Congregation was divided into two choirs, the so-called director sisters and coadjutor sisters. The membership to one or the other was decided by the Congregation's governing body on the basis of the candidate's intellectual level, age, and abilities. The director sisters' task was to manage the Congregation and the penitents' home. The coadjutor sisters did the manual work and served as helpers to the director sisters, especially in the area of physical labor.

OCT 3 - GROW IN LOVE
The Queen of Peace speaks of love today :
Dear children, I desire that you grow in love. Just as a flower cannot grow without water, so you cannot grow without God's grace. Everyday, then, you should ask God for his blessing so that you can grow normally and that your actions will be in union with his will (Weekly Message April 10, 1986).
In Luke's gospel, Christ extends his love to a leper:
Once, when he was in one of the cities, there was a man covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground and begged him, "Lord, if you choose, you can make me clean." Then Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, "I do choose. Be made clean." Immediately the leprosy left him (Lk 5:12-13).
Reflection:
Because it was often highly contagious and there was no known cure, leprosy was feared disease. (Sometimes called Hansen's disease, leprosy still exists today in a less contagious, treatable form.) To prevent the spread of infection, the priests monitored the disease, banishing, from the community those persons whose leprosy was active and readmitting lepers whose disease was in remission. Lepers were considered untouchable since people feared contracting their disease. Yet Jesus reached out and touched this leper out of love, and the man was healed .
We may consider certain people untouchable or repulsive, yet Christ and his Mother call us to reach out and touch them with God's love so that we may both be healed.
Application:
Look about today for those who are in special need of your care and concern, even "the least of God's children." Keep before Christ a prayer intention for the most rejected and despised of his people.

"The Blood of Christ is his Sacrifice applied to us; it enters the souls of
the redeemed; it is the inextinguishable source of all heroism. Even in the

OCT 2 - THE GUARDIAN ANGELS
With reference to angels, the Blessed Mother once said to Jelena :
Today I rejoice with all my angels ! The first part of my plan has been realized (Locutionist Jelena & Mirjana March 21, 1984).
The Book of Exodus refers to angels as guardians :
I am going to send an angel in front of you, to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. Be attentive to him and listen to his voice (Ex 23 :20-21).
Reflection:
The Queen of Peace refers to angels a great deal in Medjugorje, and is even more often seen with them by the visionaries. They are always with her on Christmas, Easter, and other feast days.
That we each have a guardian angel has been a belief of the church for centuries, going back as far as the Old Testament, as our readings today indicated. St. Bernard, the great scholar and Doctor of the Church,
said the following of them : "The angels are here; they are at your side, they are with you, present on your behalf. They are here to protect you and to serve you."
Application:
Today, let us honor our guardian angels on their feast with the following prayer :
O most faithful companion,
Appointed by God to be my guardian,
And who never leaves my side,
How shall I thank you for your faithfulness and love
And for the benefits which you have obtained for me!

Meditations by Padre Pio - 1 Walk with simplicity in the ways of the Lord and do not torment your spirit. Your must hate your faults, but with a quiet hate, not troublesome and restless. We must be patient with them and gain from them through holy humility. Without that patience, instead of diminishing, your imperfections will increase constantly, as there is nothing that nourishes our defects like restlessness, and the haste to drive them away.

Why do we try so hard to forget?
" Memory is the source of unhappiness to many people today; hence their attempts to stifle it with alcohol and drugs. What is the explanation for the vast amount of sleeping tablets sold to the American public? It has been pointed out that enough are sold to put every person in the United States to sleep twenty-two nights a year, or to put nine million to sleep three hundred and sixty-five nights a year. Undoubtedly, some of this is medically necessary for the easing of pain, but more likely most of the pills are taken in an effort to `forget' or `get away from it all.'
The memory has the peculiar trick of never asking our permission for anything it shoots up into consciousness; sometimes the more displeasing the ideas are, and the harder we try to forget them, the quicker and the more often they flash before our eyes. It is a psychological fact that the more the mind fears a thing, the more that fearful thing comes like a ghost out of the past to torture it.
What we hate and dread we remember best, and nothing that we present to our mind can blot it out. No wonder Macbeth in desperation asked his physician: `Canst thou not...pluck from the memory a rooted sorrow; raze out the written troubles of the brain...which weigh upon the heart?' (Macbeth, Act V, Scene iii, Line 40)."

Oct 1 - THE MONTH OF MARY
The Blessed Mother speaks of grace today:
Dear children, pray during this month. God has allowed me to help you everyday with graces, in order to protect you from evil. This month is mine. I would like to give it to you. Pray and God will give you the graces that you ask for. I will support your requests. (WM 10-25-84).
St. Paul also speaks of grace:
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died through the one man's trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many (Romans 5:15).
Reflection:
The month of October is traditionally dedicated to the Mother of God, and parishes often honor her with votive Masses, community rosaries, and other special devotions. We are thankful that the effect or merit of these prayers are her special gift to us, for she says, "this is my month -- I want to give it to you."
In today's message she speaks several times of "grace," meaning "favor," the love or the magnanimity of God. Mary herself is often the mediator of this grace: "God allows me every day to help you with graces..." These cannot be earned, but are pure gifts: "But if the choice is by grace, it is not because of their works -- otherwise grace would not be grace" (Romans 11:6).
Although a gift, God always chooses to give his grace to all who ask. Our Lady says, "You just pray and God will give you the graces you are seeking." Other than this, the most important thing is to respond to the graces given: "As your fellow workers," St. Paul writes, "we beg you not to receive the grace of God in vain" (2 Cor 6:1).
Indeed, grace and works of charity are the heavenly treasure we are asked to store up instead of earthly wealth; in this task, we have the Blessed Virgin's words: "I will help along with it."
Application:
Let us pray that this Marian month of October will be a time of special grace for us as we honor the Queen of Peace, the bearer of God's grace.

"Sacrament of my God, my Jesus, my life and my love, how I love to be with
Thee. Ah, how necessary art Thou to my heart! How sweet and tender are the

OCT 6 - PRAY AND RENEW YOURSELVES
Today the Blessed Mother speaks of prayer, love, and the rosary:
The rosary is not an ornament for the home, as some often times limit themselves to using it. Tell everyone to pray it (First Years March 18, 1985).
All your prayers touch me very much, especially your daily rosary (Special Message March 18, 1987).
Dear children, I thank you because by your coming here you have helped to fulfill the plan of God. During this time, pray and renew yourselves. Tonight when you go home, pray the Joyful Mysteries in front of the cross (Visionary Prayer Group March 3, 1989).
And in Ephesians, Paul prays for his people :
I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him (Eph 1:15-17).
Reflection:
It has been said that prayer is the most exalted action of which man is capable. In Medjugorje, the Madonna speaks especially of the prayer of the rosary: "Pray, and let the rosary always be in your hands as a sign to Satan that you belong to me." Of the rosary, Fr. Slavko Barbaric once said in a sermon :
Why these one hundred and fifty Hail Mary's? It is simple, really. In the rosary, Our Lady calls us to a form of prayer which is very suitable the present time repetitive, meditative, and biblical.
When you start praying the rosary with your heart, you start learning from Our Lady how you should behave in this life : for example, accepting the Lord's will, as Mary did herself at the Annunciation; or thinking of others, as she did when she visited Elizabeth. The rosary is a means of living with Jesus and his Mother, teaching us about the Christian life.
Application:
Today, pray the rosary which the Mother of God so ardently recommends.
SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH
"Glorious St. Joseph, tender-hearted father, faithful
guardian of Jesus, chaste spouse of the Mother of
God, I ask you to join me in praising God the Father
through His Divine Son who died on the cross and
rose again to give us sinners new life. Through the
Holy Name of Jesus, pray with me that we may obtain
from the eternal Father the favor we ask. (here
state your intention)."
Say this prayer for nine consecutive days.
Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails). Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!
