"Pray for all those who are in need"

Monday, February 02, 2009

Dear Friends,

Jesus said, "Stop judging that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove that splinter from your eye'? You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye." Matthew 7:1-5

Here now is the message that Our Lord addressed to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words, "It is a fact that many people love to judge other people. They judge every action of others and they attribute usually a bad motive for what they do or say.

If you can find something bad to say about another, you will spread it all throughout the area. I say, 'stop judging,' for it is sinful and you will be judged in the same way. You cannot see the heart of the person in order to attribute a motive for what that person is doing. Leave the judging to the Father for He can read the heart and mind of the person.

Instead of judging others, you should judge yourself. Most likely the other's sins are like a splinter in his or her eyes but yours is as big as a wooden beam and still you cannot see it. You tend to minimize your bad actions and exaggerate those of your neighbor or friend. This judging is sinful and it offends Your Father in heaven.

When you see something that is not right in your brother or sister, you should pray for him or her. This is the Christian way to act. If you see there is fighting in a family, pray that peace may return to that home. If someone speaks to you about how bad a person is, just say to that person to pray for his brother or sister.

I told you when I was on earth to love one another and to love everyone as I have loved you. Judging others is not the way to love your neighbor. Walk daily with Me and pray for all those who are in need."

Monthly messages as given to Anne a lay apostle.

On the first of every month, Our Lord gives Anne a new message about His call to service.

February 1, 2009

Jesus

Dearest apostles, how lovingly heaven ministers to you in your hard work. If you are moving calmly, from one task to the next, conscious of heaven¢s presence in your day, then you do not feel overwhelmed.

If, on the other hand, you forget that heaven is with you and that you are only one part of a big plan, you may be feeling overwhelmed or feeling that you may not have what you need to fulfil your part of My plan. I have designed your life in such a way that you can live it in each moment with Me.

I have all that you need for every moment of time. Your service is important to heaven. It is so important to heaven that heaven would not risk leaving you without the necessary graces for each task we have assigned to you. Are you working hard? Are you carrying a heavy cross? Are you worried about your loved ones? Are you lonely?

I have the graces for you. I have what you need both to be holy yourself and to allow others to draw from your holiness. I am here, with you, working through you and alongside you, and I am sturdy. I will not falter, dear apostle. I will not change my mind about you.

I love you today and I have loved you for a long time. I know you. I know what you need. You are making progress. Your willingness to sit quietly and read My words, conscious of My love for you, gives Me happiness. Allow My graces to give you happiness. Allow My graces to give you a light heart. Yes, there is work to be done, but not work without joy.

Yes, there are crosses to be carried, but not carried without trust. You are concerned for your loved ones but I share your concern and I bless your prayers and efforts on their behalf. You may be lonely, dear apostle, but you are not alone. Rejoice. I am with you.

"Jesus is your leader"

Saturday, January 31, 2009

Dear Friends,

In Luke’s Gospel we read concerning the announcement of the birth of Jesus:
“In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, ‘Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.’

But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.

He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will gave him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.’” Luke 1:26–33

Now I bring you a message of Our Blessed Mother addressed to Joseph. This is the message She gave him, “It is with joy that I give you this message for all My children. The great moment in the history of the world came when the Angel Gabriel appeared to Me and announced that I would be the Mother of Jesus, the Son of God. He greeted Me with these words, ‘Hail, full of grace.’

I am not pleased with the translation ‘Hail, favored one.’ He announced that I would conceive and bear a son, and He would be called Jesus. He would be called the Son of God and he would be given the throne of David, his father.

His kingdom will never have an end. What awesome words were announced to Me that day. It all came to pass for I am the Mother of Jesus, who is God and the Savior of the world. Jesus came with great love for all of you. His supreme love was shown by His acceptance to suffer and die on the cross to redeem you. It was out of love that He did all that for you.

I come today as your Mother who loves you and prays for you continuously. I pray that you will open your heart wide to Jesus, My Son, and that He will fill you with the Holy Spirit and all the graces you need. Leave sin and all kinds of addictions behind and come to Jesus and He will liberate you.

All power in heaven and earth was given Him, so if you allow Him, He will make you His disciples and His friends. If you are far away, return to Him now and you, who are lukewarm, rekindle your love for Him. Jesus is your leader.”

Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 02 - THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD

"After partaking of the Living Bread, remember what our Lady must have felt when the Holy Spirit overpowered her, and she who was full of grace became full with the body of Christ" (Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta).

"The only way to fail is to stop." St. Teresa of Avila

Mother Teresa -
We must join our prayer with work. How is it possible to change one's work into a prayer?

Meditations by Padre Pio -
I want to be only a poor friar who prays… God sees blemishes even in the angels, can you imagine what He sees in me!

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
We must treasure our parental duty

"What if God placed a precious diamond in the hands of parents and told them to inscribe on it a sentence which would be read on the Last Day, and shown as an index of their thoughts and ideals? What caution they would exercise in their selection! And yet the example parents give their children will be that by which they will be judged on the Last Day."

St. Faustina's diary
O my Jesus, You are the life of my life. You know only too well that I long for nothing but the glory of Your Name and that souls come to know Your goodness. Why do souls avoid You, Jesus?-I don't understand that.

Oh, if I could only cut my heart into tiny pieces and in this way offer to You, O Jesus, each piece as a heart whole and entire, to make up in part for the hearts that do not love You! I love You, Jesus, with every drop of my blood, and I would gladly shed my blood for You to give You a proof of the sincerity of my love.

O God, the more I know You the less I can comprehend You, but this "non-comprehension" lets me realize how great You are! And it is this impossibility of comprehending You which enflames my heart anew for You, O Lord. From the moment when You let me fix the eyes of my soul on You, O Jesus, I have been at peace and desired nothing else.

I found my destiny at the moment when my soul lost itself in You, the only object of my love. In comparison with You, everything is nothing. Sufferings, adversities, humiliations, failures, and suspicions that have come my way are splinters that keep alive the fire of my love for You, O Jesus... (57)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

Feb 2 - THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD

On the feast of the Presentation, Our Lady seeks to present us to God:
"Dear children, again today, I invite you to abandon yourself completely to me. Only then, in turn, can I present each of you to God. Dear children, you know that I love you immeasurably, and I wish each of you to be mine. But God gives everyone freedom, which I lovingly respect, and to which I humbly submit.

Dear children, I wish that God's plan regarding this parish be realized. But, if you do not pray, you will not be able to recognize my love, nor God's plan for this parish, and for each of you.

Pray that Satan does not entice you with his pride and deceptive strength. I am with you and want you to believe that I love you. (Monthly Message November 25, 1987)

From St.Luke, the story of the Presentation:

When the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice according to what is stated in the law of the Lord, "a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons."

Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon...Guided by the Spirit, Simeon came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him what was customary under the law, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God saying, "Master, now you are dismissing your servant in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel." (Lk 2:22-32)

Reflection:

From a sermon by St. Sophronius, the 7th century bishop: "Rejoicing with old Simeon with the Christ child in his arms, let us sing a hymn of thanksgiving to God, the Father of Light, who sent the true Light to dispel the darkness and to give us all a share in his splendor." This is a day of joy, for the Lord was presented to God in the temple, and by extension, presented to his people of Israel and to all humankind. The Son of God is among us !

As a baby, Jesus was of course small and vulnerable when he presented by Mary and Joseph. In the same way, we are called to become open and vulnerable in order to present ourselves to the Lord. The Blessed Virgin urges us to give up our false security in material things so that, like a child, we become dependent on our parent, on God, for our safety and security to let go and let God.

In such a way, Our Lady can then ask us "to decide to surrender again everything completely to me... Only that way will I be able to present each of you to God."

Application:

So that Mary can present us to the Lord, let us now present and dedicate ourselves to her through the prayer of consecration she gave to Jelena:

Message to Eileen Renders Feb. 1, 2009

Jesus Tells Us The First Commandment Is Love

Today I attended the 8:00 A.M. Mass at my parish and prayed for all with special needs and intentions. After making small offerings to Jesus and Mary, I prayed the Act Of Contrition in preparation of receiving the most sacred Body and Blood of Christ in the sacrament of Holy Communion.

After receiving the most sacred Host, I knelt in silent commune with Jesus. To insure avoidance of all exterior distraction, I cover my face with both hands and lowered my head. I thanked Jesus for all His many blessings and prayed for His guidance and chastisement.

After asking Jesus to cover me with His most precious blood, I prayed Speak Lord (if it be His will), Your servant listens.

Jesus responded to my heart saying: ?Eileen My child, each day begins with the blessing of life and much to be thankful for. Yet each day ends with darkness and thousands of abductions, rapes, break-ins and murdering. Those who cannot extend love to their sisters and brothers, all made to a likeness of their God, how then can they say that they love Me, their creator?

Each day of life is yet another opportunity to share love. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.?

Note: The First Commandment is to Love the Lord Thy God. So if God made His creatures to His likeness, we are to love them also. Jesus told us that the First Commandment is the most important of all the Commandments. For if we love Him and love our neighbor as ourselves, there would be no need for any other commandments.

God the Father to littlest of servants January 31, 2009

While in Church this morning after Mass the ETERNAL FATHER spoke to me. HE told me that when we come before the BLESSED SACRAMENT in a HOLY HOUR or ADORATION we console not only the HEART OF JESUS but also the HEART OF OUR LADY and HIS MOST SACRED HEART. That is the HEART of the ETERNAL FATHER.

I then saw a vision and it was Our Lord and Our Lady and they were smiling.

The FATHER continued and told me that HE gave HIS MOST BELOVED SON TO THE WORLD as an answer to OUR SINS. That HIS SON, OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, was the only way to HIM and that there was no other name in the heavens or on earth by which mankind could be saved. That those that rejected HIS SON also rejected HIM and would be lost forever into the FIRES OF HELL.

The FATHER then repeated three times slowly and with GREAT AUTHORITY these words, "WHO EVER REJECTS MY SON HAS REJECTED HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN".

PRAY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

God remembers His promises. Delay is not denial.

Prayer for Priests by St. Therese of Lisieux

O Jesus, eternal Priest, keep your priests within the shelter of Your Sacred
Heart, where none may touch them. Keep unstained their anointed hands, which
daily touch Your Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips, daily purpled with
your Precious Blood.

Keep pure and unearthly their hearts, sealed with the
sublime mark of the priesthood. Let Your holy love surround them and shield
them from the world's contagion. Bless their labors with abundant fruit and
may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolation here and in
heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen.

Mother Teresa -
It is possible that I may not be able to keep my attention fully on God while I work, but God doesn't demand that I do so. Yet I can fully desire and intend that my work be done with Jesus and for Jesus.
This is beautiful and what God wants.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
Prayer is the effusion of our heart into God's… when it is well done, it moves the Divine Heart and makes Him always more inclined to grant our requests. Let us pour out our whole soul to God in prayer. He is captivated by our prayers and comes to our aid.
Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
Parenting can be God's kiln of kindness
"The duty of parents to children is to rule while avoiding exasperating severity on the one hand and excessive indulgences on the other. God gives parents a child as so much plastic material that can be molded for good or evil."

St. Faustina's diary At present, the topic of my particular examen is my union with the Merciful Christ. This practice gives me unusual strength; my heart is always united with the One it desires, and its actions are regulated by mercy, which flows from love. (703)

Today I received a letter from Father Sopocko. I learned that he intends to publish a holy card of the Merciful Christ. He asked me to send him a certain prayer which he wants to put on the back, if he receives the Archbishop's approbation. Oh, what great joy fills my heart that God has let me see this work of His mercy! How great is this work of the Most High God! I am but His instrument.

Oh, how ardently I desire to see this Feast of the Divine Mercy which God is demanding through me. But if it is the will of God that it be celebrated solemnly only after my death, even so I rejoice in it already, and I celebrate it interiorly with my confessor's permission. (711)

Feb 1 - PRAY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT

Today Our Lady speaks of the Holy Spirit :

Dear children, during these days of the Pentecost novena, pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your families and on your parish.

You will never regret prayer. God will give you the gifts by which you will glorify him until the end of your life on earth (Weekly Message June 2, 1984).

And in Galatians, Paul speaks of the Spirit's gifts :

Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law (Gal 5 :16-18).

Reflection :

Echoing the Blessed Mother and St.Paul, Pope Leo XIII once wrote : "Each one of us greatly needs the protection and help of the Holy Spirit. The more one is lacking in wisdom, weak in strength, born down with trouble, prone to sin, the more he ought to fly to him who is the never-ceasing fount of light, strength, consolation, and holiness. "

With this encouragement, let us offer this prayer for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit :

O Lord Jesus Christ, who, before ascending into heaven, did promise to send the Holy Spirit to finish your work in the souls of your apostles and disciples deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me, to perfect in my soul the work of your grace and your love.

Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom, that I many not be attached to the perishable things of this world, but aspire only after the things that are eternal. The Spirit of Understanding, to enlighten my mind with the light of Your divine truth. The Spirit of Counsel, that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining heaven. The Spirit of Fortitude, that I may bear my cross with you, and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation.

The Spirit of Knowledge, that I may know God and know myself, and grow perfect in the science of the saints. The Spirit of Piety, that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable. The Spirit of Fear, that I may be filled with a loving reverence toward God and may avoid anything that may displease him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of your true disciples, and animate me in all things with your Spirit. Amen.

Application :

Add to your daily prayers a petition for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as Our Lady encourages us today.

SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH

"Glorious St. Joseph, tenderhearted father, faithful
guardian of Jesus, chaste spouse of the Mother of
God, I ask you to join me in praising God the Father
through His Divine Son who died on the cross and
rose again to give us sinners new life. Through the
Holy Name of Jesus, pray with me that we may obtain
from the eternal Father the favor we ask. (here
state your intention)."

Say this prayer for nine consecutive days.

Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails. Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!
