Idea inspired by Ecclesia de Eucharistia to help celebrate the Year of the
Eucharist:
"Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life" (Jn
6:68)."Here [in the Holy Eucharist] is the Church's treasure, the heart of the world,
the pledge of the fulfilment for which each man and woman, even unconsciously,
yearns" (59). Plan a parish mission on the awesome gift of the Holy Eucharist
and graces and benefits of Eucharistic Adoration for all.
"During Our Lord's earthly life, 'He went about doing good, and healing . ..' (Acts 10:38). These works of love He still performs in our souls through the Holy Eucharist" (Fr. Lukas Etlin, O.S.B.).

That same day, when I was in church waiting for confession, I saw the same rays issuing from the monstrance and spreading throughout the church. This lasted all through the service. After the Benediction. [the rays shone out] to both sides and returned again to the monstrance. Their appearance was bright and transparent like crystal. I asked Jesus that He deign to light the fire of His love in all souls that were cold. Beneath these rays a heart will grow warm even if it were like a block of ice; even if it were hard as a rock, it will crumble into dust. (370)

OCT 7 - OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY
Of the rosary, Our Lady said :
Dear children, today I invite you to begin to pray the rosary with a living faith. Only in that way will be able to help you. You wish to receive graces, but you do not pray. I am not able to help you if you do not decide to begin.
I invite you, dear children, to pray the rosary in such a way that it will be a commitment for you, achieved in joy. In this way, you will understand the reason why I have been with you for such a long time. I want to teach you to pray (Weekly Message June 12, 1986).
In Luke's gospel, the risen Christ joins his disciples on the road to Emmaus :
Then he said to them, "Oh, how foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have declared! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and then enter into his glory?" Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures.
As they came near the village to which they were going, he walked ahead as if he were going on. But they urged him strongly, saying, "Stay with us, because it is almost evening and the day is now nearly over." So he went to stay with them. When he was at the table with them he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight. They said to each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?" That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together (Lk 24 :25-33).
Reflection:
In this story we find that the risen Christ "interpreted for them every passage of scripture which referred to him," so that his disciples would understand the meaning of his life, death, and resurrection.
In meditating on the mysteries of the rosary, Jesus also helps us to interpret and understand the meaning of his life and death. And today Our Lady as well says to, "let the faithful meditate each day on the life of Jesus while praying the rosary." It is not necessary to concentrate on the repetitive prayers of the rosary (which serve as a type of mantra), but to let the quiet rhythm of the prayers keep us centered on the particular mystery on which we are meditating.
The more we reflect on the lives of Jesus and Mary through the mysteries, the more we become like them in mind and heart. By means of the rosary, the Spirit of God gradually transfigures our hearts and minds to resemble those of Christ and his Mother.
Application:
Pray the scriptural rosary if you have a book with the verses, or if not, pray the traditional rosary truly from the heart, "meditating on the life of Jesus," as Mary asks of us.

OCT 6 - PRAY AND RENEW YOURSELVES
Today the Blessed Mother speaks of prayer, love, and the rosary:
The rosary is not an ornament for the home, as some often times limit themselves to using it. Tell everyone to pray it (First Years March 18, 1985).
All your prayers touch me very much, especially your daily rosary (Special Message March 18, 1987).
Dear children, I thank you because by your coming here you have helped to fulfill the plan of God. During this time, pray and renew yourselves. Tonight when you go home, pray the Joyful Mysteries in front of the cross (Visionary Prayer Group March 3, 1989).
And in Ephesians, Paul prays for his people :
I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him (Eph 1:15-17).
Reflection:
It has been said that prayer is the most exalted action of which man is capable. In Medjugorje, the Madonna speaks especially of the prayer of the rosary: "Pray, and let the rosary always be in your hands as a sign to Satan that you belong to me." Of the rosary, Fr. Slavko Barbaric once said in a sermon :
Why these one hundred and fifty Hail Mary's? It is simple, really. In the rosary, Our Lady calls us to a form of prayer which is very suitable the present time repetitive, meditative, and biblical.
When you start praying the rosary with your heart, you start learning from Our Lady how you should behave in this life : for example, accepting the Lord's will, as Mary did herself at the Annunciation; or thinking of others, as she did when she visited Elizabeth. The rosary is a means of living with Jesus and his Mother, teaching us about the Christian life.
Application:
Today, pray the rosary which the Mother of God so ardently recommends.

L. began to receive a message from God and said, "Jesus, please cover me with Your Most Precious Blood."(and other various prayers used for testing the spirits)
Then Father God spoke, "Your country is infested with military from a land NOT OF ME! What you will see next is soldiers everywhere in a strange looking uniform. They will target your military academies , i.e., Air Force in Colorado, Army in New York, Navy in Maryland, and all bases around your country.
They are ruthless men whose only concern is to destroy all people who believe in Me and follow Me. Around your country are thousands of detention camps, to be used to torture you for your faith. Pray for great strength and hold out until the end and Heaven awaits My faithful ones! Be strong and help one another.
These men, this, the devil's army, surrounds you for not all are in uniform.
Those of you who wear symbols of Me or of Mary are at even greater risk. I AM WITH YOU UNTIL THE END- - -I WILL NEVER LEAVE MY OWN!!!
All must happen to separate the wheat from the chaff. Be prepared in all the ways I have told you. Extremely little time is left! My words ARE being lived. Amen!"

The following message was recorded as received at the Friday night canyon rosary at Mary's Knoll.
My children,
My Son seeks humility of spirit in each of His children. The humble soul pleases Him and gains its heavenly reward as it goes about this earth quietly doing the will of God.
Allow yourself to be humble, to be humble before all men that you might find great favor with God. These times My little ones require much courage and that courage comes thru your prayers, your humility and your love for God and His children.
Embrace life, embrace life with joy... for what you do not see upon this earth... what is invisible to you now... you will one day see how embracing life today will bring glory to you... but more glory to My Son whom you serve. Do not shy away from the troubles and turmoil ‘ s that confront you, but be meek and humble of Heart for great... shall be your reward.
