Abuna Frumentius of Ethiopia, Archbishop of Abyssinia, Ethiopia. (380 A.D.). (note . Frumentius, also known as Abuna, DID NOT BECOME THE FIRST TO EVANGELIZE THEIOPIA/CUSH/NUBIA. That was done by the Ethiopian Eunuch (chrysanthius Eunuchus) of the Kandake, Queen Candace. See Acts.) Also apostle Matthew was among the first to preach Christ in Ethiopia. Frumentius and his helpers reinforced Christianity, already laid by Our Lord and Our Lord’s apostle(s), some 350, plus years prior to Abuna Frumentius.
Although I was born in at Tyre (modern Sur, Lebanon), I am called an Apostle to Ethiopia; Abuna of Ethiopia; Father of Ethiopia. I studied under Meropius, the philosopher. Aedeius was my brother.
A Red Sea ship cruise resulted in the vessel wrecking o n Abyssinian/Ethiopic shoreline. My brother and myself survived. Soldiers captured us, delivering us to king of capital city of Aksum (which had formerly been ruled by Queens, called Kandake).
After a time, we were invited to join the court administration. I became a government minister, like a modern secretary.
When the king died, we joined the succeeding Queen's court. She allowed us to evangelize Christianity, which had been previously brought by Eunuch, St. Phillip, Matthew, and Nathaniel.
I petitioned another African Archbishop Athanasius at Alexandria for additional help. He consecrated me bishop at Ethiopia. Through our efforts(with brother Aedesius) converts included princes Ezana and Sheazana.
I died in peacefully, around 380 A.D. . (Western Liturgical Church), 27 Oct. and November 30

GALASIUS I, I am Gelasius (Galasius), the African born in Rome, Latin Rite Pope. I was elected as chief priest of the Latin Church, Archbishop of Rome, in 492 A.D. and among the first serving as Vicar of Christ. Previously, I served as Felix the Third’s archdeacon.
My administration saw stresses n relations with The Eastern Emperor of the formerly Roman empire, Anastasius I.
I taught the separation of spiritual and earthly powers. The former is superior the temporal later. I despised teachings with which I vehemently disagreed (e.g. the Henoticon).
I banned Christian involvement in the Lupercalia, pagan celebration. And, yes, I caused to be torched the books of the Manichean heresies. The 5th century year 496 A.D. saw the sunset of my life.

Medjugorje Day By Day Dec 14 - LEARNING TO LOVE
These are words of Fr. Slavko from 5/18/85:
"Why fast? You can find a lot of reading on fasting, but I am telling you: just start. Fasting is like prayer, it is a duty for us as Christians because both Jesus, Mary and all the saints fasted. And St. Francis, do you know how many days he fasted? This fasting means: living on bread alone for a whole day.
This is very important, because one then gradually learns to live a simple life, one begins to realize that we have sufficient, that we do not have to worry, and to be anxious, and besides this, it is also a help to resist our continual longing always to have more. But the best thing to do is: start fasting, and then you will see. But in order to fast more easily, it is necessary also to pray. "

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.
Dec 14 - LEARNING TO LOVE
During Advent of 1984 Our Lady gave the following message:
Dear children, you know that the day of joy is approaching but without love you will receive little. First, then, start loving your family and everyone in the parish; then you will be able to love and accept all those who come here. Let these seven days be a week of learning to love.
This Christmas will be unforgettable if you follow me. Disconnect your television sets and radios, and begin God's program: meditation, prayer, reading the Gospels. Prepare yourselves with faith; then, having understood love, your life will be filled with happiness (Weekly Message Dec 13, 1984).
Reflection:
The Blessed Virgin says, not surpassingly, that love is the whole context of Christmas, "the season of Joy", and it is prepared for simply by loving first or own family, and then our neighbor. "Learn to love", she urges us. But how? Today's reading from John's gospel is telling: "They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them."
Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, how is that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." (Jn 14:21-23).
How then "to learn to love"? Christ first speaks to us of keeping his commandments, of being fair and decent with all people. Second, his appeal to "love one another as I loved you" (Jn 15:12) means that Jesus' own life is our primary example for learning to live. Like him, loving means to help, to heal, to enlighten, and above all, to love even sacrificially, as his own life testifies.
The Gospels, then, which relate the life of Christ, are a canvas on which is painted the many hues and shades of his love. Our Lady asks that we carefully examine that portrait, and with her messages to help us, to live out her Son's love in our own lives.
Application:
Spend some time today reflecting on how you see Jesus loving in the Gospels. What were his actions of love? His words of love? How can I imitate his love in my own life? What action or word of love can I give to another today?
Vision to littlest of servants December 13, 2008
This vision I received on December 12 but I had trouble with it. I wanted to make sure because it is powerful.
While in Church before Mass and after Mass again I was given the following vision.
I saw missiles flying through the air and they had something written on them but I could not tell what they said.
I then saw a map of the United States and I saw explosions on the map.
I then saw the countries of India and Pakistan and I saw explosions all over these two countries but especially Pakistan.
I then saw missiles flying in the air again and I could now read what was written on them.
They said the FRUIT OF ABORTION IS NUCLEAR WAR.
I then saw a map of the world and I saw explosions across it in many different countries.
The explosions I could clearly now see were mushroom clouds, the kind of explosions you see after an atomic bomb is dropped.
JESUS then spoke and told me that this is what the devil and the evil people who were following him were planning. That we needed to PRAY, PRAY, PRAY.
I was having so much trouble dealing with this and I was imploring that JESUS HAVE MERCY ON US ALL.
JESUS then spoke again and told me with enough PRAYERS WORLD EVENTS CAN BE MITIGATED AND THAT THE COURSE OF HUMAN HISTORY CAN BE CHANGED.
I ask that we all pray as much and as hard we can. Offer all your prayers through Our Mother's Most IMMACULATE HEART to JESUS.
Pray especially the ROSARY AND THE DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET.
JESUS WILL NOT REFUSE HIS MOTHER!!!

To prevent this I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of reparation of the First Saturdays. If my requests are heard, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecution of the Church. The good will suffer martyrdom; the Holy Father will suffer much; different nations will be annihilated. But in the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph.

Then soon you will see my triumph as I cast the evil ones into Hell and I will raise up my faithful in a new paradise on Earth. Your birth pangs must be suffered before you can share in my glory."

Jesus said: "My people, I have asked you to note the signs in the sky and this red orange color is a sign of further wars to come on the earth. Pray for peace that the seriousness of these wars will be mitigated.
You will see greater signs than this to show you that the end times are coming. You have other signs in your storms, fires, and earthquakes to see how unusual they have become."

"This is now the second letter that I have written to you, beloved, and in both of them I have aroused your sincere mind by way of reminder; that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles.

But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace." (Cf. 2Pe 3:1-14)

James Wesly Smith is an attorney and writer/producer of more than 30 audio visual film projects on the Black Genesis of Christianity, with an emphasis on the Early African Liturgical Churches. His 30 year effort resulted in the reference tome, Black Saints, Mystics, Holy Folk, (Ancient African Liturgical Church) Volume I, and II detailing Black involvement in the Church from before 1 A.D.
