Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary Protectress of Africa

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Protectress of Africa, you have given to the world the true Light, Jesus Christ. Through your obedience to the Father and the grace of the Holy Spirit, you have given us the source of our reconciliation and our justice, Jesus Christ, our peace and our joy.

Mother of Tenderness and Wisdom, show us Jesus, your Son and the Son of God. Guide our path of conversion, so that Jesus might shine his glory on us in every aspect of our personal, familial and social lives.

Mother, full of Mercy and Justice, through your docility to the Spirit, the Counselor, obtain for us the grace to be witnesses of the Risen Lord, so that we will increasingly become the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

Mother of Perpetual Help, we entrust to your maternal intercession the preparation and fruits of the Second Special Assembly for Africa. Queen of Peace, pray for us! Our Lady of Africa, pray for us!

Olympius, Deacon Possibly a duplicate name, but a deacon in Alexandria, Kemet (Africa), who agreed to the deposition at Alexandria in 321A.D.in a synod of more than one hundred African Kemetian (Egyptian) and Libyan bishops of Heretic priest Arius and his wicked, irreverent henchmen. (One of the holy folk).

Or, I was an ascetic monk in the Nitria Mountain, and especially St. Melania, visited me, as she did so many other monks and nuns in the desert, providing for my and their needs. God has graced me with a tradition that I never lied, swore, and did not in my lifetime abuse any person. I wished no one evil. And I said nothing, which had no effect. I did not speak without it being necessary to do so.

I was able through God’s grace to reclaim swamplands, so that the brothers might grow their own provisions.

God graced me to administer the gathered monasteries containing a thousand brother monks and priests. The Almighty allowed me long life. At 90 years of age, my strength sill endured.

Herbs and roots, and sparse drinking water proved my sustenance. The psalms and prayers my real food for grace.

An angel once appeared to me to inform me of God’s plan, that through His work in me, 10,000 salvations of souls, people would gain faith. The angel told me I would not be lacking for anything, God would provide even up to death, as long as I called upon the Almighty.

At first, I could not really read. But God allowed me the grace to memorize the Scriptures, and then actually read them. The Good Lord graced me to expel evil spirits.
When brother monks visited, I would provide for their hospitality, and resting place, water, and building materials.

Message to Eileen Renders June 28,2009

Sunday, June 28, 2009

Jesus Reminds Us Of The Way To Salvation!

Today we attended the 8:00 AM Mass at our parish, Our Lady Of Sorrows. There I said prayers keeping in mind all those with special needs and intentions. In preparation of receiving the Most precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the sacrament of Holy Communion, I made special offerings to Jesus and Mary and then made an Act of Contrition.

My prayers to Jesus on my knees were to ask Him to remove all thoughts and sights from my mind, other than those that might come from Him. Too, I asked Jesus to keep my heart clear from all thoughts and/or words, other than those that come from Him.

Then with the Most Sacred Host on my tongue, I knelt in silent commune with Jesus and prayed, If it be Your will, speak Lord for Your servant listens. Jesus responded to my heart with the following message:

Note: In my mind's eye, I saw a huge church with many, many empty pews.

Eileen My child, while My church should have standing room only for the sacrifice I offer of My body and blood for the salvation of all, there are too many vacant seats!

My crucifixion and death for the salvation of all is extended and offered each week through the sacrament of Holy Communion for the forgiveness of sins and the way to eternity! Yet with all the absenteeism, it must be said that My sacrifice is not truly appreciated. Therefore in the final hour when you call out My name, how will I know you? Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.

Medjugorje Day By Day July 03 - LEARN TO BE GRATEFUL

"Our Sweet Jesus, through the excess of His love, has left Himself to us in
the Most Holy Sacrament" (St. Philip Neri).

St. Blase, Bishop and Martyr (Armenia) d. 316—Feast, February 3
Invoked for the healing of throat diseases, St. Blase wrote: "Father of mercy
and God of all consolation, graciously look upon me and impart to me the
blessing which flows from this Holy Sacrament [The Eucharist]. Overshadow me with Your loving kindness, and let this divine Mystery bear fruit in me."

Mother Teresa -
Jesus, you have given everything, life, blood, all. Now it is my turn. I put everything into the field also. The common soldier fights in the ordinary lines, but the devoted one tries to be near the captain to share his fate. This is the spirit of Christ.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
I bless God with all my heart who made me meet truly good souls, whom I also told that their souls are God's vineyard: The water-supply is faith; the tower, hope; the wine-press is holy charity, and the hedge is the law of God that separates them from the children world (Letter III p 591).

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
Keeping the fires of enthusiasm going can be an icy proposition
"Hearts would save themselves many sorrows if they knew better the psychology of human feelings. While there is much wisdom in the counsel of Emerson, 'Hitch your wagon to a star,' and to the need of wedding idealism to every ordinary task, there must also be a realization the enthusiasms cool. Those who have been to the North Pole say that the ecstasy at reaching it was very much dampened by the long, weary Arctic winter, during which hidden weaknesses of men begin to appear. As fires died down, quarrelsomeness stole in."

St. Faustina's diary http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html -
To stay at Your feet, O hidden God,

Is the delight and paradise of my soul.

Here, You give me to know You, O incomprehensible One,

And You speak to me sweetly: Give Me, Give Me your heart.

Silent conversation, alone with You,

Is to experience what heavenly beings enjoy,

And to say to God, "I will, I will give You my heart, O Lord,"

While You, O great and incomprehensible One

accept it graciously.

Love and sweetness are my soul's life,

And Your unceasing presence in my soul.

I live on earth in constant rapture,

And like a Seraph I repeat, "Hosanna!"

O You Who are hidden, body, soul, and divinity,

Under the fragile form of bread,

You are my life from Whom springs an abundance of graces;

And, for me, You surpass the delights of heaven.

When You unite Yourself with me in Communion, O God,

I then feel my unspeakable greatness,

A greatness which flows from You, O Lord, I humbly confess,

And despite my misery, with Your help, I can become a saint.

(1718)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

- July 3 - LEARN TO BE GRATEFUL
Learn To Be Grateful The Blessed Mother speaks of gratitude today:

Dear children, I wish to tell you to thank God for
all the graces he has given you. For the many fruits of his grace, praise the Lord and thank him. Dear children, learn to be grateful for all the little things, and then you will be able to give thanks for the great things as well. (Monthly Message 10-3-85)

From Ephesians, more on gratitude:

Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph 5:19-20)

Reflection:

Many years ago a wealthy family in England took their children for a holiday in the country. When the children went swimming in a pool, one of the boys began to drown. The other boys screamed for help and the son of the gardener jumped in and rescued the drowning one. Later, the grateful parents asked the gardener what they could do for the youthful hero. The gardener said his son wanted to go to college. "He wants to be a doctor," he said. The visitors shook hands on that. "We'd be glad to pay his way through," they told him.

When Winston Churchill was stricken with pneumonia after the Teheran conference, the King of England instructed that the best doctor be found to save the Prime Minister. The doctor turned out to be Dr. Fleming, the developer of penicillin. "Rarely," said Churchill to Fleming, "has one man owed his life twice to the same rescuer." It was Fleming who saved Churchill in that pool.

Application:

Today, give thanks in your own words for the Lord's saving grace, which rescues us continually from sin and despondency, freeing us to live in hope and freedom.

Medjugorje Day By Day July 02 - A SONG OF LOVE

"What the blood plasma is to the human body, that of the Eucharist is to the
Mystical Body. In the human body is a lymph flowing through the bloodstream,
carrying a store of provisions which is tapped by each individual cell;
supplying it not only with the food it needs, but also repairing its waste parts.
This flowing tide of sustenance passes by every door, displaying and offering
its goods to its tiny cells, making them all one body because all are nourished
by the same food" (Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen).

"O God-Man present in this sacrament for me—what a comfort, what a privilege
to know I kneel before God! And to think that this God loves me! . . . Mary,
my mother, help me to love him in return." (St. Alphonsus Liguori)

True and solid holiness consists in receiving, as a specialty of Divine Love, everything that can happen to us

Mother Teresa -
The humbler the work, the greater should be your love and efficiency. Be not afraid of the life of sacrifice.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
Give me and preserve in me that faith which makes me believe and work for your love alone. This is the first gift I present to you and, prostrate at Your feet, together with the Holy Magi, I declare with no human respect for the whole world, that You are our true and only God (Epist IV p 978).

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
The test of time will measure true enthusiasm and zeal
"Decisions and resolutions taken during an enthusiastic moment mean little unless tested by time and by waiting. At the beginning of the public life of Our Lord, when many wished to follow Him, He refused to accept them: 'He knew what was in man.' The immediate request for places on the right and left side of the kingdom by James and John He ordered tested by the ability to bear sacrifice and to drink the cup of His Passion and Crucifixion."

St. Faustina's diary http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html -

On my way to the veranda, I went into the chapel for a moment. My heart was plunged in profound adoration, praising God's incomprehensible goodness and His mercy. Then I heard these words in my soul: I am and will be for you such as you praise Me for being. You shall experience My goodness, already in this life and then, to the full, in the life to come. (1707)

O Christ, I am most delighted when I see that You are loved, and that Your praise and glory resound, especially the praise of Your mercy. O Christ, to the last moment of my life, I will not stop glorifying Your goodness and mercy. With every drop of my blood, with every beat of my heart, I glorify Your mercy. I long to be entirely transformed into a hymn of Your glory. When I find myself on my deathbed, may the last beat of my heart be a loving hymn in praise of Your unfathomable mercy. (1708)

Today I saw the glory of God which flows from the image. Many souls are receiving graces, although they do not speak of it openly. Even though it has met up with all sorts of vicissitudes, God is receiving glory because of it; and the efforts of Satan and of evil men are shattered and come to naught. In spite of Satan's anger, The Divine Mercy will triumph over the whole world and will be worshiped by all souls. (1789)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.
-

July 2 - A SONG OF LOVE

The foundation of the Medjugorje messages, and of the Christian life itself, is love:

Dear children, today I call you to a love which is loyal and pleasing to God. Little children, your love should bear all that is bitter and difficult for the sake of Jesus, who is love. And so, dear children, pray that God may come to your aid—but not according to your wishes, but in accord with his loving plans for you. Surrender yourselves to God so that he may heal you, console you, and forgive everything inside of you which hinders you on the way of love. In this way, God can mold your life and you will grow in love. Dear children, glorify God with a song of love so that his love may grow in you day by day to its fullness.

(Monthly Message 6-25-88)

Paul also emphasizes love as the one thing necessary:

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Cor 13:4-7)

Reflection:

Having discussed spiritual gifts earlier in his letter, Paul now focuses on the core of spirituality: love. No matter what gift a person has, if he or she does not express love in using that gift, then whatever is done is empty.

The greatest measure of spirituality is the extent to which Christ like love fills our lives. This is not a love that we can muster up within ourselves; it is a supernatural love given by the Holy Spirit. In this context, the Virgin could say to Jelena: "Pray unceasingly to Jesus, that he fill your heart with love." For Paul, our love is central to all that we do, for it is the foundation of spirituality. The more intimately we know and love Christ, the more love will grow in our hearts.

Application:
In her message today, the Madonna equates growth in love with surrender to God. This day, then, surrender yourself again to God (for surrender is an ongoing process, like conversion), so his love will take deeper root in your heart.

Medjugorje Day By Day July 01 - A SPECIAL DAY

Why are we not surprised?

Excerpt:
""You don't have to be competent to make the decision....."

"Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My mercy," Jesus told St. Maria Faustina of the Blessed Sacrament, "Adore, in the Blessed Sacrament, My Heart, which is full of mercy." "I want Adoration to take place . . . for the intention of imploring Mercy for the world." (Divine Mercy Diary, 300, 1572, & 1070)

Mother Teresa -
We stand before the world as ambassadors of peace by preaching the message of love in action that crosses all barriers of nationality, creed, or country.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
God does not want you to experience the feeling of love for Him and your neighbor in a perceptible manner… How fortunate we are to be held so tightly to our heavenly tutor! We need do no more than we are doing at present; that is to love divine Providence and abandon ourselves in His arms and heart.

No, my God, I desire no greater pleasure than my faith, my hope, my love; to be able only to say sincerely, even if sometimes without feeling, that I would rather die than abandon this virtue (Letters III p 425).

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
Burnout comes fast for those who are not sincere
"When, after multiplying the bread, the multitude wished to make Christ a bread king, Our Lord fled into the mountains alone. Economic kingships last only while the bread is plentiful and the circuses are in the playgrounds. It is always a good policy never to choose the most enthusiastic person in a gathering as a leader. Wait to see how much wood there is for the flame."

St. Faustina's diary http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html -
When, during adoration, I repeated the prayer, "Holy God" several times, a vivid presence of God suddenly swept over me, and I was caught up in spirit before the majesty of God. I saw how the Angels and the Saints of the Lord give glory to God.

The glory of God is so great that I dare not try to describe it, because I would not be able to do so, and souls might think that what I have writtenis all there is. Saint Paul, I understand now why you did not want to describe heaven, but only said that eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him [cf. 1 Corinthians 2:9; 2 Corinthians 12:1-7].

Yes, that is indeed so. And all that has come forth from God returns to Him in the same way and gives Him perfect glory. Now I have seen the way in which I adore God; oh, how miserable it is! And what a tiny drop it is in comparison to that perfect heavenly glory. O my God, how good You are to accept my praise as well, and to turn Your Face to me with kindness and let us know that our prayer is pleasing to You. (1604)

Oh, how greatly I desire the glory of Your mercy-for me, bitterness and suffering! When I see the glory of Your mercy, I am immeasurably happy. Let all disgrace, humiliation and abasement come down upon me, as long as the glory and praise of Your mercy resounds everywhere-that's all that matters. (1691)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

July 1 - A SPECIAL DAY
Our Lady speaks of talents to Jelena's prayer group:

Each of you has a special gift which is your own, and can alone understand it interiorly. (Locutionist Jelena Message 7-85)

And in Romans, Paul urges the people to utilize their gifts: We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us:

prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness (Romans 12:6-8)

Reflection:

Looking at Paul's list of talents, we can imagine the kinds of people who would have each gift. For instance, prophets are often bold and articulate; servers are faithful and loyal; teachers are clear thinkers; preachers know how to motivate others. Givers are generous and trusting, while administrators are good organizers and managers. Comforters are sympathetic and have a natural ability to listen.

It would be impossible for one person to embody all these gifts. An assertive prophet would not usually make a good counselor, and a generous giver might fail as an administrator.

Once you have identified your own gifts (and Paul's list is far from complete), ask yourself how you can use them to God's glory. Aware that your gifts cannot do the work of your local church alone, give thanks for the people whose gifts are completely different from your own. Let your strengths balance their deficiencies, and vice versa, so that we can all build up Christ's church together.

Application:
Identify at least one talent that you can use in the Lord's service.

Message to Carol Ameche June 14, 2009

External locution through Carol at Ameche Prayer Group, June 14, 2009

My dearest children, I am your Eucharistic Lord, your Jesus of Mercy, your Savior and your King. I bring the joy of all in Heaven today, united with My Sacred Heart for you everywhere in the world, most especially those who are faithful to My Eucharistic Presence in My Blessed Sacrament; and I invite you once again to come as often as possible, to stay as long as you can and to absorb the gifts I need to give you.

It is closer than ever to events that you await and pray about and prepare for. How you receive these words with mixed emotions, My dear people! It is understood by all of Heaven. You cannot see your souls shining as I can see them. You cannot see that I have poured out My blood upon you this day, that I am blessing you now everywhere in the world. The events for which you wait, My children, are not something you will wish to have hurried along. When you see them, you will understand.

You know I am not trying to frighten you, My dear children, My dear, dear ones. I only wish to draw you into My Sacred Heart, to hide you there, to protect you there, and to remind you of this once again. The world boils. Satan is given so much power. Heaven has more. You are given so much grace.

Heaven has more. I pour out Eucharistic grace upon each of you this day, and I thank you for your fidelity again and again and again. You are My Eucharistic people. You do prepare for My Eucharistic reign. How you have grown, My children! How happy you make your Father, your Lord, your Savior, your Sanctifier, your Holy Mother!

I know you are preparing, and I urge you once again to stay faithful and faithfully focused on the events for which you prepare. It is not to think in a negative way, My people; but it is the life of a soldier, a warrior. It is the life of one who listens and obeys. I pour out new obedience upon you this day, lovingly, longingly. I hold you close to My heart this day, each of you everywhere. I confer upon you blessings and protection and courage and bravery as one going into war.

I call you forth as combatants on the battlefield. I call you forth as My precious little ones. My children, We are one. I love you so much. Never tire of hearing that. You will overcome, My children, everything. Each of you who remain faithful will remain more faithful. I give you this long-suffering, this perseverance for this waiting this day. Believe it is given. Believe it is blossoming in your heart and your soul, in your will.

I love you. You are Mine. You are Mine. You are Mine!! Be at peace, My children. Praise the Father and thank Him. Praise the Father together. We praise you Father, and we thank you. (Here the entire group joined in with We praise you, Father, and we thank You numerous times over) Amen. Amen. Amen. Thank you children. Amen." Carol Ameche

Message from Our Blessed Mother to Jorge Zavala

June 17, 2009 St. Bruno’s Church, San Bruno, CA

Dear little children,

Thank you for being with me. Little children, just as nature is transformed with the warmth of the sun, so may you permit the light of the Lord to illumine every corner of your being. With your good deeds you will overcome the evil that desires to take a hold on you.

As children of God, you have obtained the mercy of my Son and as His disciples you have been called to forgive as well. Open your hearts to forgiveness; in this way you will begin to walk on the path on which I desire to guide you. Do not be afraid. I love you and I am with you.

I bless you and may the peace of the Lord remain in your hearts.

SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH

"Glorious St. Joseph, tenderhearted father, faithful
guardian of Jesus, chaste spouse of the Mother of
God, I ask you to join me in praising God the Father
through His Divine Son who died on the cross and
rose again to give us sinners new life. Through the
Holy Name of Jesus, pray with me that we may obtain
from the eternal Father the favor we ask. (here
state your intention)."

Say this prayer for nine consecutive days.

Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails). Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!
