Medjugorje Day By Day Mar 16 - MANY LIVE IN SIN

"In the Eucharist the Church is completely united to Christ and his sacrifice, and makes her own the spirit of Mary. This truth can be understood more deeply by re-reading the Magnificat in a Eucharistic key. The Eucharist, like the Canticle of Mary, is first and foremost praise and thanksgiving.

When Mary exclaims: 'My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour', she already bears Jesus in her womb. She praises God 'through' Jesus, but she also praises him 'in' Jesus and 'with' Jesus. This is itself the true 'Eucharistic attitude'" (Pope John Paul II, Ecclesia de Eucharistia, 58).

The Cross is that beneficent water that not only purifies me, but provides the nourishment for the virtues in me. It makes them grow in me. And then it leaves me, when it brings me back to Eternal Life.
Mother Teresa -

Jesus has chosen us for Himself; we belong to Him. Let us be so convinced of this belonging that we do not allow anything, however small, to separate us from this belonging from this love.

"The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass gives boundless honor to the Most Blessed Trinity because it represents the passion of Jesus Christ and because through the Mass we offer God the merits of Our Lord's obedience, of His sufferings and of His Precious Blood. The whole of the heavenly court also receives an accidental joy from the Mass.

Several doctors of the Church—together with St. Thomas Aquinas—tell us that, for the same reason, all the blessed in Heaven rejoice in the communion of the faithful because the Blessed Sacrament is a memorial of the passion and death of Jesus Christ, and that by means of it men share in its fruits and work out their salvation" (St. Louis de Montfort).

You must be attentive to everything that may not be sweetness and peace if you do not want to dishonor me.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
Suffering has been loved joyfully by great souls. It is the auxiliary of creation after the unfortunate fall; it is a most powerful lever to raise man up again, it is the helping hand of Infinite Love for our regeneration (ASN, 42).

Archbishop Fulton Sheen

God helps those who help themselves for His sake

"Contentment is not inconsistent with our endeavor to have our condition improved. We do everything we can, as if all depended on us, but we trust in God as if everything depended on Him."

St. Faustina's diary http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html -

Jesus, I trust in You.

Novena to The Divine Mercy

which Jesus instructed me to write down and make before the Feast of Mercy. It begins on Good Friday.

I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw from them strength and refreshment and whatever grace they need in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death.

On each day you will bring to My Heart a different group of souls, and you will immerse them in this ocean of My mercy, and I will bring all these souls into the house of My Father. You will do this in this life and in the next. I will deny nothing to any soul whom you will bring to the fount of My mercy. On each day you will beg My Father, on the strength of My bitter Passion, for graces for these souls.

I answered, "Jesus, I do not know how to make this novena or which souls to bring first into Your Most Compassionate Heart." Jesus replied that He would tell me which souls to bring each day into His Heart. (1209)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

Mar 16 - MANY LIVE IN SIN

The visionaries say that the Virgin is usually happy when she appears to them, but in giving today's message she was in tears:

"There are so many men who live in sin. Here there are likewise among you some people who have offended my heart. Pray and fast for them (Locution Jelena & Mirajana March 21, 1984).

Reflection: Although sin is a tragic reality of our world, as the Gospa reminds us today, so is the limitless mercy and forgiveness of God, who has reconciled us to himself through the Cross.

As St. John writes:

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world (1 Jn2:1-2).

The grace of God's forgiveness is freely given to all who acknowledge their sin with a repentant heart; indeed, the church gives us the season of Lent for this very purpose. From Psalm 51, the Prayer of Repentance:

Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness; In the greatness of your compassion wipe out My offense. Thoroughly wash me from my guilt And of my sin cleanse me. For I acknowledge my offense, And my sin is before me always: "Against you only have I sinned, and done what is evil in your sight" That you may be justified in your sentence, Vindicated when you condemn. A clean heart create for me, O God, And a steadfast spirit renew within me. ---Psalm 51:1-6; 12 (NAB)

Repentance always touches the heart of God, and he embraces us with tender forgiveness. The Blessed Mother not only calls us personally to repentance today, but asks us to pray and fast for the many souls who are hardened in sin. In fact, throughout her many messages this is a major theme. In engaging in this ministry of prayer for the conversion of sinners, we are going that extra mile in living Our Lady's messages.

Application:

Today offer the Sorrowful Mysteries for the conversion of sinners, and perhaps your fasting or other sacrifice on Friday.

Medjugorje Day By Day Mar 15 - Read the Bible

"When I am before the Tabernacle, I can say only one thing to Our Lord: 'My God, you know that I love you.' And I feel my prayer does not tire Jesus; knowing the helplessness of His poor little spouse, He is content with her good will" (St. Therese, The Little Flower).

The Cross is the noble seat of uncreated Wisdom that teaches me the most high doctrines, subtle and sublime. Therefore, the Cross alone will unveil to me the most secret mysteries, the most hidden things, the most perfect perfection, hidden to the most learned and wise of the world.

Mother Teresa -
Love begins at home.
Everything depends on how we love each other. Do not be afraid to love until it hurts, for this is how Jesus loved.

Each suffering that the soul endures, is one more dominion which she attains over herself.
Meditations by Padre Pio -
He who begins to love, must be ready to suffer (CE, 25).

Archbishop Fulton Sheen
The greater our love for God, the less our needs in this world

"Contentment is based on the idea that `our sufficiency is not from ourselves but from God.' The soul does not desire or lack more than what God has supplied him. His will suits his state after he has exhausted his resources and his desire does not exceed his power. Hence everything that happens is judged to be as good and worthy of Divine appointment. As Socrates observed: `He is nearest to God who needs the fewest things.'"

St. Faustina's diary http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html -

O Lord, my Love, I thank You for this day on which You have allowed me to draw a wealth of graces from the fountain of Your unfathomable mercy. O Jesus, not only today, but at every moment, I draw from Your unfathomable mercy everything that the soul and body could want. (1178)

Jesus. From all My wounds, like from streams, mercy flows for souls, but the wound in My Heart is the fountain of unfathomable mercy. From this fountain spring all graces for souls. The flames of compassion burn Me. I desire greatly to pour them out upon souls. Speak to the whole world about My mercy. (1190)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

Mar 15 - READ THE BIBLE

The Queen of Peace speaks of scripture to the prayer group:

I ask you again to multiply your prayers to prepare yourself for Easter. Also, read the Bible, especially those passages that speak of the Passion of Jesus. Prepare yourself to look at Jesus "eye to eye". Tonight when you go home, pray in front of the cross in thanksgiving for all the graces you have received (Visionary Prayer Group March 17, 1989).

In Hebrews, Paul speaks of the power of scripture:

Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb 4:12).

Reflection:

The American poet Timothy Dwight once said: "The Bible is a window in this prison-world, through which we may look into eternity." And yet cannot enlighten or reveal God's will to us unless we read and reflect upon it, which Our Lady calls us to do today.

In Hebrews, Paul speaks of scripture as living, life-changing, and dynamic. God's word reveals who we are and the purpose of life. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life; it helps us to discern what is within us, both good and bad.

As the message of scripture becomes a part of us, it will affect our lifestyle, character, and decisions. It will begin to shape our lives.

Application:

Continue to make sacred scripture a part of your daily life. As Our Lady requests of us for Lent, begin to read the narratives of Christ's Passion, beginning today with Matthew 26:36 –27:61. The others are Mark 14:32—15:47; Luke 22:39—23:56; and John 18:1—19:42.

Message to J.N.S.R. Jan.4, 2009

"JESUS - GOD made MAN"

The mystery of Christmas

January 4, 2009 - Epiphany

JESUS: Just as we are, we are unique. We are, each of us, one only being, but that unique being still goes through different states in life. And God's graces on Earth always have a price as trials for the soul.

Quiet waters are never the lot of those who are chosen to bring to their brothers - the Word of GOD - this Living Word that is Christ Himself - who suffers in His Heart whenever you suffer.

Therefore, I ask you not to lose your way, keep your love pure, for your GOD. The sealed covenant between (man or woman) and GOD, must be like the chastity of an "inviolable" Saint and the trial that you experience sometimes physically, is there not to weaken you, but rather to overcome it, in the strength that I give you, to enable you to rise to an extra level, for what I ask you still today,

"Is to rise higher"

with those who follow you, for this slope that is becoming steadily steeper, to the top of those mounts so high - that seem to touch Heaven - because so few have made up their mind to climb so high. Today, in order for the Light to come down to this valley of Tears, and to enlighten the bottom of those souls that refuse to open. They need someone that has within himself that free spirit, to live for the other, what he wishes for himself,

"To be of GOD and of man at the same Time"

following GOD. Up to the end "When you have given all that you have, and You, have not given of yourself", You have given Me nothing! Then the other will be saved for he becomes flesh of your flesh, and spirit of your spirit. And then GOD can perform this miracle through you.

He sees the other - "One into the other" - and for His LOVE that He sees in You - you shall both be saved at the same time - Also GOD has so loved the World - that He became SON - of man, so that the unbeliever - still so small because of being immature - might see with the eyes of his body - know him - touch him - see him alive -

and better know his GOD of LOVE. "Philip, who sees Me, sees the Father" - those were the words of JESUS (GOD made man) to His disciples, and they still remain misunderstood to this day, by mankind.

I use "waves" to speak to you, Jesus says to me. He, the Lord, well knows both my question and my answer - without my coming near Him, as my spirit is directly joined to Him.

What a confession of all the minutes gone by!

What repentance!

So many absolutions! for one single soul which, for one more reason, is no different from another.

The one thing that GOD told me when I asked Him why He chose me - I am nothing: You said it - "But you are so pliable!"

The Light of The World!

At the 8:00 A.M. Mass I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and prayed for all those with special needs and intentions. After making an Act of Contrition, I received the most sacred Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

On my knees with both hands blocking out all distraction, I thanked God for His many blessings and graces and told Him of my love for Him. Asking God to block out all extraction that the only communication I receive comes from His heart to mine, I prayed: Speak Lord, Your servant listens.

I began to see a forest from an aerial view, many trees and their fullness and closeness creating a deep blanket of darkness. The only light was a small fraction that was from the sun shining directly upon the tree-tops

Then Jesus spoke saying; Looking down upon the earth there is much darkness and only a small bit of Light! In order to bring more Light into the world, more prayer and frequenting of the sacraments is necessary.

Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your sisters and brothers. Amen.

Jesus Reveals A Secret To Us!

Each morning when I awake, I usually look to my right where my painting of Jesus hangs. I say good morning Jesus and tell Him I love. Him. This morning I laid a little longer than usual and our dogs came in to greet us and give us the command Get up?!

Normally, I obey like a good pet owner, but today I lingered a little longer. The 2 dogs ran to the kitchen and there in bed I talked to Jesus saying, Jesus what happens to our pets in the next world, I know we love them so much! Jesus replied, I love them too, I created them.

As I lay there trying to comprehend the enormity of a heaven full of billions of people who have passed on and their pets, I couldn't help wondering if heaven would be crowded or noisy, and how would anyone find their loved ones and/or pets?

Jesus reading my thoughts responded to them saying, In heaven there is only peace, joy and serenity. You may walk alone, however should you think of a loved one, or a pet you once owned, it will suddenly appear before you.

I thanked Jesus for this grace of sharing a bit of the beyond with us and felt very delighted that Jesus shared this with us. For in my own small mind, I could not have thought outside of the box! Yet when Jesus revealed this to me, I realized His ways (His thinking) is not ours!

This brought me back to a time when my brother lent me a book he had read and offered it to me. It is titled Mister God, This is Anna. Author Finn Ballantine Books and the Print I have is 1974. the Story centers around a young orphan of about 6 years old who is taken in and befriended by a family who come to learn about God through her.

She has many, many questions for Finn (her adoptive brother), questions which he cannot answer, such as most of us could not answer. Finn tells Anna to take her questions to God, which she does.

Finn is astonished however, with the answers Anna comes back to him with after having spoken to God. It is a book worth reading --- If you can find it. Little Anna however, is here only briefly, because her Mr. God takes her to her real home before she reaches say eight years old.

Message to America from The Father, 03-13-09, 7:15 a.m., to O. Ann S. Hoernschemeyer

Lovely daughter of the Most HIgh, we have tried to keep all safe but the trouble brewing against the sanctity of the Word is more than America can withstand and more and more horrid things will occur in your very midst.

You must stay so close to Me in everything you do. Not a moment your heart and mind not on Your Father.

These are the starting of the end times for our OBama has gone against everything of My principles and statues for all the American people. You, My children, will not take the responsibility of satan's actions. I AM The I AM and My right hand of justice will prevail and evil will not destroy My church. I have promised you this. Lovely children of the Most High, hear the Words of Your Lord. I keep you in the midst of trouble. No harm shall come to you, My remnant.

My Blessed Mary is giving a Word throughout My land today to prepare all My lovely ones. Hear the Words of Your Lord.
How I love you forever.

FOR LITURGICAL CHURCH MEMBERS

Blessed Virgin Maryam requested this devotion in her church approved visit to Rwanda.
There is a promise she will help in all your needs those so devoted. (with the usual requirements):

Rosary (Prayersdevotions) of the Seven Sorrows
see: http://www.thegrotto.org/rosary_of_the_seven_sorrows.htm

Servite Rosary

This devotion to the Our Sorrowful Mother was originated in the Thirteenth century. It recalls the Sorrows the Virgin Mother of God endured in compassion for the suffering and death of her Divine Son.

How to pray the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows

An Act of Contrition:

O, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, behold me before your divine presence, all in confusion at the thought of the many grievous injuries I have done you. I ask pardon for them with my whole heart, repenting of them for love of you, hating them above every other evil and ready to lose my life rather than offend you again.

And do you, most tender Virgin, mother of mercy and refuge of sinners, obtain for me the pardon of all my sins by virtue of your bitter pains and help me to so pray as to gain the indulgences attached to this, your most holy Rosary.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of you divine love. Send forth you spirit and they shall be created and you shall renew the face of the earth.

Enlighten our minds , we beseech you, O Lord, with the light of your brightness, that we might see what we ought to do and be able to do what is right, through Christ, Our Lord.

Announce the First Sorrow; then say the " Our Father."
Say seven " Hail Marys," while meditating on the Sorrow.
Repeat 1 and 2 continuing through all seven Sorrows.
Three "Hail Marys" are said at the end in honor of the Tears of Our Sorrowful Mother.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be to the Father, for the intention of the Pope.
Say "Virgin most Sorrowful, pray for us" three times.

Meditate on the following while reciting the prayers

The First Sorrow:
Let us meditate on the first Sorrow of the Blessed Virgin, when she presented her only son in the temple, laid him in the arms of holy Simeon, and heard the prophetic words, "This one shall be a sword of sorrow to pierce your own heart."

The Second Sorrow:
Mary flees into Egypt with Jesus and Joseph-
Forced to endure the hardships of a long journey, and becoming a foreigner in a strange land, Mary and her family flee to protect the child Jesus from those who would destroy him.

The Third Sorrow:
Mary seeks Jesus lost in Jerusalem-
Jesus disappeared for three days in Jerusalem at the age of twelve, causing his parents, especially Mary, agonizing sorrow.

The Fourth Sorrow:
Mary meets Jesus on the way to Calvary-
As Jesus makes his way to Calvary, condemned to crucifixion, He meets His mother, Mary. He is bruised, derided, cursed and defiled and her sorrow is absolute as Jesus drags His own cross up the hill of His crucifixion.

The Fifth Sorrow:
Mary stands near the cross of her Son-
Mary stands near her dying Son unable to minister to him as he cries "I thirst". She hears him promise heaven to a thief and forgive his enemies. His last words, "Behold your mother," charge us to look on Mary as our mother.

The Sixth Sorrow:
Mary received the body of Jesus taken down from the cross-
The passion and death are over but for his mother, grief continues. She holds His body in her arms.

The Seventh Sorrow:
Mary places the body of Jesus in the tomb, awaiting the resurrection-
The most tragic day in history ends, Mary alone in sorrow, as she lays the body of her Son, in the tomb.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, Full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.Amen.

Our Father

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Three "Hail Marys" are said at the end in honor of the Tears of Our Sorrowful Mother.
Our Father,

Hail Mary,

and Glory be to the Father, for the intention of the Pope.

Say

"Virgin most Sorrowful, pray for us"

three times.

FATHER MELVIN DOUCETTE
"A person can do a good act on the Lord's Day"
Wednesday, March 04, 2009

Dear Friends,

The Man with a Withered Hand

Moving on from there, he went into their synagogue. And behold, there was a man there who had a withered hand. They questioned him, "Is it lawful to cure on the Sabbath?" so that they might accuse him.

He said to them, "Which one of you who has a sheep that falls into a pit on the Sabbath will not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable a person is than a sheep. So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."

Then he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and it was restored as sound as the other. But the Pharisees went out and took counsel against him to put him to death. (Matthew 12:9-14)

I bring you another message from Our Lord addressed to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him these words, "I always had great compassion on those who suffered and that is why when I was on earth I healed people every day even on the Sabbath. One day I was at the Synagogue and there was a man with a withered hand sitting there.

The people asked me if it was lawful to cure on the Sabbath. I told them that there was nothing wrong to heal on the Sabbath. If an animal fell into a pit, even the Jews would go down and lift it out even if it was on the Day of the Lord. I simply told the man to stretch out his hand and his hand was completely restored. The Pharisees though believed that I had sinned against God and they wanted to put Me to death.

A person can do a good act on the Lord's Day and it is not sinful. You can visit the sick, help a paralyzed person to cross the street, feed the hungry or bring a sick person to the hospital. These are all good acts and they are allowed on Sunday.

The Jewish law about this was man-made and it did not show love for one's neighbour. Sunday is not the day to work for money although nurses for example have to take care of the sick even on Sunday. Any charitable act, however, is good and can be performed on the Lord's Day."

SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH

"Glorious St. Joseph, tenderhearted father, faithful
guardian of Jesus, chaste spouse of the Mother of
God, I ask you to join me in praising God the Father
through His Divine Son who died on the cross and
rose again to give us sinners new life. Through the
Holy Name of Jesus, pray with me that we may obtain
from the eternal Father the favor we ask. (here
state your intention)."

Say this prayer for nine consecutive days.

Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails. Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!
