Dear Friends,
The Baptism of Jesus
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. John tried to prevent him, saying, I need to be baptized by you, and yet you are coming to me? Jesus said to him in reply, Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.? Then he allowed him.
After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water and behold, the heavens were opened for him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon him. And a voice came from the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3:13 17
Here is another message from the Lord addressed to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words, When it was time to start My public life, I came to John the Baptist at the river Jordan to be baptized. He had been baptizing there for some time to prepare the people for My coming. When I asked him to baptize Me, John felt unworthy by telling Me that he should be baptized by Me. I gently asked him to do what I asked him. So he went ahead and baptized Me in the waters of the Jordan.
It was important that I be baptized because of the ritual and its significance. By being baptized I was accepting in a very formal way the responsibility I was given by My Father to be the Savior of all the people of the world. Baptism signifies death to sin and rising to new life. As the Savior I accepted to take upon Myself all the sins of the world and to die for them and then to rise again.
My baptism was very important as the Holy Spirit made His presence known by coming upon Me and the Father also spoke as I came out of the water saying these words, This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. This shows how happy My Father was at this personal acceptance of His will.
Yes, now I was ready to begin My public life with the strength of My Father and the Holy Spirit in Me. What was expressed in My baptism that day became reality during the course of My public life. My mind was set and I would never turn back. I suffered everything because I love you and I desire you to be My friend.

The Woman and the Dragon
"A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth.
Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days." We are having a snowstorm this morning with heavy winds and with the drifting snow it looks like a blizzard. We are supposed to have this weather for most of the day.
I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning in the little shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. In the evening I spent a holy hour in the little shrine from 11:00 p.m. to midnight praying for God's blessing on the world for the New Year 2009. There will be a Healing Mass tomorrow, January 2, starting at 7:30 p.m. with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. I wish to thank all those who sent me Christmas cards and gifts and I also thank those who sent money so that Father Charles may go to University later this year. I already received $280 dollars. May the Lord bless you all during this New Year.
Here is another message from Our Lord to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words, "The First of January is the great feast of My Holy Mother under the title of Mother of God. Her holiness is well expressed in the reading from Revelations, which says, 'a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.' She is indeed the Queen of Heaven crowned by My Father. Great honor is given to My Dear Mother at all times in heaven.
It is My greatest desire that all who accept Me as their Savior also accept My Mother as their Mother. She is working unceasingly to bring all the people of the world to believe in Me and to follow Me so that they will be with us in heaven for eternity. Her prayer has great power, as She is the holiest person ever to live on earth. Call on Her to intercede for you for what you truly need and I will give it to Her so that She can bring it to you.
My Mother wants you all to pray the rosary every day. This is Her great prayer and it is powerful. Make a resolution on this first day of the year to pray your rosary daily. You will receive many great blessings."

Vision to littlest of servants January 1, 2009
While in church this morning after MASS praying before the BLESSED SACRAMENT I received the following vision and message.
JESUS spoke to me and reminded me of a vision I had several months ago.
I then saw the vision again. I saw JESUS and myself (I was a little child about three) and we were standing on the sand at the shoreline looking out at the ocean.
JESUS then spoke to me and asked me if I remembered what HE had said to me when I had the vision months earlier.
I said I did and HE wanted me to repeat it again so that all the world could begin to understand HIS GREAT AND INFINITE MERCY.
At that time (the vision months ago) JESUS told me as we were both looking out at the ocean that if all the oceans of the world represented HIS MERCY then all the sins of the world that had been committed and would be committed represented only a drop of water against the oceans of HIS GREAT AND INFINITE MERCY.
That no human being ever created (outside HIS MOTHER) could even begin to grasp HIS INFINITE MERCY.
That is why JESUS wants us to trust in HIS MERCY and HE WANTS US TO SAY THESE WORDS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU. EVERY TIME YOU DOUBT HIS MERCY HE WANTS YOU TO SAY THOSE WORDS AND TO REPEAT THEM MANY TIMES. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU.
WITH THESE WORDS YOU WILL GAIN CONFIDENCE IN HIS MERCY NOT ONLY FOR YOURSELF BUT, YOU WILL ALSO HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT YOUR PRAYERS (especially the DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET and ROSARY) WILL GAIN THE MERCY OF JESUS FOR THOSE WHO YOU PRAY FOR.

Jesus: My Father’s chastisements have begun and they will certainly continue. Until this nation becomes a nation
of the and, you will not succeed as you once were, a great nation for all to admire. Shame on you and your chosen path of death. You will not escape my Heavenly Father’s justice.
Jesus: For any woman who has committed this grave sin, I have come to give you hope for your eternity; repent
for your sin. Repent and seek my Father’s forgiveness. Seek my Father’s mercy, and you will receive it.
You cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven if you have not repented from this hideous murder of an innocent life.
Jesus: Seek me, seek my mercy, seek my Mother’s love and she will assist you. For those who have aborted life and seek reconciliation with God, our Father, then offer your free time to help fight against this slaughter!
Donate your time, your skills, your knowledge in assisting your church peacefully and legitimately, work towards the end of this profane practice against God’s holy life. You will feel my peace upon you if you contribute your efforts towards this endeavor. Dear apostles, today I wish to bring you heavenly encouragement. You often feel the opposite of encouragement, that is, discouragement. While this experience of discouragement is an unavoidable part of your time on earth, I want you to be aware of My presence in this cross.
Talk to Me about your feelings of discouragement and you will move through these periods safely and more comfortably. If you talk to Me, you will be better able to understand that your discouragement comes from your humanity and not from heaven. In other words, feelings of discouragement are not accurate reflections of heaven’s feelings about you, your service or your effectiveness.
It could be that all is going perfectly with you from heaven’s perspective, and yet, you are unaware of this for many reasons. Perhaps we are allowing a cross of suffering for you to bring benefits to you and to the world. You feel this as discouragement and yet heaven is not discouraged.
Indeed, it is often the case that heaven is pleased with your faithfulness in the face of your cross. Human discouragement must be viewed with Me, Jesus, so that its cause and benefit can be understood.
As an example, someone suffering in their body with sickness or limitation can justly understand their struggle with discouragement. An apostle struggling in this way can accept that he is both receiving graces himself and obtaining graces for others. Beloved apostles, allow Me into your struggle. It will become lighter. I will keep you encouraged if you remain united to Me.
Lec's Vision (1-01-09)
January 2, 2009
Last night, I had a very disturbing vision which I hope and
pray will not happen and just be a product of my wild imagination.
Hovering between being awake and asleep, I saw in my mind's eye a
passenger jet liner on a takeoff from an unknown airport.
Not too long after it was airborne, I saw a sort of a missile, maybe
a Surface to Air Missile (SAM) fired from the ground against the jet
plane. I did not see the missile hit the plane but I had the
feeling it was hit with none on board surviving. It was big,
headline news on all mainstream news outlets.
I did not see any marking on the plane which might give the name of
the country that owns the plane but I had an eerie feeling that the
plane could be Israeli owned which in this case could be El Al
Airlines.
If prayers can help avert this vision from taking place or simply by
just making it known by posting, then I hope my sharing of this
vision will serve a purpose (by helping avert disaster).
I hope and pray the vision is just that, a vision and nothing to it
because if the jetliner happens to be Israeli and the enemy
terrorists are the culprit, we can only expect a more violent
reaction from Israel and may even broaden the war to include
Israel's huge Islamic neighbors.
That will be of huge repercussions
for the whole world if the greater world powers become involved
eventually. Predictable maybe in the sense that the world turmoil
will usher in the period of the Prophesied Great Warning originally
predicted at Garabandal,Spain.
I don't take visions for granted especially when my mind is at a
time of rest, when nothing interferes with our conscious and
subconscious mind.
Before Comet Holmes became internet news last year, I clearly saw it

my mind's eye a huge, very bright object slowly rising up from the
East. Not the sun nor the moon. Up to now, the image still stays
fresh in my mind. I don't know if there's any significance on this
vision, but simply for record purposes, allow me to post.-
Comet Holmes appeared sometime October 2007, lingered long enough to
be observed as a strange phenomenon, but did not make the mainstream
news which made internet people wonder why.
The object I saw was like that of a huge monstrance with spikes on
all sides. Comet Holmes appeared just like a huge monstrance, some
pundits saying the corona or the dust around the comet made it even
larger than the sun.
Some people think Comet Holmes is the Hopi's Blue Kachina which
according to their legend presages the fulfillment of prophecy of
the end times.

Jesus Tells Us To Focus On Our Savior!
At the 8:00 A.M. Mass (All Saints Day), I knelt to pray for all those with special needs and intentions. After offering small gifts to Jesus and Mary, I made an Act of Contrition.
Note: We unfortunately missed Mass as we usually only have an 8:00 A.M. Mass on Sundays and on Holy days of obligation, it is usually an 8:30 A.M. Mass. We miscalculated. But stayed on to pray.
In prayer and on my knees, I gave thanks to Jesus and prayed that He would direct me and correct me. Then I prayed; Speak Lord (if it be His will), Your servant listens.
Jesus responded to my prayer saying; My child Eileen, I tell you truly; time spent in sadness crying, or time spent in joyous celebration is time that would be better spent paying homage to your Savior as time left to do so is very scant. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.
Note to all: For those who are still wondering about the message regarding guardian angels, please consider this:
Messages from Jesus often come rather swiftly, and there are people moving about and some talking around me that can be somewhat distractive.
Consider this: Llepidus was a Roman soldier, or Llepidus, a Roman soldier!
Erring with just one word, such as was can throw panic into a message!
This one word creates the idea that he was a living being, whereass without the "was", we are better able to draw the conclusion that my guardian angel has the name of someone from history.
This is what my spiritual adviser was able to do for me, to provide discernment.
And make that correction. I for one, was never previously certain we HAD a guardian angel, let alone where/how they got their names. And I had NEVER even heard the name of Lepidus before Jesus said the name. I am not very good I am afraid in History.

VATICAN CITY, JAN. 1, 2006 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI says that terrorism, nihilism and fanatic fundamentalism are the current threats to world peace.
The Pope's words echoed in St. Peter's Basilica on the first day of 2006, crowded with faithful, during his homily on the solemnity of Mary the Mother of God. The Church today also observed World Day of Peace.
"In the face of the situations of injustice and violence that continue to oppress different areas of the earth, in the face of the new and more insidious threats against peace -- terrorism, nihilism and fanatic fundamentalism -- it is more necessary than ever to work together for peace," the Bishop of Rome exclaimed during the homily.

Jan 3 - PERSEVERE IN FASTING
Our Lady has a special request for us in the new year:
Pray as much as possible and fast. You must persevere in prayer and fasting. I wish that the new year be spent in prayer and penance. Persevere in prayer and in sacrifice, for I will protect you and always hear your prayers (First Years December 31, 1982).
Fasting was an ancient practice among the Israelites. The following passage from the Book of Ezra dates from 500 B.C.:
Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river Ahava, that we might deny ourselves before our God, to seek from him a safe journey for ourselves, our children, and all our possessions (Ezr 8:21).
Reflection:
Fasting is perhaps the most difficult teaching from Medjugorje, but its fruits are so astonishing that it deserves our special attention. Consider the following:
Through fasting and prayer, one can stop wars, one can suspend the laws of nature (First Years July 21, 1982).
Pray and fast that the kingdom of God may appear in your midst… (First Years March 14, 1984).
Dear children, today I call on you to begin fasting with your heart… (Weekly Message September 20, 1984).
Live the message of fasting, for by it you will achieve God's plans in Medjugorje… (Weekly Message September 26, 1985).
Pray and fast, for I wish to purify your hearts completely. I wish to make you happy (Locution Jelena & Mir Jana February 14, 1984).
We will look at fasting again later in the year, but for now, it is important for us to recognize it as one of the primary messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje, a message that brings extraordinary gifts of grace to all who practice it.
Application:
Today, make a decision to fast next Friday. It is perfectly all right to begin small perhaps by skipping one meal, foregoing a favorite food, or drinking tea instead of coffee; the important thing is to make a start. Don't forget to offer your fast for one of your prayer intentions.
Medjugorje Day By Day Jan 02 - BECOME MY HERALDS
"Before the Eucharistic mystery, we are moved to verify the truth about our
faith, our hope and our love. We cannot remain indifferent when Christ says: 'I am the living bread, come down from heaven'. Into our minds comes the question He asked: 'Do you believe it is I? Do you really believe?' In light of His words:
'Whoever eats this bread will have eternal life', we cannot not ask ourselves about the meaning and value of our daily lives." It is Jesus "Who sacrificed Himself for the life of the world," "the Lord, Who comes to us in the mystery of the Eucharist" (Pope John Paul II, December 14, 2004).

You must try to bring the presence of God to your families. I think that just being together and loving one another brings peace and joy and strengthens the bond between family members in the home. That is the way to overcome all the evil that is in the world.

I desire that priests proclaim this great mercy of Mine towards souls of sinners. Let the sinner not be afraid to approach Me. The flames of mercy are burning Me-clamoring to be spent; I want to pour them out upon these souls.
Jesus complained to me in these words, Distrust on the part of souls is tearing at My insides. The distrust of a chosen soul causes Me even greater pain; despite My inexhaustible love for them they do not trust Me. Even My death is not enough for them. Woe to the soul that abuses these [gifts]. (50)
When I spoke about this to Mother Superior [Rose, telling her] that God had asked this of me, she answered that Jesus should give some sign so that we could recognize Him more clearly.
When I asked the Lord Jesus for a sign as a proof "that You are truly my God and Lord and that this request comes from You," I heard this interior voice, I will make this all clear to the Superior by means of the graces which I will grant through this image. (51)

Jan 2 - BECOME MY HERALDS
In this message dated Jan 2, 1989, the Madonna calls us to be her heralds:
My dear children, for this year I especially want to tell you: pray! I, your mother, love you. I want to help you and I need your assistance too. I want you to become, dear children, my heralds and my sons who will bring peace, love, and conversion to others. I want you to be a sign for others. In this new year I want to give you peace; I want to give you love and harmony. Abandon all your problems and difficulties to my care. Live my messages. Pray, pray! (Visionary Prayer Group Jan 2, 1989).
And in Matthew's gospel, Christ sends out the twelve apostles to be his heralds:
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions… "As you go, proclaim the good news, `The kingdom of heaven has come near'. Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. You received without payments; give without payment" (Mt 10:5-8).
Reflection:
"As far as we can discern", wrote the psychiatrist Carl Jung, "the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being". Both Christ and Our Lady call us today to kindle that light, to be heralds of God's love and peace.
This is a vital and repeated theme in both scripture and the Medjugorje messages. In the Madonna's weekly message of May 8, 1986, she says:
Dear children, you are the ones responsible for the messages…you are the vessels which convey the gifts…Each one of you shall be responsible according to your own abilities (Weekly Message May 8, 1986).
We have been charged with a special responsibility by Our Lady, one that can bring her peace to many hearts. At the same time, we are enriched by the grace she mediates to be confident and joyous in helping with her great work.
Application:
This week, share the story of Medjugorje with a friend, a coworker, or fellow parishioner. Could you give a presentation in your parish? Is it possible to form a Medjugorje prayer group? Could you lend someone a book or video on the apparitions?

Sunday, Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord—Jan. 2:
"`They fell down and worshipped Him' (Mt 2:11). While the Magi acknowledged and worshipped the baby that Mary cradled in her arms as the One awaited by the nations and foretold by prophets, today we can also worship Him in the Eucharist, and acknowledge Him as our Creator, our only Lord and Savior" (Pope John Paul II, August 6, 2004).
Monday, Most Holy Name of Jesus—Jan. 3:
"All the nations shall come to adore You and glorify Your name, O Lord" (Ps 86:9).

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
Jan 1 - SOLEMNITY OF MARY, MOTHER OF GOD
In October of 1981, the Blessed Virgin gave the following message:
I am the Mother of God and the Queen of Peace (First Years Oct 12, 1981).
And on New Year's Day in 1987, she said:
Dear children, today, the first day of the New Year, I invite all of you to live the messages which I give you. You know, dear children, that because of you, I have stayed here this long in order to teach you to walk on the road to holiness. Therefore, dear children, pray without ceasing and live the messages I am giving you, for I do it with great love towards God and you. (Weekly Message January 1, 1987).
Living anew the messages during the New Years speaks of fresh beginnings. From Paul's letter to the Colossians:
You have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator (Col. 3:9-10),
And from 2 Corinthians:
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new (2 Cor 5:17).
Reflection:
It's appropriate that on this New Year's Day, Our Lady calls us to live her messages anew, for she knows they are the key to the spiritual gifts we so desire, an abiding peace and happiness, a spirit of love.
Living the messages of prayer, peace, penance, and fasting means, as St. Paul says today, to be formed anew in the image of the Creator over time. It means a new perspective, a new attitude toward life and death, where, as Revelation says, "He shall wipe every tear from their eyes", and make all things new.
On this feast of Mary, the Mother of God, let us recommit ourselves to her messages and her plan of salvation, which she is giving us, as she says today, "with great love towards God". In the words of the poet Joseph Krauskoph:
Dawns another year,
Open it aright;
Thou shalt have no fear
In its fading light.
Application:
Today, offer Our Lady a special prayer of commitment to living her messages in this new year. If you have difficulty in living some particular message, ask for the special grace you need to practice it in the year ahead.
This is also the World Day of Prayer for Peace. Offer a rosary for this special intention which Mary emphasizes so much in Medjugorje.
SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH
"Glorious St. Joseph, tenderhearted father, faithful
guardian of Jesus, chaste spouse of the Mother of
God, I ask you to join me in praising God the Father
through His Divine Son who died on the cross and
rose again to give us sinners new life. Through the
Holy Name of Jesus, pray with me that we may obtain
from the eternal Father the favor we ask. (here
state your intention)."
Say this prayer for nine consecutive days.
Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails. Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!
