Holy Mary, Mother of God, Protectress of Africa, you have given to the world the true Light, Jesus Christ. Through your obedience to the Father and the grace of the Holy Spirit, you have given us the source of our reconciliation and our justice, Jesus Christ, our peace and our joy.

While Herod was still alive, He grew up in Hieropolis, outside of Old Cairo, Akebulan (Africa), until He was about age six or seven.

"Herod" was the name of several rulers, and included Herod Achaeleus.

Matthew, Jude Thaddeus Lebbeus, John Mark (who died in Alexandria (Kemet/Egypt), Nathaniel Bartholomew, the Ethiopian Eunuch, and other apostles and disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) evangelized Africa.

But some evidence exists that St. Peter stopped and preached awhile in Africa (setting up the church in Babylon, Kemet (Egypt), mentoring his protégé, the African, St. Mark (Gospel of Mark). Mark became the first (arch) bishop of Alexandria, Kemet (Egypt). He also served as secretary to Paul, thus straddling two links in the early Church. More about this as facts are discovered in Vol. II.)

I am Mattai (Matthew Levi, also called the Evangelist). Alpheus and Mary were my parents. I spread the good news in Kemet, Ethiopia, Axum, (Abyssinia) for 23 years, (See Ruffin, The 12 Apostles, p.140). In battling two magicians, Zaroes and Arfaxat, through the power of Jesus Christ, I raised the son of King Aeglippus from dead. The magicians were forced to flee to what is now Iran.

I visited my Jewish brethren in Kemet and I am connected with the tradition/history of Abadias.

I preached to the Hebrews and wrote a Gospel for them in Aramaic before I continued my missionary work. In Africa, I was called apostle to the Ethiopians (Greek for “burnt faces”).

I was stoned and crucified downwards in Hierapolis, then beheaded. I am not black, as the term is understood, but I ministered in Africa, and so affiliated.

I am Simon Zelotes. From the bishop of Tyre and theologian, Dorotheus, traditions holds that I preached in Mauritania, Kemet, Libya, before going to Britain.

The Coptic Church chronicles my travels in Kemet, and other parts of Akebulan (Africa), including what is now Tunisia, Mauretania Caesariensis (partly Morocco and Algeria). The Apostles, p. 146, puts Simon Zelotes in Mauritania, Kemet, and Libya.

I am Jude Thaddeus (LEBBEUS)

Traditionally my evangelizing in Africa answered a letter received from the King of Axum, Abgar, the Black, by my cousin, Yeshua. But Jesus was on the way to the crucifixion. (Some say the actions took place in between Tigris and Euphrates). I also evangelized in India and what is now Burma.

I am Phillip. I evangelized in Ethiopia and other parts of Africa. Traditionally, I am shown preaching in Carthage (now found in present-day Tunisia, Libya).

An Ethiopian Orthodox Church tradition shows its apostolic succession is from me. I consecrated as a bishop, the Ethiopian Eunuch Finance minister of the Kandake (the warrior Queen Candace).

I am Nathaniel bar Tomai (Bartholomew). I evangelized in Central India, as well an area you would now consider black, and I preached in Kemet, according to Eusebius.

I am Thomas Didymus (The Twin). I founded the Church in what is now Beijing, China. I preached in India. The explorer, Marco Polo, prayed at my tomb in Malabar Province. Many of the priests and bishops designated Mar find their apostolic succession from me.

I am JoHn Mark (Mark). I am called the evangelist. Martyred in or near Alexandria, Kemet (or dying there) see the New American Bible preface on section of John Mark.

Spinning flax, I prayed from early morning, until hour nine. I spun flax, meditating on the lives, teachings, and examples of the apostles, martyrs, patriarchs, and prophets.

Melania the Elder used to visit me, but I did not see her. We only spoke. I died in my sleep. 15 Sept.

Ammon, the Great, Hermit, I am a monk of the desert. Robbers periodically stole my meager rations of bread. After a while, I tired of it, and ordered two huge serpents to guard my food and cell. When the robbers saw this, they became paralyzed. I cured them, explaining the goodness of God. They repented, and became even more virtuous, presenting in the glory of God signs and wonders.

Another large serpent continually molested and killed nearby villagers. They bade my assistance. In God’s mercy, I prayed before the serpents abode, it rushed me, and burst.

Ammon, (according to Athanasius) became a Christian and a monk. Then a bishop several years more’ after March 15, 351 A.D. six years after Pachomius died. Among the holy flk.

I always begin my prayer in silence, for it is in the silence of the heart that God speaks. God is the friend of silence - we need to listen to God because it's not what we say but what He says to us and through us that matters. Prayer feeds the soul - as blood is to the body, prayer is the soul - and it brings you closer to God. It also gives you a clean and pure heart. A clean heart can see God, can speak to God, and can see the love of God in others.

May 25 - A SPRINGTIME MESSAGE

The Madonna speaks today of nature, of love, and of surrender to God:

Dear children, I am calling you to open to God. You see, little children, how nature is opening herself and is giving life and fruit. In the same way, I am calling you to a life with God and complete surrender to him.

Little children, I am with you, and unceasingly I desire to lead you to the joy of life. I desire that each of you discover the joy and the love which is found only in God, and which only God can give.

God wants nothing else from you but your surrender. Therefore, little children, decide seriously for God because everything passes away. God alone does not.

Pray that you May discover the greatness and the joy of life which God is giving you. (Monthly Message May 25, 1989).

The author of Psalm 104 also speaks of the fruits of nature and the joy of life, so loving bestowed by the Father:

You make springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow between the hills, Giving drink to every wild animal;

The wild asses quench their thirst.

O Lord, how manifold are your works!
In wisdom you have made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures.

When you send forth your spirit, they are created;

Reflection:

In this springtime message of Our Lady, she outlines a three-stage journey that she hopes we will make. We begin with "an openness to God," as she says, and so are able to receive the grace and strength we need to actually begin living as followers of Christ.

Second, having experienced the power of the Lord in our lives, we are drawn to surrender ourselves more and more to him. And third, in this new relationship of trusting surrender, we gradually discover through prayer "the greatness and the joy of life which God is giving [us]."

How appropriate that the Blessed Virgin chose the springtime to speak of new life in Christ: "You see, little children, how nature is opening herself and is giving life and fruit. In the same way I am calling you to open to God, that I May lead you into the joy of life." May the song of nature inspire us to a greater openness to God, that we too May sing for joy.

Try to spend some quiet time outdoors today to experience the beauty of God in nature-part of the "joy of life" of which the Virgin speaks

The priest’s Homily for today. Today when the priest spoke to us about how God made us so that our hearts will be discontent until they rest in Him, and then followed up with saying; We must first be cleansed of sin before we can meet God face to face, I was reminded of those words Jesus said: Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God.

Then I felt that when we are purified and welcomed into heaven, perhaps when we gaze upon the face of God, we will see tiny reflections of ourselves. And maybe we will all see God a tiny bit differently God did make us in His own likeness because He loved us so!

"My very dear children, I am your God and your Creator, your Father. You are the love of My life in union with My Jesus, and Our Holy Spirit, and of course the Holy Mother, whose special month you are all celebrating so beautifully, in such a heartfelt way; and all of Us thank you so much for that.

Heaven and Earth are united in this cause, in this celebration, in this joyous gratitude for the Immaculate One of God, your precious Mother. These special gifts that unite you more completely to your Triune God and to Her, your Mother and to everyone in Heaven, the angels and the saints, are gifts for which you must thank your God every day being aware of the true specialness of the gift.

You have no idea, My children, how much She does for you, how much She means for you and to you, how much She loves you. This love of Hers is purifying you, My people everywhere.

This love of Hers is keeping you faithful to all I have asked you to do and to be and to become. It is a time of celebration, because you are faithful. It is a time of celebration, because you are chosen, because you are Her children and Mine. It is a time for celebration because you are.

My dearest ones, spend every spare moment praying in union with Her at this time.

Everywhere, people who are receiving important messages for the world are receiving words of warning, of dire events in the near future. These as you have noticed come in cycles. The cycle has begun again for which you are preparing and which I am allowing.

You know that I choose to do nothing without you, without your support, your help as it were, your total self, your energy, your time. Always, I will mention that; because I ask for all of who you are. Do not tire of hearing these words, My children; because they are easily forgotten in the rush of everyday, in the distraction that is so easy.

Thank you for loving Me. Thank you for offering your day every morning as you do, your precious special morning offering. This is another gift that you cannot appreciate enough at this point, and someday will look back upon from Heaven and see all that you do for the whole world and yourself and Myself. My children, we will continue to celebrate in this great month of the Holy Mother. We will continue to give thanks for Her, who is My blessed daughter and your holy and precious Mother.

A priest who saw heaven, hell, and purgatory

The death experience of Father Jose Maniyangat

Fr. Jose Maniyangat is currently the pastor of St. Mary’s Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Macclenny, Florida. Here is his personal testimony:

I was born on July 16, 1949 in Kerala, India to my parents, Joseph and Theresa Maniyangat. I am the eldest of seven children: Jose, Mary, Theresa, Lissama, Zachariah, Valsa and Tom.

At the age of fourteen, I entered St. Mary’s Minor Seminary in Thiruvalla to begin my studies for the priesthood. Four years later, I went to St. Joseph’s Pontifical Major Seminary in Alwaye, Kerala to continue my priestly formation. After completing the seven years of philosophy and theology, I was ordained a priest on January 1, 1975 to serve as a missionary in the Diocese of Thiruvalla.

On Sunday April 14, 1985, the Feast of the Divine Mercy, I was going to celebrate Mass at a mission church in the north part of Kerala, and I had a fatal accident. I was riding a motorcycle when I was hit head-on by a jeep driven by a man who was intoxicated after a Hindu festival. I was rushed to a hospital about 35 miles away.

On the way, my soul came out from my body and I experienced death. Immediately, I met my Guardian Angel. I saw my body and the people who were carrying me to the hospital. I heard them crying and praying for me. At this time my angel told me: “I am going to take you to Heaven, the Lord wants to meet you and talk with you. He also said that, on the way, he wanted to show me hell and purgatory.

Hell
First, the angel escorted me to hell. It was an awful sight! I saw Satan and the devils, an unquenchable fire of about 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, worms crawling, people screaming and fighting, others being tortured by demons. The angel told me that all these sufferings were due to unrepented mortal sins. Then, I understood that there are seven degrees of suffering or levels according to the number and kinds of mortal sins committed in their earthly lives.

The souls looked very ugly, cruel and horrific. It was a fearful experience. I saw people whom I knew, but I am not allowed to reveal their identities. The sins that convicted them were mainly abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, hatefulness, unforgiveness and sacrilege.

The angel told me that if they had repented, they would have avoided hell and gone instead to purgatory. I also understood that some people who repent from these sins might be purified on earth through their sufferings. This way they can avoid purgatory and go straight to heaven.

I was surprised when I saw in hell even priests and Bishops, some of whom I never expected to see. Many of them were there because they had misled the people with false teaching and bad example.

Purgatory

After the visit to hell, my Guardian Angel escorted me to purgatory. Here too, there are seven degrees of suffering and unquenchable fire. But it is far less intense than hell and there was neither quarreling nor fighting. The main suffering of these souls is their separation from God.

Some of those who are in purgatory committed numerous mortal sins, but they were reconciled with God before their death. Even though these souls are suffering, they enjoy peace and the knowledge that one day they will see God face to face.

I had a chance to communicate with the souls in purgatory. They asked me to pray for them and to tell the people to pray for them as well, so they can go to heaven quickly. When we pray for these souls, we will receive their gratitude through their prayers, and once they enter heaven, their prayers become even more meritorious.

It is difficult for me to describe how beautiful my Guardian Angel is. He is radiant and bright. He is my constant companion and helps me in all my ministries, especially my healing ministry. I experience his presence everywhere I go and I am grateful for his protection in my daily life.

Heaven

Next, my angel escorted me to heaven passing through a big dazzling white tunnel. I never experienced this much peace and joy in my life. Then immediately heaven opened up and I heard the most delightful music, which I never heard before. The angels were singing and praising God. I saw all the saints, especially the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, and many dedicated holy Bishops and priests who were shining like stars.

And when I appeared before the Lord, Jesus told me: I want you to go back to the world. In your second life, you will be an instrument of peace and healing to My people. You will walk in a foreign land and you will speak in a foreign tongue. Everything is possible for you with My grace. After these words, the Blessed Mother told me: Do whatever He tells you. I will help you in your ministries.

Words can not express the beauty of heaven. There we find so much peace and happiness, which exceed a million times our imagination. Our Lord is far more beautiful than any image can convey. His face is radiant and luminous and more beautiful than a thousand rising suns. The pictures we see in the world are only a shadow of His magnificence.

The Blessed Mother was next to Jesus; She was so beautiful and radiant. None of the images we see in this world can compare with Her real beauty. Heaven is our real home; we are all created to reach heaven and enjoy God forever. Then, I came back to the world with my angel.

While my body was at the hospital, the doctor completed all examinations and I was pronounced dead. The cause of death was bleeding. My family was notified, and since they were far away, the hospital staff decided to move my dead body to the morgue. Because the hospital did not have air conditioners, they were concerned that the body would decompose quickly. As they were moving my dead body to the morgue, my soul came back to the body.

I felt an excruciating pain because of so many wounds and broken bones. I began to scream, and then the people became frightened and ran away screaming. One of them approached the doctor and said: The dead body is screaming. The doctor came to examine the body and found that I was alive. So he said: Father is alive, it is a miracle! Take him back to the hospital.

Now, back at the hospital, they gave me blood transfusions and I was taken to surgery to repair the broken bones. They worked on my lower jaw, ribs, pelvic bone, wrists, and right leg. After two months, I was released from the hospital, but my orthopedic doctor said that I would never walk again.

I then said to him: The Lord who gave me my life back and sent me back to the world will heal me. Once at home, we were all praying for a miracle. Still after a month, and with the casts removed, I was not able to move. But one day while praying I felt an extraordinary pain in my pelvic area.

After a short while the pain disappeared completely and I heard a voice saying: You are healed. Get up and walk. I felt the peace and healing power on my body. I immediately got up and walked. I praised and thanked God for the miracle.

I reached my doctor with the news of my healing, and he was amazed. He said: Your God is the true God. I must follow your God. The doctor was Hindu, and he asked me to teach him about our Church. After studying the Faith, I baptized him and he became Catholic.

Following the message from my Guardian Angel, I came to the United States on November 10, 1986 as a missionary priest... Since June 1999, I have been pastor of St. Mary’s Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Macclenny, Florida.

Jesus Speaks To Us About Our Eternity!

On Saturday I made the sacrament of Penance. On Sunday, we attended the 8:00 A.M. Mass at our parish, Our Lady Of Sorrows where I made an Act of Contrition and prayed for all with special needs and intentions.

After making small offerings to Jesus and Mary, I prepared for the sacrament of Holy Communion. With the Body and Blood of Jesus within my heart, I knelt in silent commune with Him. I prayed, asking Jesus to remove all distraction, that my heart might only hear words that might come from His heart to mine, and that my mind's eye might only see that, which He intends for me to see.

Then I prayed, Speak Lord (always and only, if it be His will), Your servant listens.

Jesus responded to my heart saying: My child Eileen, do you know what day this is? This is the day that the Lord hath made, rejoice and be glad in it. Let your heart be open and free for the world has no constraints on you.

Let your heart rest in My heart and focus on Me. If you do as I ask, when death comes, your transition into eternal life will be smooth and without fear. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.

A writer/producer of more than 30 audio visual film projects on the Black Genesis of Christianity, with an emphasis on the early African Liturgical Churches, Attorney James Wesly Smith ‘s 30 year effort resulted in the reference tome, Black Saints, Mystics, Holy Folk, (Ancient African Liturgical Church) Volume I, and II, detailing Black involvement in the Church from before 1 A.D.
