Fr Doucette - "Repent and follow Me" - Fri, Sep 26, 2008
FATHER MELVIN DOUCETTE
"Repent and follow Me"
Friday, September 26, 2008
Dear Friends,
After this Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the customs post. He said to him, Follow me. And leaving everything behind, he got up and followed him. Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were at table with them.
The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners? Jesus said to them in reply, Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners. Luke 5: 27 32
I send you now another message from Our Lord to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words, When I was on earth, I chose twelve Apostles to be with Me. I chose twelve because I was starting the New People of God and the Father had started the Old People of God with the Jewish people by selection the twelve tribes of Israel. I chose twelve Jewish men on whom I built My Church with Peter as their head.
One of those I chose was Levi who is known as Matthew. He was a tax collector and he was hated by the Jewish people. Tax collectors were hated because they worked for the Romans who occupied Israel in those days. I simply went to him and told him follow me and he left everything and followed Me.
He had a great banquet where the Apostles and I were invited along with the tax collectors and friends of Matthew. However, the Pharisees were not happy that I sat at the meal with tax collectors and sinners. The Pharisees would never sit at table with them thinking that they were better than them. I told these hypocrites that I had come not to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.
You know that you have all sinned and it is you, therefore, that I call to follow Me. I came to redeem you by wiping away all your sins if you repent. I want you all in My Kingdom where you will be My friends. Live close to Me and our friendship will grow every day. One day you will be with Me in heaven together with all the angels and saints. Repent and follow Me.

JESUS IS WHO KING OF ALL NATIONS to littlest of servants September 25, 2008
Soon, very soon they will abolish my SACRIFICE. They will call it just a remembrance. Many of MY priests no longer believe.
They will turn on ME just as Judas turned on ME and their thirty pieces of silver will be their apostasy.
They will rot in hell with Judas. This will be their fate.
After this message JESUS directed me to read Matthew 15:8-9.
7
Hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy about you when he said:
8
'This people honors me with their lips, 5 but their hearts are far from me;
9
in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts.'"
10
He summoned the crowd and said to them, "Hear and understand.
11
It is not what enters one's mouth that defiles that person; but what comes out of the mouth is what defiles one."
5 [8] The text of Isaiah 29:13 is quoted approximately according to the Septuagint.
Isaiah 29: 13
The Lord said: Since this people draws near with words only and honors me with their lips alone, though their hearts are far from me, And their reverence for me has become routine observance of the precepts of men,
14
Therefore I will again deal with this people in surprising and wondrous fashion: The wisdom of its wise men shall perish and the understanding of its prudent men be hid.
15
Woe to those who would hide their plans too deep for the LORD! Who work in the dark, saying, "Who sees us, or who knows us?"
16
Your perversity is as though the potter were taken to be the clay: As though what is made should say of its maker, "He made me not!" Or the vessel should say of the potter, "He does not understand."

Jesus Prepares Us For A Chastisement!
Today I spent an hour alone with Jesus in adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament where I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and prayed for the intentions of all with special needs and prayers.
After some prayer time while still on my knees, I asked Jesus to empty my mind from all noise and allow only His word and/or visions to enter into my heart.
After asking Jesus to please cover me with His most precious blood, I prayed, speak Lord (if it be Your will), Your servant listens.
Vision: I soon began to see many buses all filled to capacity with people standing shoulder to shoulder, and all without faces.
Then Jesus spoke to my heart saying, Eileen My child, the time has come when people will be transported from one place to another using only mass transit. Hours will be spent in lines to receive food and other survival essentials. No longer will people have the luxury of spending their time and energies to pursue personal interests, as this will become a luxury of few. The main focus of most will be time and energy spent on simply sustaining life itself.
Those who have remained focused on Me will not be distraught. But others will have the opportunity for reflection and regret, yet become ready to savor their strength for a long overdue atonement. Some will perish by their own sword as they stalk the streets preying on the weak, stealing and wrecking havoc.
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen
Medjugorje Day By Day SEPT 26 - LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF GOD
Message of September 25, 2005 "Dear children! In love I call you: convert, even though you are far from my heart. Do not forget, I am your mother and I feel pain for each one who is far from my heart; but I do not leave you alone. I believe you can leave the way of sin and decide for holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Who Is Jesus to Me?
Jesus is the Word to be spoken.
Jesus is the Truth to be told.
Jesus is the Way to be walked.
Jesus is the Light to be lit.
Jesus is the Life to be lived.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
We can overload our memories and stall
" God has blessed some people with remarkable powers of retention. It is said that Themistocles knew by heart the names of twenty thousand citizens of Athens.
History records that Cyrus knew the name of every soldier in his army. On the other hand, Aristotle held that people who have such vivid memories for details never have good judgment. This may be because images pile up with such rapidity as to destroy the relation between abstract ideas which are essential for judgment. "
St. Faustina's diary http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html -
O my Jesus, although I have such very strong impulsions, I am to act on them slowly, and this only in order not to spoil Your work with my haste. O my Jesus, You give me to know Your mysteries, and You want me to transmit them to other souls.
Soon now it will be possible for me to act. At the moment of apparent absolute destruction, my mission, now no longer hindered by anything, will begin. Such is the will of God in this, and it will not change; although many persons will oppose it, nothing will change God's will. (1389)
Today the Lord Jesus is giving me an awareness of Himself and of His most tender love and care for me. He is bringing me to understand deeply how everything depends on His will, and how He allows certain difficulties precisely for our merit, so that our fidelity might be clearly manifest. And through this, I have been given strength for suffering and self-denial. (1409)
So today I submit myself completely and with loving consent to Your holy will, O Lord, and to Your most wise decrees, which are always full of clemency and mercy for me, though at times I can neither understand nor fathom them.
O my Master, I surrender myself completely to You, who are the rudder of my soul; steer it Yourself according to Your divine wishes. I enclose myself in Your most compassionate Heart, which is a sea of unfathomable mercy. (1450)

Quote of the Day
If we possessed every virtue, but lacked humility, those virtues would be without root and would not last. -St. Vincent de Paul
Intention of the Day
Please pray through the intercession of St. Vincent de Paul, for all who are poor.
MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
SEPT 26 - LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF GOD
The Queen of Peace speaks of love today:
Dear children, you must understand that a person has to pray. Prayer is no laughing matter, but a conversation with God himself. In every prayer, then, you must listen to the voice of God. Truly, without prayer a person cannot live. Prayer is life. (LJM 9-10-84).
In Luke's gospel, Jesus also urges us to pray:
So I say to you, ask and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-10).
Reflection:
Prayer is by far the most frequent message given in Medjugorje, since from it flows a fountain of graces that are obtainable in no other way. For example:
Peace: "In prayer, you will find peace." (WM 7-5-84)
Joy: "By means of prayer...you will obtain joy. (MM 8-25-89)
Love: "Pray, because in prayer each one of you will be able to achieve complete love."
Holiness: "By prayer and sacrifice you will begin to live in holiness" (WM-11-13-86)
Grace: "Without prayer, dear children, you cannot experience...the graces which I offer to you." (WM 7-3-86)
Happiness: "Prayer makes one know happiness" (FY 10-20-84)
We can see why Our Lady calls us so urgently to prayer, for there are so many gifts she wishes to give us. "Before all, pray," she once told Jelena. "I say it again, pray! Know that in your life the most important thing is prayer."
Application:
Today, spend some extra time in prayer, opening your heart to receive the graces of the Holy Spirit.
SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH
"Glorious St. Joseph, tenderhearted father, faithful
guardian of Jesus, chaste spouse of the Mother of
God, I ask you to join me in praising God the Father
through His Divine Son who died on the cross and
rose again to give us sinners new life. Through the
Holy Name of Jesus, pray with me that we may obtain
from the eternal Father the favor we ask. (here
state your intention)."
Say this prayer for nine consecutive days.
Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails. Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!
