I was a prolific Church writer in the second and third centuries. The sunrise of my life was in and around 160 A.D. At Carthage. My father was a Roman Centurion in government (proconsular) service.

I was an advocate in the Roman (civil) law-courts. I spoke and read proficiently both Greek and Latin, writing in the former.

I converted to Christianity in my later years before 197 A.D.
I was consecrated a priest in the Church of Carthage in and around the year 200 A.D. Around 206 A.D. I joined the Montanist sect of Christianity, I am thought to have separated from the Orthodoxy of the Church in or about about 211A.D. or 213 A.D.

Later I separated from the Montanists and am said to have founded a Christian sect of his my own. Augustine reconciled my remaining followers (Tertullianists) to the Church. St Jerome says I lived to old age.

The Carthage Church system included those who committed grievous sins confessed them to the bishop. I absolved them after due penance enjoined and performed, unless the case was in his judgment so grave that public penance was obligatory.

Public penance was allowed only once. It lasted for protracted periods, even often until the death’s hour. At the end of it forgiveness and restoration were promised. At the prayer of martyrs, the term was frequently shortened.

It has been said my Trinitarian teaching proves inconsistent, an amalgamation of the Roman doctrine with that of Justin martyr.
But scholars have pointed out that I have the true formula for the Holy Trinity, tres Personae, una Substantia. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are numerically distinct, and each is they are of one substance, one state, and one power. My doctrine is Nicene derivative.

Though not in Scripture, my list of customs observed by Apostolic tradition remains renowned: the baptismal renunciations and feeding with milk and honey, fasting Communion, offerings for the dead (Masses) on their anniversaries, no fasting or kneeling on the Lord's Day and between Easter and Pentecost, anxiety as to the falling to the ground of any crumb or drop of the Holy Eucharist, the Sign of the Cross made continually during the day.

I am among the preeminent firsts of the Latin theological writers. I have developed a theological idiom of explanation. I have been said to have used new expressions. I am among the first witnesses to the Latin Bible being extant in my day. Scholars think I frequently translated from the Greek Bible in my writing. St.Perpetua (a pre-eminent African martyr of the early African Church) possessed one at Carthage in 203 A.D.

Christ the First-Fruits

“But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead came also through a human being.

For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life, but each one in proper order: Christ the first-fruits; then, at his coming, those who belong to Christ; then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has destroyed every sovereignty and every authority and power.

For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death, for ‘he subjected everything under his feet.’ But when it says that everything has been subjected, it is clear that it excludes the one who subjected everything to him.

When everything is subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.” 1 Cor 15:20–28

Yesterday it was sunny in the morning but it became cloudy in the afternoon and we had some rain during the night. It is still cloudy this morning but the rain is over.
I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning at the little shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. and in the evening I was at the prayer meeting at our church.

A large crowd came and the Holy Spirit was stirring in a very special way. I am sure His presence was felt by everybody there.

This morning I will celebrate Holy Mass at the little shrine of Our Lady at 9:30 a.m., as there are no Masses in the nearby churches. At 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, we will have a service at the chapel for the New Pentecost.

Here now is the message of Our Lord and Savior addressed to Joseph. Jesus spoke to him in these words,
“My life on earth was lived in the power of the Holy Spirit. I died on the cross for your salvation and for the opening of the gate of heaven. I suffered horribly through My Passion until My death on the cross.

I am the first fruit of those who died and were buried. Just three days after My death, I rose again alive never to die again. It is through the power of God that I was able to come back to life. You, too, who are My followers, will be brought back to life at My second coming.

All the dead will rise for the Day of Judgment. My followers will come with Me to heaven and the others will be driven away to hell.

Now is the time to prepare for My second coming. The time of mercy will be over and I will come as your judge. I will judge the living and the dead. If you follow Me every day, you will be on My right when I return.

Pray for the New Pentecost that the Holy Spirit may come with great power to strengthen your faith and to give you the graces you need to avoid evil. Start your walk with Me today and do not delay. Now is the time.”

In December of 1990, the Blessed Mother spoke of peace:
Dear children , today I invite you to pray especially for peace. Dear children, without peace you cannot experience the birth of the infant Jesus either today nor in your daily lives.

Therefore, pray to the Lord of Peace that he May protect you with his mantle and help you to comprehend the great importance of having peace in your hearts. In this way you will be able to spread peace in hearts around the whole world. I am with you and intercede for you before God.

Pray , for Satan wants to destroy my plans for peace. Be reconciled with one another and, through your lives, help peace to reign over the whole earth. (Monthly Message December 25, 1990).

The psalmist voices a prayer for peace:

Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, And grant us your salvation. Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, For he will speak peace to his people, To his faithful, to those who turn to him in their hearts.

Reflections:

On this Memorial Day, it is appropriate that we have heard Our Lady speak again of peace, for this is the cause for which so many of our countrymen have given their lives. Their courage and sacrifice have led us closer to that time when, as Isaiah says, "nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."

Application:

In memory and in appreciation of all those who gave their lives for freedom, democracy and peace, let us offer the following prayer today:

Lord Jesus Christ, today we honor the memory of those men and women who have given their lives for America in the cause of freedom. They have worked, fought, and died for the heritage of freedom, brotherhood, and peace that they have passed on to us. In scripture you said to us:

"Greater love than this no man has: that he lay down his life for his friends." We recall that you yourself gave up your life for all people in the cause of true freedom -to save us from sin and selfishness.

As we remember our honored dead, teach us to appreciate the virtue of patriotism-a true and Christian love of country. May we love this Land of the Free and seek to make it a land of goodness, refuge, and equality for all Americans. We place our nation unreservedly in your hands, for in you we hope and trust. Amen.

February 2, [1938]. Darkness of the soul. Today is the Feast of the Mother of God, and in my soul it is so dark. The Lord has hidden Himself, and I am alone, all alone. My mind has become so dimmed that I see only fantasies about me.

Not a single ray of light penetrates my soul. I do not understand myself or those who speak to me. Frightful temptations regarding the holy faith assail me. O my Jesus, save me. I cannot say anything more. I cannot describe these things in detail, for I fear lest someone be scandalized on reading this. I am astounded that such torments could befall a soul. O hurricane, what are you doing to the boat of my heart? This storm has lasted the whole day and night.

When Mother Superior [Irene] came in to see me and asked, "Would you like to take advantage of this occasion, Sister, since Father An. [Andrasz] is coming to hear confessions?" I answered, no. It seemed to me that Father would not understand me, nor would I be able to make a confession.

I spent the whole night with Jesus in Gethsemane. From my breast there escaped one continuous moan. A natural dying will be much easier, because then one is in agony and will die; while here, one is in agony, but cannot die. O Jesus, I never thought such suffering could exist. Nothingness: that is the reality.

O Jesus, save me! I believe in You with all my heart. So many times have I seen the radiance of Your face, and now, where are You, Lord?... I believe, I believe, and again I believe in You, Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and in all the truths which Your holy Church gives me to believe... But the darkness does not recede, and my spirit plunges into even greater agony. And at that moment, such terrible torment overwhelmed me that now I am amazed at myself that I did not breathe my last, but this was for only a brief instant. (1558)

May 28 - LIVE LOVE

Our Lady speaks of love today:

Dear children, I wish to thank you for all your sacrifices and I also call you to the greatest sacrifice, the sacrifice of love. Without love, you will be unable to accept either me or my Son. Without love, you will not be able to convey your experiences to others. Therefore, dear children, live love within your hearts. (Weekly Message March 27, 1986).

And from St. John's first letter, a famous passage on love:

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us ( 1 Jn 4:7-12).

Reflection:

Love can do the impossible. The New York Times once ran a story of a crippled woman leaving her crutches and running up a flight of stairs to rescue her 3 year old daughter, when fire threatened to trap the child in an upstairs bedroom.

The mother, injured in a car crash 2 years previously, had been unable to walk without crutches ever since the accident. Realizing that the life of her little daughter was at stake, she momentarily forgot her own physical handicap. She rushed to the upper floor, grabbed the sleeping child and carried her to safety.

For most of us, there are times when our capacity to love is obstructed by self-concern, worry, or a flagging faith. In such a case, the Blessed Mother recommends that we surrender these obstacles to her Son and, through prayer, seek the gift of divine love with a sincere heart.

Application:

Today, reflect prayerfully on John's full discourse on love (1 Jn 4:7-21), and then ask the Lord to instill this love within your heart.

Medjugorje Day By Day May 29 - WITNESS TO THIS PEACE

"All the saints of history . . . have been distinguished for the love of Our Lord in the Eucharist and for Mary . . . . So there is no canonized saint to whom I cannot cry out with confidence to obtain for me a great love for Mary so that I may borrow her Immaculate Heart to come closer to the Sacred Heart of Our Lord in the Eucharist" (John Haffert).

Start and end the day with prayer. Come to God as a child. If you find it hard to pray you can say, "Come Holy Spirit, guide me, protect me, clear out my mind so that I can pray." When you pray, give thanks to God for all His gifts because everything is His and a gift from Him. Your soul is a gift of God.

At that moment I saw Jesus, and from His Heart there issued those same two rays, which enveloped me, whole and entire. At the same moment, all my torments vanished. My daughter,the Lord said, know that of yourself you are just what you have gone through, and it is only by My grace that you are a participant of eternal life and all the gifts I lavish on you. And with these words of the Lord, there came to me a true knowledge of myself. Jesus is giving me a lesson in deep humility and, at the same time, one of total trust in Him. My heart is reduced to dust and ashes, and even if all people were to trample me under their feet, I would still consider that a favor.

I feel and am, in fact, very deeply permeated with the knowledge that I am nothing, so that real humiliations will be a refreshment for me. (1559)

And at that very moment I saw myself in some kind of a palace; and Jesus gave me His hand, sat me at His side, and said with kindness, My bride, you always please Me by your humility. The greatest misery does not stop Me from uniting Myself to a soul, but where there ispride, I am not there.

When I came to myself, I reflected on what had happened in my heart, thanking God for His love and for the mercy that He had shown me. (1563)

May 29 - WITNESS TO THIS PEACE

The Blessed Mother speaks of peace today:
Dear children, God has permitted me, in union with him, to found this oasis of peace. I call you to protect it. Through their indifference, some people destroy prayer and peace. And so I beseech you, witness to this peace by your lives, that it May be preserved (Weekly Message June 26, 1986).

And in Isaiah, the Lord promises a covenant of peace

For the mountains May depart, And the hills be removed, But my steadfast love shall not depart from you, And my covenant of peace shall not be removed, Says the Lord, who has compassion on you. --Isaiah 54:10

Reflection:

Sometimes a story of men living peace is more valuable than words about peace. F. H. Drinkwater tells such a story, set in Italy during World War II.

In the mountain village of Giazza, north of Verona, German paratroopers were going to execute some villagers, presumably for showing resistance. The parish priest, Fr. Domenico Mercante, offered himself as a hostage. The German accepted his offer, and decided to shoot him. When the time came, one of the firing-party refused to obey orders. "I can't shoot a priest," he said. He was placed at the priest's side, and both were shot together. The soldier's name is unknown.

Fifteen years later, the Bishop of Verona unveiled a simple white monument commemorating the two heroes.

The German embassy in Rome was represented, and the Italian Minister of Justice gave an address. He said, "The example of a priest and a soldier dying by the same rifle fire, in order that not only the written law but the unwritten law too should be respected, provides an example of great moral value. It gives rise to the hope that the cause for peace May find its strongest protection in the conscience of humble but heroic spirits."

Application:

Jesus and Our Lady both call us to live peace and pray for peace. Today, pray especially for peace, and strive to be a peacemaker this week within your family, at your workplace, and among your friends.

If you are searching for God and do not know where to begin, learn to pray and take the trouble to pray every day. You can pray at work - work doesn't have to stop prayer and prayer doesn't have to stop work. Tell Him everything, talk to Him. He is our father, He is to us all whatever religion we are. We are all created by God, we are his children. We have to put our trust in Him, believe in Him, work for Him. And if we pray, we will get all the answers we need.

May 27 - ESPECIALLY YOU, THE YOUNGEST

The following was given to Ivan's prayer group on Mt. Podbrdo in July of 1990:
Dear children, tonight your Mother would like to invite you again to prayer. Especially you, the youngest, who will be here in large numbers during these days. I call you to prayer.
Pray, pray, pray, and renew your hearts so you can accept all that I tell you in my messages. Thank you, dear children, for you make me happy by your prayers (Visionary Prayer Group July 30, 1990).

St. John also affirms the young:
I write to you, children,
Because you know the Father.
I write to you fathers,
Because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young people,
Because you are strong
And the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the evil one.

Reflection:

Two fifteen-year-old boys alarmed onlookers in Norfolk, Virginia, who watched them drift down the forty-foot-deep Elizabeth River on a makeshift raft. It was a 3 X 6 foot mortar box used by brick masons. The Coast Guard finally rescued them as they were floating toward the open ocean in their unseaworthy craft.

Young people are blessed with a daring and adventurous spirit. But it is important that their enthusiasm and resourcefulness be wisely directed. At the same time, great care must be taken not to suppress their spirit and potential.

The Lord himself encouraged his apostles to "launch out into the deep" as fishers of men. But at the same time he made sure they were rooted in divine truth and love. Through prayer and example, we can help young people to be daring in faith and in living the messages of Our Lady.

Application:

In prayer today, call to mind the young people of your family as well as others that you know. Commend them to the Blessed Mother that she May renew their hearts and help them to live her messages. Also today, be especially conscious of your example of faith to the young people around you.

SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH

"Glorious St. Joseph, tenderhearted father, faithful
guardian of Jesus, chaste spouse of the Mother of
God, I ask you to join me in praising God the Father
through His Divine Son who died on the cross and
rose again to give us sinners new life. Through the
Holy Name of Jesus, pray with me that we may obtain
from the eternal Father the favor we ask. (here

Say this prayer for nine consecutive days.

Fear not! God is your shelter (the 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer. God never fails). Don’t fail him. Call on Jesus. Jesus on the mainline, tell him what you want!

Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary Protectress of Africa

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Protectress of Africa, you have given to the world the true Light, Jesus Christ. Through your obedience to the Father and the grace of the Holy Spirit, you have given us the source of our reconciliation and our justice, Jesus Christ, our peace and our joy.

I head mastered the catechetical school of Alexandria, and taught Clement of Alexandria. I was born in Sicily, formerly a stoic; I traveled further into the Orient to preach Jesus.

I went to India and southern Arabia to preach Jesus. I died 7 July 200 A.D. Memorial,7 July, Latin Church, 22 June, Coptic Calendar.

Panbis (Pambo) I am the confessor and abbot of the Nitrian desert. I was a disciple of Saint Anthony. I practiced silence. I won martyrdom at Alexandria. Patriarch Theophilus condemned the theory of Anthropomorphism in a letter, 399 A.D. I was the monastery head—reportedly the only one—who required the paschal document to be read. 20 July

Paphnutius the Great. I was born in the Upper Thebaid, Kemet. I fought vigorously the Arian heresy in Africa. I was tortured, losing one eye to be plucked out, and one leg hamstrung, under Maximinus Thrax. After the year 311 A.D. I followed Saint Anthony; I was made a bishop of a diocese in the Thebaid.

Emperor Constantine respected me. I defended Athanasius, at the Synod of Tyre (335 A.D.). I promulgated that priests should not allowed to be married AFTER THEY ARE ORDAINED, at the first Council of Nicea. I died 356 A.D.; 11 Sept Latin Rite. 9 Feb, 1 May, Coptic Calendar.

My children, I Love you. I have taken your burdens but you must let go of them so that you can do My Work. There is much Work to be done and you must be about My Father’s business. I give you Graces to do this Work of Mine and you must do it in Love.

What is the point in only wanting to do a little of My Work because it suits you? What is the point of listening only to a few of My Words because they tell you that I Love you? No, children, this is not the way to follow Me. You must be prepared to take up your cross and follow Me where I lead you, all the time fighting against your very self, even if that means death.

My Truth is not for those who just wish to hear affirmations of how good they are; there is another side to My Truth, the side that is real and is a part of who I am. Take the Parable of the Wedding Feast, My children:

12 And he saith to him: Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? But he was silent.

13 Then the king said to the waiters: Bind his hands and feet and cast him into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called but few are chosen. Matthew 22:12-14

This, My children, is the real Truth and this is the Truth that I give you for these days. I Love you. Live as I have asked you to live.

People of this earth, look at Me! Do you really think that I do not exist?

You look at science and believe their lies for they are blind and do not truly understand the origin of life.

Life on this earth was created in an instant by My Father’s Hand.

Look at the Truth and see what I say: Adam and Eve were the first man and woman to walk this earth. They were the first to ignore Me and eat from the Tree of Knowledge and so sin was born in mankind.

Look at what I say, My people, and then you will find the true understanding of life.

I Love you, come and do not be afraid to be different and allow Love to flow once again.

My children, I Love you. I need you to co-operate with Me so that I can fulfil My Plans. I have called you to die to yourselves relentlessly. I have done this because the time is near and, through this, I bring you closer to Me. Through dying to self, I bring you to the point where you can see what you must do in order to follow Me. Self is blind so, therefore, I must heal you. The wheat grain must fall into the ground and die before it can produce fruit. You must relentlessly carry on in this mission.

Another of My Houses is ready for you. You must begin the process as I have shown you how to. Do not go against Me. Stay with Me for many Houses are needed.

I call to My children who read these Words: listen to Me as I call you. You pray to Me, you talk to Me, come now and help Me. Come and be part of the preparation that I make for the world, come and be part of the Salvation that takes place before your eyes.

My precious children of My Son's Most Wounded Sacred Heart, I ,your Almighty Father thank you for answering this invitation from your Blessed Trinity, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit to attend these retreats. Unboundless Graces were given to this world because of your sacrifice, your willingness to surrender, to come to this Special Day of Renewal, this Special Day of Renunciation.

For that is what you did this day, you renewed the gift of your Spiritual Life, and quenched your Soul with an outpouring of Our Love upon each one of you. You renounced the world and opened your heart and soul to receive Rays of My Son's Merciful Heart. It was also because of your willingness, which then drew these Rays upon mankind.

This world has closed itself off to your Almighty God, but you My children received all the Graces that the world did not want. Now, My children, continue on this Spiritual Journey with My Holy Son and you will walk in Grace! I invite all to open hearts to unite in prayer. I invite all to attend the Novenas of World Peace which is a gift of love from My Son to the world, to draw more souls to prayer and away from the worldly ways. My Son requested that our little ones begin a Novena For World Peace Pilgrimage and it has continued now each year during the special feast days of the Holy Cross and your Blessed Sorrowful Mother and this has brought many special graces upon your world.

Oh, how you have pleased Me, My children, and because you have answered Our Call to attend the retreats which took place on the Holy Feast of the Ascension, and will take place on the Holy Feast of Pentecost Sunday, ending the Retreat on the Feast of the Most Holy Blessed Trinity.

I desire to give you very special Graces. I invite you, my children, to accept My Son's and My Invitation to attend the Novena For World Peace Retreat Pilgrimage to Medjugorje. Just knowing that Jesus desired this retreat for us so that he could personally instruct us and reveal Himself to us in a deeper way made this very special for me. I have always felt that people who receive personal messages from Jesus were specially chosen to receive these extraordinary graces and that the average person could not expect Jesus to speak to them.

But through these lessons, Jesus is teaching us that He wants to speak to each of us individually if on ly we would open the “ears of our soulsto really listen and hear what He is saying to us! For someone like me, this is not easy, and it definitely takes a lot of TRUST in Our Lord! In a different group of people I think it would have been much more difficult to share something this personal with others, but because of our closeness to each other in this ministry, I felt quite comfortable and safe sharing with the others these words from Jesus.

Fr. Reiser also did a beautiful job of explaining the mystery of the Holy Trinity in an understandable way, and his teachings about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit were very clear and simple. I actually feel that I will remember the examples he gave us to illustrate the various Gifts of the Holy Spirit!

1. My child , you are My beloved, precious daughter, and I love you. Remain in My love always. As you spend more time with Me, you will come to know Me more intimately, and your love for Me will grow ever deeper. Do not be disturbed that the rest of the world does not understand you, as this is to be expected when you are following in My footsteps.

2. My child, I want you to be pure and holy as I am holy. Continue to confess your sins frequently. Live in My light as My child, and remain close to Me. Every time you confess your sins to one of my priest sons, you are given immeasurable graces to help you grow in holiness.

(After meditating on the Stations of the Cross) I Who was sinless came to earth to redeem the world from sin. I willingly took all the sins of the world past, present and future on My shoulders. How I am hurt by mankind’s indifference to My sacrifice... Console Me as My beloved Veronica did, for the sins of the world and for those who refuse to come to Me for forgiveness. Your Jesus Crucified

3. My child, good and evil have existed since the beginning of the world. The evil one in his pride has tried to thwart My plans over and over. He does not give up. I am Almighty God, and I have already won the battle and this entire war! My plan will NOT fail! I call you to stand beside Me now and fight the enemy with all your strength. I will lead you. Have courage; be not afraid. I love you!

Messages Received at Retreat from Jesus to Gerry Anderson

What I learned at the Novena for World Peace Retreat:

I was excited to come to this retreat, because I knew it would be special. I have written messages before, so that was not new to me. What was new, was that when I meditated on the stations of the cross as directed by Patsy, I felt so very much emotion. When I read the message on that station, I became overwhelmed with emotion and cried.

I was glad that I cared so much about Jesus suffering. Sometimes I feel like I take Him for granted. The best thing about this retreat, though, is what has happened since the retreat. My prayers are better. They are more sincere. I feel stronger in my faith. I feel like God is blessing us. We have had financial struggles and they seem to suddenly be lifting.

My daughter, Veronica, cal led today and was much better, more like herself. She had called during the retreat to tell us that Mark had a couple more seizures, which was really bothering her. The doctor reassured her that this was normal for brain cancer patients, and not to be too surprised.

Thank you, Patsy for having the courage to do God’s will.

Message #1: My child, this comes to your mind very strongly now because of the culture in which you find yourself living. As in my day, the leaders in the church, which would be the synagogue, did not recognize me, even when I was among them. So, too, the world does not recognize my children who resemble me. They treat my children just as they treated me, and there were very few among them who stood up for me.

Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea were among them. Who today would represent these two men? Would it be the Holy Father and those who support him? Would it be the parish priest who allowed this Novena? Would it be Fr. Reiser? My priest-sons who resemble me--those of you who are blessed with my Holy spirit recognize the spirit of truth when it is spoken.

Not all in the world do--it is to them that I send you to proclaim the good news of the gospel. Proclaim it for all the world to see. Of whom should you be afraid? Fear not men, but fear God who has the power to send you to everlasting life or to the fires of hell.

My child be little and then I will be able to speak to you more clearly. Concentrate on the simple, little things and I will use them to teach you great lessons that you can apply to your life. To be pure is to be little. A baby is pure. Jesus is pure. Mary is pure. Try to imitate the little one.

Message #2: My child, I will make this simple for you. Lawlessness is a lack of law. The reason that struck you is that you know that there is a lack of my law in your land in this day.

No longer is my holy day honored--there are baseball games and picnics. Nobody thinks of honoring their savior. Because they have accepted this lack of law, their consciences are seared and they no longer know the truth. The truth has become inconvenient and uncomfortable, where it used to be the normal way of life. Think about this, my children.

How I have become an object of derision and scorn even in this day. Those who defend my honor are mocked20and treated with contempt. You must hold onto the truth and proclaim it. The day will come when all who mock me will be put to shame. Do not allow yourselves to be among them. I have called you out of darkness into my own wonderful light.

Oh Jesus, when I saw you stripped of your clothes, I thought about how the sins of the flesh so offend you.
The awfulness of you being stripped and naked before your tormentors fills my heart with dread.

Why did god allow them to do this to you, to let them go so far with their evil against you. My mind has a har time comprehending this--the shame of it all. How are we to view this station?

My child, I love you, my children so very much. If I had not allowed such indignities, then how could one of my children who ever had to suffer such indignity ever be able to identify with me? I wished to leave no one out, when I suffered my passion and death. No person can ever say that they suffered more than I did, for I gave my all for the world. I allowed myself to be emptied for their sake.

I tell you now, from my cross, so that you will retain it in your heart--I suffered all so that you and all those sitting here in this church could have eternal life and be happy with me in heaven. Do not waste my gifts to you. I you do, then I will give them to another.

Message #3: All who do what is right are on the side of Christ. The good people who held the tea parties, they were on the side of right. Good people can see what is happening in your land. They are doing20the work of Christ--being his hands, his feet, his voice. You must do so also, my child. Do not fear doing what is right, because the one who does what is right is pleasing in my sight.

You hold a gift in your hearts this day. Do not let satan tear it away from you. Hold fast to this gift and claim it as your own. When the waves of doubt wash over you, stand up and claim that you are a child of the King and you have inherited his own righteousness. Spend time with me before the blessed sacrament, for I am lonely for your companionship. This pleases me very much, my children.

the statue, I prayed to the blessed mother for Mark and Veronica for their suffering to end. It was as if I heard her say--I had to accept my suffering. You need to do the same. What does that mean for us? That you need to hold Mark and Veronica up continually in prayer during this time. Do not relax your efforts, but keep the prayers strong and continuous for their safety.

Message #4: (This one I shared spontaneously with the group) My child, I so often have the desire for my children to listen to my whispering voice--but they hear a word, but then they dismiss it, as if they made it up themselves. You must listen, clear your mind of all other distractions, and if a word or a sentence comes to you, then write that down in faith--the rest will come in the same way--maybe haltingly at first, but then the Spirit will begin to ramble on and sometimes the pen will fly so swiftly that you cannot keep up.

In this way, you are hearing my words from deep within--these words are for all the faithful of this world. None is barred from my grace. I wish to enjoin this upon you this day. Seek my face and I wil l visit you often throughout your day. You need not fear, my little ones, for I am pleased to bring my gifts upon each one of you.

Messages Received at Retreat from Jesus to Linda

A retreat. Time spent with God. Away from all the worldly things that keep pulling us away from those things we want to do with God like praying, daily masses, adoration, etc. This retreat was really great. It was like a class in listening to God talking to you and writing it down.

Some people were sure God doesn’t speak to them, but then they wrote what was in their hearts. Some people had a sentence, or several paragraphs. All were beautiful. Many thoughts were repeated in various people’s writings. Some were more advanced in hearing Jesus and had long beautiful. Profound writings. I left feeling like I was on a high and it is still lasting two days later. Thank You Jesus !!

Thoughts from the Holy Spirit:

I am here for you always.

I am love for you always.

I am the sanctifier for you always.

I am your strength Rely on Me. You think you cannot do things, but with My help all things are possible. Listen to Me in the stillness of your heart and I will speak to you. Come to Me daily for nourishment. You will grow stronger in time to come. I will lead you on the path I wish you to go. Wait on Me. I want you. I love you. I need you. You have been blessed by the Holy Spirit.

Thoughts from Jesus:

Wait on God his plan is perfect. Do not do what in your meager understanding tells you but wait on the Divine Master. Trust in God, He is trustworthy. I love you my child. You’re Jesus of Mercy.

Remember when you thought you could not be called righteous as you knew you=2 0had sinned. I your Lord of Mercy came to take away that sin that you may be called righteous, and a child of God. You are my child and I fight to keep my children with me. Do not turn away from me. The evil one is constantly trying to tempt you away from God. I have given you the sacrament of reconciliation where you can reconcile with your God and once again be righteous in him.

So, be strong in Christ. Continue to do righteous deeds and acts of love. Abide in Me as I abide in you. I bless you and your family my beloved. Thank you for coming today to my retreat and for trusting in me. You have been given many graces, not just for you but also for your family.

Your daughter, Stacey, has profited much from you coming today. Her love is softening toward you. Your grandchildren have also received many gifts from today. Try hard my beloved child to come to the next two retreats. Their rewards are richer than pure gold. I love you. You’re Jesus of Mercy.

This world is in chaos due to its lawlessness. They choose not to follow my commandments. They turn their backs on me.&n bsp; They doubt I exist. It is easier to follow the ways of the world. They do not want me to be their God. They choose money and power.

Pride propels them onward down the road to perdition. You my beloved children are to be the light that sets their feet on the road to Me. To heaven, to eternity with a loving God. Why, Oh why do they turn away you ask.

It is because of original sin and their weakness to sin. Pray for them my child. Offer your sufferings for them. Many are going to Hell as they have no one to pray for them. This is your goal to save souls.

Jesus would go through his sufferings to save just one soul. What will you offer my child? Do not be afraid to suffer as I am with you always. Choose for God. I need your prayers and sufferings to save souls. I love you my child. You’re Jesus of Mercy.

I died for your sins. I pick up the cross and carry it though it was heavy. I might have wished this suffering to pass me by. Be willing to pick up your cross my beloved every day.

Look for other opportunities to offer sufferings not just your health. Go=2 0out of your way to help someone or go the extra effort to do any task/chore, but do it out of love for me. I love you my child. You’re Jesus of Mercy.

Messages Received at Retreat from Jesus to Donna

I felt very comforted and at Peace at the retreat. I liked how we broke for eating and shared our food, did not quite understand that in the earlier instructions.
I was surprised how fast the time went. I was dreading being at a retreat "the whole day" because I just came off a Cursillo retreat last weekend and was still very tired.
One thing, though, during the Rosary at St Patrick's, I felt this enormous wave of stillness, and either fell aslee p for a few minutes, or rested in the Spirit.

I think I rested in the Spirit because I could still hear everything around me. That hasn't happened to me very often, so I am surprised when it does.
I especially liked the sharing of messages from everyone; could really tell that they were from Jesus. How awesome that He spoke to us directly !!!!!

The following was given to Ivan's prayer group on Mt. Podbrdo in July of 1990:

Dear children, tonight your Mother would like to invite you again to prayer. Especially you, the youngest, who will be here in large numbers during these days. I call you to prayer.

Pray, pray, pray, and renew your hearts so you can accept all that I tell you in my messages. Thank you, dear children, for you make me happy by your prayers (Visionary Prayer Group July 30, 1990).

Reflection:

Two fifteen-year-old boys alarmed onlookers in Norfolk, Virginia, who watched them drift down the forty-foot-deep Elizabeth River on a makeshift raft. It was a 3 X 6 foot mortar box used by brick masons. The Coast Guard finally rescued them as they were floating toward the open ocean in their unseaworthy craft.

Young people are blessed with a daring and adventurous spirit. But it is important that their enthusiasm and resourcefulness be wisely directed. At the same time, great care must be taken not to suppress their spirit and potential.

The Lord himself encouraged his apostles to "launch out into the deep" as fishers of men. But at the same time he made sure they were rooted in divine truth and love. Through prayer and example, we can help young people to be daring in faith and in living the messages of Our Lady.

Application:

In prayer today, call to mind the young people of your family as well as others that you know. Commend them to the Blessed Mother that she May renew their hearts and help them to live her messages. Also today, be especially conscious of your example of faith to the young people around you.

SHORT POWERFUL PRAYER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH
