Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary Protectress of Africa

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Protectress of Africa, you have given to the world the true Light, Jesus Christ. Through your obedience to the Father and the grace of the Holy Spirit, you have given us the source of our reconciliation and our justice, Jesus Christ, our peace and our joy.

Mother of Tenderness and Wisdom, show us Jesus, your Son and the Son of God. Guide our path of conversion, so that Jesus might shine his glory on us in every aspect of our personal, familial and social lives.

In response to Cape Prayer Mass message, 5-11-09

I think most of the things I receive are to bring me back into His Divine Will. This week end at Sunday mass I received a very strong message that we will be judged by our fruit. In this message it was revealed to me that our fruit is, (in addition to many other things that we generally think of as being the fruit of a close relationship with our Almighty God), measured by the souls we turn back to God by ministering His Word to people. That our deeds without using His Word to turn souls back to Him are little to nothing.

It drove home the point I once learnt that: "We will be judged not only on the merits of what we have done but on the obedience of doing what we were called to do by our Father in heaven." The ones who are given great gifts to do the Divine Will of The Father and do not use them for this purpose refuses at the peril of their souls.

Dear Friends,

The Prayer of Jesus (continued)

Jesus said, I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one. I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me. Father, they are your gift to me. I wish that where I am they also may be with me, that they may see my glory that you gave me, because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, the world also does not know you, but I know you, and they know that you sent me. I made know to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them. John 17:20–26

Here is a message from Our Lord and Savior addressed to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words, The day before My death on the cross, I prayed for the Apostles and all those who believed in Me. I also prayed for all those who would come to believe in Me during the centuries up till today and beyond. I prayed especially for unity among all My followers that they be one as the Father and I are one. I want them all to come to know the Father and to love Him as He is their Creator and Lord.

Today’s world is in shambles and those who believe in Me are divided into many groups. Some believe this and others believe something else. The division among the Christians brings great pain to My heart. I call all to study what I have done with My Church from the beginning. I gave power and authority to My Church to teach the truth and to give you the Scriptures. It was My Church under the successor of St. Peter that decided what books would be in the New Testament.

If My Church had the authority to decide on the inspired Scripture, then she has the power to interpret these books for your good. Follow these words of mine I present you today and work hard so that all My followers will be united under the Bishop of Rome, the successor of St. Peter, selected by Me to be the head of the Church. May you all be one as the Father and I are one.”

"My very dear little ones everywhere in the world who hear My words, who pray My rosary, who pray for the world, I am your Immaculate Mother. I am so happy to be here on this special feast day for mothers.

Believe My words, My children, when I tell you that the Fatima children are here with you once again on this special day, Jacinta, Francisco and now Lucia. They and all of Heaven have joined your prayers pleading mercy on the world, especially for your own children and little ones everywhere. My faithful people, My dear ones, do not forget the children. Do not forget how many suffer terribly at the hands of others, or from poverty or sickness in poverty stricken countries.

My children, your prayers are everything to those who suffer and those who do not know Jesus; do not know their Father and Creator; do not know the Holy Spirit of God; do not know Me, and suffer because of it. You, yourselves know the sweetness, the peace, the trust, most of all the surety you feel in your hearts of Our intimate presence with you. All of you are comforted by Our presence in your lives in a greater way now. Give praise and thanks to the Father now, with Me for His gifts that have united us so closely, so strongly, so deeply. We shall pray quietly for a moment, My dear ones.

"All of Heaven has prayed with us, and those of you who are not here, but hear or read these words know that all of Heaven is praying with you as you read those words as well. It is a day for gifts, Mother's Day. There is motherly nurturing in all people, and so it is the feast day of all people today. Pray for those fathers who are mothers, as well, in the lives of their children, single parent families. Pray for mothers whose hearts are broken because they cannot provide enough food, shelter and clothing for their children. Pray for (or to) your own mothers this day in gratitude, in thanksgiving; for they were the instruments which gave you life, which nurtured you, the instruments of your Baptism; knowing of the Sacraments, passing them on to you, nurturing your spiritual life in most cases.

Mother of Mercy Novena begins Sunday, May 17th

Sunday, May 17th, 2009 begins the novena to Mary, Our Lady, Mother of Mercy
whose feast day is Monday, May 25th (Memorial day this year). Our Mother of Mercy
requests your help in praying a special novena for the conversion of sinners.

“My dear children, I love you all very much and I wish you to pray this nine-day novena
before the feast of Mother of Mercy, which is on May 25th. I desire that you begin this prayer
on May 17th and that you end this prayer on May 25th…Through this chaplet and this novena,
you will help me and my Immaculate Heart, which is a merciful heart, to triumph.”
(January 24, 2005 in an apparition message through Chris Courtis in Maryland, U.S.A.)

The novena which Our Mother of Mercy requests consists of praying
the Mother of Mercy Chaplet and a special novena prayer for each of the nine days.

Reflection on the Message of March 25, 2009

PRAY FOR PEACE AND WITNESS IT

"Dear children! Today I call you all to pray for peace and to witness it in your families so that peace may become the highest treasure on this peaceless earth. I am your Queen of Peace and your mother. I desire to lead you on the way of peace, which comes only from God. Therefore, pray, pray, pray. Thank you for having responded to my call." Message of April 25, 2009

In her message of 25 April 2009 Our Lady calls us to pray for peace and to witness it at the same time, first in our families and then in the whole world. It is a fact that our time is marked with peacelessness in its many various forms. Having that in mind, we must not remain indifferent, but must make every effort to create peace. The Church, which has been announcing the Joyful News since its very beginning, has been called to announce and always realize peace. In His message written in the occasion of the World Day for Peace Pope John Paul II, of blessed memory, says: «We do not claim to find in the Gospel text ready-made formulas for making today this or that advance towards peace.

But on every page of the Gospel and of the history of the Church we find a spirit, that of brotherly love, powerfully teaching peace.» We Christians are called to announce and witness peace with our own lives. Establishing peace is not a question of choice, it is an obligation. Peace is never established once and for all, but needs to be created all the time because the deepest longing of man's heart is actually for peace. In his book Fast with the Heart the departed Fr. Slavko Barbaric writes about peace: «How often we lose peace because we are arrogant, selfish, envious, jealous, avariciuos and consumed by power and honour. Experience confirms that through fasting and prayer evil, arrogance and selfishness are overcome; the heart is opened and love and humility, generosity and goodness grow. Thus, true conditions for peace are realized.

Whoever has peace because he loves and forgives also remains spiritually and physically healthy. He remains capable of shaping his own life in a manner worthy of man, who is the most exalted of God’s creatures. Through fasting and prayer, human needs are also diminished and brought to proportion.

Also by this, conditions for peace along with a proper relationship with others and material things are being created. In everything we do, whether good or bad, we seek peace. When a person loves, looks for and experiences peace, or even when he stays sober or fights against addiction, he seeks peace. When he becomes drunk, he also seeks peace. When he fights for his life and the lives of those he loves, he realizes peace.»

The Queen of Peace wants to lead us to true peace, which is her Son and our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the true king of peace. Prayer is the safe path leading to Jesus and Heaven. In her last message she urges us three times to pray for peace as prayer is the only right way. Let us respond with all our heart and soul to the call of Our Mother Mary, the Queen of Peace, and she will lead us to the true peace, the love of God, closeness and joy.
