BLACK SAINTS OF THE DAY

Alexander of Gaza, Romulus (subdeacon) of Diopolis, Paesis (Pausis), Alexander of Kemet, Agapius, and Dionysius— beheaded after declaring their Christianity. (In Palestine) 24 March 303 A.D.

Alexander, Deacon Possibly a duplicate name, but a deacon in Alexandria, Kemet (Africa), who agreed to the deposition at Alexandria in 321A.D.in a synod of more than one hundred African Kemetian (Egyptian) and Libyan bishops of Heretic priest Arius and his wicked, irreverent henchmen. (One of the holy folk).

ALEXANDER, CONFESSOR, PATRIARCH OF ALEXANDRIA

I am St Alexander. I followed Achillas in the see (church headquarters) of Alexandria in 313 A.D..

I cared for the poor, in my mild mannered way. In administrative positions, I somewhat favored monks who had lived in solitude for Church positions.

Sadly during my administration, the Alexandrian priest Arius joined Meletius, Bishop of Lycopolis. Meletius broke away from Peter, the Alexandrian patriarch in 300 A.D..
But Meletius returned to the faith.

Patriarch Peter took Meletius back, after he repented. And ordained Arius deacon. Arius returned to his usurper ways, causing problems in working for the Meletians.

Peter excommunicated Arius. But Achillas took him back after he repented. Then made him a priest, curator of a church in the Baucales region of Alexandria.

Arius denied Yeshua as God. Father Athanasius told us that Arius claimed Yeshua other than his created divinity, or spiritual substance, was made before the world:

Colluthus, a curator of Alexandria with others attacked the blasphemies of Arius and his followers (called Arians). Folks called Catholics, Colluthians.

I tried to gently persuade Arius back to truth.

Colluthus was not pleased with my lenient behavior of Arius. He precipitated. But soon he returned to the fold of Holy Mother Church.

Learning that the followers of Arius were increasing, I called Arius before the clergy as a group. His rantings were intolerable. I excommunicated him around the latter part of 320 A.D..

A group of 100 or more bishops agreed with me in a council at Alexandria. The synod condemned him and his followers, calling anathema condemned by the synod.

I wrote to Pope Sylvester about the problems Arius was causing. Even Emperor Constantine intervened to inquire about the matters.

I sat in on the First Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. 26 Feb. I went home to Yeshua’s judgment, 326 A.D.

I brought Athanasius to the meetings which discussed Arius, who was exiled. I died 26 Feb. 326 A.D. Athanasius succeeded me.

Alexander the Bishop, Heraclius, Anna, Elizabeth, Theodota and Glyceria, at Adrianopolis (2nd or 3rd. century), martyr. 22 Oct.

Alexander and 40 Others, Martyrs beheaded at Carthage (3rd century), April 10.

Alexander of Kemet, Paesis (Pausis), Romulus (subdeacon) of Diopolis, Paesis (Pausis), Alexander of Kemet, another Alexander of Gaza, Agapius, and Dionysius— beheaded after declaring our Christianity. (In Palestine) 24 March 303 A.D.

Alexander, Paulus, Solutor, Theodulus, Theohilus, Octavius, Petronius, and Manilus. Martyrs at Carthage, 15 March

Alexander the Soldier of Kemet (Egypt), martyr July 9
converted and martyred with Patermuthius (Petarpemotis), Copres, and Alexander.

I, Patermuthius, was a 75 years old, Kemetian hermit. I was originally a robber. My follower and converter, the monk Copres (Copri) and I were arraigned by Julian the Apostate. Torture weakened Copri. We were thrown into the furnace. 4th century, 9 July, 17 Dec.

Alexander, Cronion, Julian, Macarius, and 13 companions at Alexandria, Martyrs. 30 Oct.

Alexander, Secundianus, Quartus, Victorianus, Januarius, Medianus, Adauctus, Denecutia, Maximianus, Proculus, Afranus, Audactus, and Deodatus. Martyrs in Africa. 14 May.

Alexander, martyr, Tribune of Theban Legion

Alexander, Romulus, Acutus, Pinnarius, Marulus, Successus, Misias, Matutina, Donatus, Successa, Solutor, and Saturninus. We were martyred in Africa, 27 March.

Alexandra of Alexandria, Bishop, martyred in 311 A.D. I attacked some of Origen’s principles, according to Leontius of Byzantium and Roman Emperor Justinian. 3 March.

ALEXANDER, In Alexandria, Kemet about 250 A.D. I suffered martyrdom during the terror and persecutions of Decius. 12 Dec.

Alexandra, I am a maidservant and hermitess. For 10 years, I lived in a tomb with food and drink delivered to me by one kind woman. In penance, I wished to see no one, as a man previously had been lustful because of God’s visage gift to me.

Spinning flax, I prayed from early morning, until hour nine. I spun flax, meditating on the lives, teachings, and examples of the apostles, martyrs, patriarchs, and prophets.

Melania the Elder used to visit me, but I did not see her. We only spoke. I died in my sleep. 15 Sept.

Alexandria Martyrs 261 A.D. 356 A.D. 390 A.D. 342 A.D.

Alexandrian Martyrs martyred in the Church of Theonas, Alexandria. We died in 372 A.D. Tradition says we were of both sexes who were killed or exiled from Alexandria during Athansius’ exile (the fifth time) by Emperor Valens the Arian. 13 May.

"Marriage is of very great importance"

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Dear Friends,

“Some Pharisees approached Jesus, and tested him, saying, ‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?’ He said in reply, ‘Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female and said, for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?’

So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no man can separate.” Matthew 19: 3 – 6

We had a very beautiful day yesterday with sunshine the whole day and no clouds in the sky. It was cool in the morning but the temperature was great in the afternoon. It is very sunny this morning just like yesterday.

I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the little shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. In the evening I was at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, for the prayer meeting. It started at 8:00 p.m. and ended at 9:00 p.m. A good group turned up and I am sure that all were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Today I will celebrate Holy Mass at 7:00 p.m. in the little shrine and some visitors from away will be present. There will be a Healing Mass here on Friday, September 6, at 7:30 p.m. and at 7:00 p.m. we will have the rosary. Everyone is welcome.

Here is another message of Our Lord to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him saying, “Marriage is of great importance to God. He created the first two human beings male and female and gave them a commandment: ‘Multiply and fill the earth.’ It is in the context of marriage that children are to be born.

They need a stable home with a father and a mother. This is why marriage is between one man and one woman and it is to last until death. I came and lived with you to teach you the truth so that you could be saved.

I did teach about marriage and today it is a sacrament instituted by Me. For Christians, marriage is sacred and all My followers are to receive this sacrament before they live together as husband and wife.

It is a fact that governments and society are destroying marriage by all the nonsense they have started. Society says that there is nothing wrong if men and women live together without marriage. Governments have legalized homosexual unions, which goes directly against marriage.

They allow divorce even though the Father has forbidden it. No wonder with all this going on around you that nearly fifty percent of marriages do not last. Divorce is the cause of much pain and suffering in the world today.

Marriage is of very great importance in My eyes. It is important for those who are married to work hard together with Me to make their marriage work. You need to pray together so I may come and live with you in your home.

You need to sit together often and discuss your problems and difficulties in a reasonable way. Call on Me and I will help you. I want all of you to have a happy marriage with children.”

Jesus Asks Us To Trust In Him

Today I spent time alone with Jesus saying a rosary for all those with
special needs and intentions. I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and
prayed

Speak Lord (if it be His will), Your servant listens.

Once again Jesus showed me a Market place that way filled with people shoulder
to shoulder. Each scurrying about in search of food, money, some comfort and
security.

Jesus spoke saying; Eileen My child, I tell you truly, Those who come to Me in
trust with their burdens will have all their needs taken care of. Go in peace to
love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters.

Message from JESUS to littlest of servants August 27, 2008

Many wonder about my Church and the problems that lie within her. I tell you
that the problems that exist are due to MY priests, bishops, and cardinals.
Many have left ME.

JESUS SOVEREIGN KING

JESUS wants all to read John 12:43 to understand.

MY DEAR DEAR PRECIOUS LITTLE CHILDREN,

IT IS UPON YOU DEAR CHILDREN, THAT TIME WHEN YOU ARE ASKED TO FINALIZE
YOUR PREPARATION AND MAKE READY FOR JESUS. YOU WILL BE IN AWE OF ALL
THAT AWAITS YOU AND YOU WILL RECALL MY URGINGS.

WHEN YOU PRAY, REMAIN OPEN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT. HE WILL MAKE MANY
VISITS THAT YOU KNOW WHAT IS TRUTH AND HOLD TO IT. THE TRUTH WILL BE
ON YOUR TONGUES AND IN YOUR HEARTS. IT WILL BE FOR YOU A REALIZATION
OF YOUR DEEP FAITH. OH HOW BLESSED YOU ARE.

DEAR CHILDREN, AS WE PRAY THIS NIGHT, I CALL YOU INTO THE REFUGE OF MY
HEART. I AM FOR ALL TIMES AND I AM FOR YOU NOW. LISTEN ALWAYS
CAREFULLY, THAT WHAT I REVEAL TO YOU WILL BRING YOU AWARE AND READY
FOR JESUS' ACT OF DIVINE MERCY. MAKE NO CONCESSIONS IN THE TRUTH. BE
HONORED IF YOU ARE RIDICULED FOR IT IS ALL FOR JESUS' SAKE.

MY CHILDREN, YOU ARE MINE. I CARE FOR YOU WITH DEEP LOVE AND
SIMPLICITY - THE SIMPLICITY OF YOUR MOTHER. YOU TOO ARE SIMPLE SOULS.

WITH A DEEP LOVE AND SIMPLE HEART DO I GIVE YOUR BLESSING, AND I DO
THIS IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.

THE BLESSING OF CHRIST FALLS UPON YOU AS YOU PRAISE AND THANK GOD NOW
AND FOREVER.

Aug 28 St. Augustine

Saint Augustine

Lord,

renew in your Church

the spirit you gave

Saint Augustine.

Filled with this spirit,

may we thirst for you alone

as the fountain of wisdom

and seek you as the source

of eternal love.

We ask this through

our Lord Jesus Christ,

your Son,

who lives and reigns

with you

and the Holy Spirit,

one God,

for ever and ever.

Amen.

Bishop of Hippo (North Africa) from 395 and Doctor of the Church,
St. Augustine lived 354-430.
No other single theologian has exercised as decisive an influence on the shape
and character
of Western theology, both Catholic and Protestant, as Augustine.

Prayers of St. Augustine with beautiful pictures

www.geocities.com/ritapaz/saintaugustineprayers.html

St. Augustine was born in Africa in 354. His young adulthood was a stormy
period, including fathering a child out of wedlock. In his twenties he moved to
Milan, Italy, where he became a professor of rhetoric, but his personal life
continued to be stormy and wayward.

While in Milan, two things happened to him. First, he became increasingly
unhappy with his personal life, and second, he became attracted to Christianity.
It was in this frame of mind that he sat down one day and began to ponder his
life. Suddenly he broke into tears and began to cry out to God: "And you, Lord!
How long will you be angry with me? Forever?

Why not at this very hour put an
end to my life?" Augustine said later: I was crying out like this when,
suddenly, I heard the voice of a child. It seemed to say, "Take and read! Take
and read!" I stood up, for now the voice seemed like a command to read the
Bible. I got a Bible and opened it, and the first words my eyes fell upon were
from the letter of Paul to the Romans.

They read: "Throw off the works of
darkness and put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves properly as in
the day, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in rivalry and jealousy. But put on
the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh" (Rom
13:12-14).

When Augustine read this, he stopped. There was not need to go on. He says: "My
heart was suddenly flooded with a light that erased all my doubts. And my soul
was filled with a deep peace."

Application:

Today, as Our Lady asks, pray for the strength to continue your ongoing
conversion.

DAILY OFFERING PRAYER - O Jesus, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

Meditations by Padre Pio - Padre Pio's Prayer After Holy Communion

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You.

Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life and without You I am without fervor.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light and without You I am in darkness.

Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.

Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.

Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You very much and always be in Your company.

Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.

Stay with me, Lord, as poor as my soul is I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of Love.

Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close and life passes, death, judgment and eternity approaches. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You. It is getting late and death approaches, I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile!

Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all its dangers, I need You. Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.

Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to You, if not by Communion, at least by grace and love.

Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love,Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more. With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen.
