Dear Friends,
Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.
Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, .Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: .Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,. which means .God is with us.. When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home. He had no relations with her until she bore a son, and he named him Jesus.. Matthew 1:18.25
Now follows a message from Our Blessed Mother addressed to Joseph. She spoke to him in these words, My greatest joy was to be the Mother of Jesus, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. The Father had selected Me even before My birth to bring the Messiah into the world. He had been promised for centuries and My people were waiting for His coming. When the angel came to announce to Me that I would be the Mother of the Messiah, I did not understand fully at the beginning but when he explained how it was to be, I simply gave My fiat. in these words, Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to Me according to your word.
My husband Joseph did not understand what was happening until the angel appeared to him in a dream and told him that I was with child through the Holy Spirit and that he should take Me to be his wife. He did as the angel told him.
It was in Bethlehem in a stable that I gave birth to the Christ-child. At His birth there were great happenings to show that this child was the Son of the Father. We were surrounded by angels who sang beautifully.
A star appeared in the sky and lighted the whole place and the shepherds came to give homage to the newborn child. I call you all to come to the crib and see your Savior just born. May He be born and live in your heart every day.

This morning while in Church before MASS while praying in front of the BLESSED SACRAMENT I received the following message from my Guardian Angel. This was highly usual because I think this is the first time that my Guardian Angel has given me a message that he wants passed on.
He told me that we are fortunate to live in these times. That the return of JESUS is very close. That we need to draw close, very, very close to JESUS and MARY and keep our focus on them. That we can stay close to them by praying the ROSARY and DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET.
That the events that are coming will cause many to become so frightened that they will lose all hope. That when these events happen we are to hold our heads high with complete confidence that OUR PRAYERS WILL BE ANSWERED THROUGH MARY TO JESUS.
That we are to never, never let the evil one see us flee from the field of battle (PRAYER). That the remnant that Our Lady has been forming will be called onto the field of battle like never before. That Our Lady will directing the battle (ROSARY) and that we are to stay close to HER.
THAT SHE WILL LEAD US TO CERTAIN VICTORY. THAT SHE WILL BE VICTORIOUS AND THAT SHE WILL CRUSH THE devil's head. That we are to keep this thought with us as we assist Our Lady as SHE directs us on the field of battle and that we are to never, never let OUR GENERAL, OUR LADY see us run (stop praying the ROSARY and DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET) from the field of battle.

Dear children, rejoice with me! My heart is rejoicing because of Jesus and today I want each one of you to open your hearts to Jesus and I will give him to you with love.
Dear children, I want him to change you, to teach you, and to protect you. Today I am praying in a special way for each one of you and I am presenting you to God so he will manifest himself in you.
I am calling you to sincere prayer with the heart so that every prayer of yours may be an encounter with God. In your work and in your everyday life put God in the first place.
I call you today with great seriousness to obey me and to do as I am calling you (Monthly Message Dec 25, 1987).
The Christmas narrative continues with the flight into Egypt:
Now after they had left, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him".
Then Joseph got up, took the child and his mother by night, and went to Egypt, and remained their until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, "Out of Egypt I have called my son" (Mt 2:13-15).
Reflection:
Mary says to us today, "My heart is rejoicing because of Jesus and today I want to offer him to you".
Faced with the love of Christ and his Mother, we are inspired in turn to be loving and generous ourselves. To love is catching, especially in this holy season. One example:
A report from an elementary school near Chicago tells about a Christmas pageant held in the school. A third grader was the innkeeper. He had only one line to say; "Sorry. There is no room in the inn". But the little boy entered into the spirit of the play and said his part with real feeling. And then, as Mary and Joseph turned away to leave, the little fellow called out, "Come back, Joseph. I'll give you my room"! (Anonymous).
Application:
Like the little boy, allow yourself to be swept away by love during these days.

How many times has He not lovingly invited us also. And with what promptitude have we replied. My God I blush and am filled with confusion at having to reply to such a question.

In this Christmas season, Our Lady seeks to lead us further in love:
Dear children, I wish to thank all of you who have heeded my messages and who, on Christmas Day, have put into practice what I asked of you. Undefiled by sin from now on, I wish to deepen your love even further. And so, abandon your hearts to me! (Weekly Message Dec 26, 1985).
The story of the Magi speaks of love expressing itself in giving:
When they had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy. On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Mt 2: 9-12).
Reflection:
As our readings illustrate today, Christmas is the great season of love and giving. The Magi, awed by the miracle of God coming into the world as a helpless infant, responded by offering him their most precious gifts.
This spirit of giving is captured in this passage from Frank O'Connor's, An Only Child:
One Christmas, Santa Claus brought me a toy engine. I took it with me to the convent, and played with it while mother and the nuns discussed old times. But it was a young nun who brought us in to see the crib.
When I saw the Holy Child in the manger, I was distressed because little as I had, he had nothing at all. For me it was fresh proof of the incompetence of Santa Claus.
I asked the young nun politely if the Holy Child didn't like toys, and she replied composedly enough, "Oh, he does, but his mother is too poor to afford them." That settled it. My mother was poor too, but at Christmas she at least managed to buy me something even if it was only a box of crayons.
I distinctly remember getting into the crib and putting the engine between his outstretched arms. I probably showed him how to wind it as well, because a small baby like that would not be clever enough to know. I remember too the tearful feeling of reckless generosity with which I left him there in the nightly darkness of the chapel, clutching my toy to his chest.
Application:
Today, simply reflect in prayer on the gifts you have received from the Lord. In what way can you share them.

Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails. Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!

James Wesly Smith is an attorney and writer/producer of more than 30 audio visual film projects on the Black Genesis of Christianity, with an emphasis on the Early African Liturgical Churches.
